  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Stretches lead with goal

Stankoven scored a goal on five shots and added 12 PIM in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Capitals.

Stankoven extended the Hurricanes' lead to 4-0 in the middle of the second period. He was also involved in hostilities at the end of the contest, leading to a misconduct penalty after he mixed it up with Tom Wilson. Stankoven hasn't taken off as a scorer with the Hurricanes, but he has six points and 27 shots on net over 11 appearances since he was flipped in the Mikko Rantanen deal with the Stars. For the season, Stankoven is at 12 goals, 35 points, 175 shots on net, 45 hits and a plus-2 rating across 70 games.

  • Marco Rossi C | VAN

Wild's Marco Rossi: Pots equalizer in overtime loss

Rossi scored a goal on five shots and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Rangers.

Rossi's goal 22 seconds into the third period would ultimately force overtime. The 23-year-old has slowed down late in the campaign with just five points and a minus-10 rating over 16 contests since the start of March. He's at 23 goals, 33 assists, 127 shots on net, 55 hits, 38 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating through 76 outings overall and remains in a top-six role, so he could bounce back before the end of the regular season.

  • Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Nets game-winner in overtime

Trocheck scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Wild.

Trocheck cashed in on a feed from Artemi Panarin, ending a back-and-forth game 24 seconds into overtime. This was Trocheck's second game in a row with a goal, and he has five tallies and five assists over his last 10 outings. For the season, the center continues to be a reliable all-around option with 22 goals, 52 points, 185 shots on net, 207 hits, 73 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating across 75 appearances.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Won't play versus Blues

Malkin (upper body) skated Thursday but won't be in the lineup against St. Louis, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.

Malkin will be sidelined for his fourth consecutive contest due to his lingering upper-body issue. The veteran center was finding his stride offensively prior to getting hurt with three points and two helpers, including three power-play points, in his last seven outings. Until Malkin is given the all-clear, Rickard Rakell looks set to remain in the center position.

  • Ozzy Wiesblatt RW | NSH

Predators' Ozzy Wiesblatt: Called up by Nashville

Wiesblatt was recalled from AHL Milwaukee on Thursday.

Wiesblatt has spent minimal time in the NHL this year, making just four appearances for the Predators and recording an assist, eight hits and two blocked shots while averaging 11:03 of ice time. However, he'll provide additional depth for Nashville while Jonathan Marchessault (lower body) and Colton Sissons (lower body) are banged up.

  • Lightning's Luke Glendening: Back with squad Thursday

Glendening (personal) rejoined the Lightning ahead of Thursday's game against Ottawa, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports.

Glendening sat out Tuesday's clash with the Islanders for the birth of his child, but he is back in the mix for Thursday's tilt. The 35-year-old forward is currently mired in a 17-game pointless streak dating back to Feb. 23 versus the Kraken. During that slump, the Michigan native has managed a mere nine shots but has chipped in 19 hits and 17 blocks while averaging 11:17 of ice time.

  • Seth Jarvis C | CAR

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Pots goal No. 30

Jarvis pocketed a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Capitals.

The Hurricanes scored three times with the man advantage on the night, and Jarvis got his share of the production with his 30th goal of the season in the first period, and the only helper on a Jackson Blake tally in the third. Jarvis has scored at least 30 goals in two straight seasons, and he still has a shot at tying his career highs, or establishing new ones, in both goals and points. After racking up 33 goals and 67 points in 2023-24, the 23-year-old has 30 goals and 60 points this season with eight games left on Carolina's regular-season schedule.

  • Gustav Nyquist RW | WPG

Wild's Gustav Nyquist: Two-point effort in OT loss

Nyquist scored a power-play goal and added a shorthanded assist in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Rangers.

The veteran winger opened the scoring exactly nine minutes into the first period before setting up Marcus Johansson for a shortie midway through the second. It was Nyquist's first multi-point performance since the first game of 2025, and he's had a tough time adjusting since being shipped north by the Predators at the trade deadline. Over 16 appearances with the Wild, Nyquist has just one goal and five points.

  • Jared McCann C | SEA

Kraken's Jared McCann: Distributes three assists

McCann produced three assists, two shots on goal, five blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Canucks.

This was a great all-around performance from McCann, who bounced back after his four-game point streak was snapped Monday versus the Stars. The 28-year-old has two goals and eight assists across his last eight outings. For the season, he's up to 55 points, 186 shots on net, 46 hits, 47 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 76 appearances. It's been far from his best campaign, but he still has a plausible chance at the 60-point mark for the third straight year.

  • Kraken's Michael Eyssimont: Capitalizes on turnover

Eyssimont scored a goal on two shots, added four PIM, logged two hits and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Canucks.

Eyssimont corralled an errant pass in the neutral zone and cut into the Canucks' zone, gaining enough separation for a clean shot on the opening goal. That tally held up as the game-winner, his first such goal as a member of the Kraken. He's earned five points in 14 games with Seattle and has a total of 15 points, 132 shots on net, 103 hits, 63 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 71 appearances this season when accounting for his time with the Lightning prior to the trade deadline.
