  • Leo Carlsson C | ANA

Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Four-point burst in win

Carlsson scored a goal on two shots, added three assists and went plus-3 in Friday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings.

Carlsson's tally came at even strength, but he had a helper on Troy Terry's shorthanded goal and empty-netter and also assisted a Chris Kreider power-play marker. The 20-year-old Carlsson has three goals and six assists during his five-game point streak. The Swedish center is up to five tallies, 10 helpers, 27 shots on net, seven blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 10 appearances. This is a breakout season in the making for the second-overall pick from 2023.

  • Blue Jackets' Luca Del Bel Belluz: Tallies twice for Monsters

Del Bel Belluz scored two goals on four shots in AHL Cleveland's 4-3 overtime win over Milwaukee on Friday.

Del Bel Belluz has opened the AHL campaign with five points over six outings. The 21-year-old center put up eight points over 15 games with the Blue Jackets last year, so he's essentially knocking on the door of the NHL. The Blue Jackets have been unusually healthy to begin 2025-26, but Del Bel Belluz figures to be one of the first call-ups when injuries arise in Columbus.

  • Flames' Cullen Potter: One of each Friday

Potter scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Arizona State University's 4-1 win over Miami University on Friday.

Potter's goal was his first of the season. The 18-year-old had 22 points in 35 outings with the Sun Devils last season, including 13 goals, but he seems to have taken a step back in that area this year. A first-round pick of the Flames in 2025, Potter is a strong skater with decent offensive instincts, but he'll likely never be a team-leading scorer in the professional leagues, instead serving as a skilled forward who can create supplementary offense.

  • Brock Nelson C | COL

Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Lights lamp Friday

Nelson scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Golden Knights.

Nelson has scored twice over the last three games. The 34-year-old center is still looking for a rhythm on offense -- he has yet to post a multi-point performance this season, and just one of his four points has come on the power play. He's added 19 shots on net, nine hits, 10 blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-5 rating over 12 appearances in a second-line role.

  • Islanders' Jean-Gabriel Pageau: Nets shortie in win

Pageau scored a shorthanded goal in Friday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

Pageau has two goals and a helper over his last five games. His tally Friday tied the game at 1-1. It was his third shorthanded point of the campaign, though he hasn't been able to find the scoresheet with the man advantage. Pageau is up to three goals, three assists, 11 shots on net, 19 hits, 10 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 11 appearances in a third-line role.

  • Islanders' Mathew Barzal: Deposits empty-netter

Barzal scored an empty-net goal on two shots in Friday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

Barzal was scratched for missing the bus to the morning skate Thursday in Carolina, but he was back in his usual top-six spot for Friday's contest. He supplied an insurance tally near the end of the game to help secure the Islanders' first win in four games. Barzal is up to three goals, six assists, 19 shots on net, nine blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-5 rating over 10 appearances this season.

  • Bo Horvat C | NYI

Islanders' Bo Horvat: Nets go-ahead goal Friday

Horvat scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

Horvat put the Islanders ahead 2-1 with his tally at 4:29 of the third period. The 30-year-old center has had a productive first month of the campaign, racking up seven goals and five assists over 11 games. He's earned three points during the Islanders' recent four-game road trip, and he'll look to keep the offense rolling at home against the Blue Jackets on Sunday.

  • Tomas Hertl C | LV

Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Scores, assists Friday

Hertl notched a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Hertl posted a second straight multi-point effort, as he also delivered a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes. Hertl has notched four multi-point performances this season and is up to 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 11 appearances.

  • Martin Necas C | COL

Avalanche's Martin Necas: Three points in win

Necas had a goal and two assists in Friday's 4-2 win over the Golden Knights.

Necas opened the scoring for the Avalanche just 41 seconds into the game on a one-timer, and he'd later contribute directly to the goals scored by Brent Burns and Cale Makar. Necas continues to produce at a high level for the Avs and has cracked the scoresheet in all but two of his 12 appearances so far.

  • Avalanche's Gavin Brindley: Injured Friday

Brindley (upper body) sustained an injury on a hit in Friday's game versus the Golden Knights, but there was no update on his status after the contest, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports.

Brindley was hurt in the second period. The 21-year-old has been filling a fourth-line role this season. His status for Saturday's game against the Sharks may boil down to a game-time decision.
