Zibanejad registered a goal and an assist in Sweden's 5-1 win over Latvia in the 2026 Winter Olympics on Tuesday.
Zibanejad recorded two points in the Olympic opener against Italy on Feb. 11, and he continues to find a way to produce with another two-point tally. Zibanejad is tied for second in points on the Swedish team, trailing only Lucas Raymond, who has eight (one goal, seven helpers) after a three-assist performance in this win.

Sheldon Dries C | DET
Red Wings' Sheldon Dries: Sent back to minors
Dries was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Tuesday.
After spending the day on the Red Wings' active roster, Dries will return to Grand Rapids alongside Austin Watson. The 31-year-old Dries hasn't appeared in an NHL game yet this season, but has compiled 17 goals, a plus-18 rating and 33 points across 39 games with the Griffins this season. His brief stint with the NHL club could be foreshadowing a move back to Detroit later in the season if Dries continues to score at his current pace.

Oskar Sundqvist C | STL
Blues' Oskar Sundqvist: Absent from practice
Sundqvist (upper body) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice after he underwent surgery during the Olympic break, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Sundqvist could receive clearance to play as early as Monday, meaning his availability for the Blues' matchup against Seattle on Feb. 26 probably isn't in jeopardy. He has produced four goals, 14 points, 34 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and 53 hits across 43 appearances this season.

Martin Necas C | COL
Avalanche's Martin Necas: One of each against Denmark
Necas tallied a goal, recorded an assist and fired five shots on net in Czechia's 3-2 win over Denmark in Olympic qualification round play Tuesday.
Necas stayed hot in Tuesday's qualifying matchup with his third multi-point outing of the Olympics. He struck the back of the net on a power play early in the second period to give Czechia the first goal of the game before he later helped out on the team's second goal. With the two-point outing, Necas is up to three goals, four assists, seven points and a plus-one rating across four Olympic appearances. The star forward will likely need to post another multi-point game if Czechia is to advance past Canada in the quarterfinals Wednesday.

Matthew Savoie C | EDM
Oilers' Matt Savoie: Sent down to minors
Savoie was loaned to AHL Bakersfield on Tuesday.
With NHL action at a standstill for the Olympic break, the Oilers will give the young Savoie some extra game reps with the move to Bakersfield. The move will send the 22-year-old forward to the AHL for the first time this season, where he posted 19 goals, 35 assists and 54 points across 66 regular-season games in 2024-25. He has held his own at the NHL level this season with nine goals, nine assists, 79 shots on net and 28 blocked shots across 58 outings. Savoie will likely return to the Oilers before the team resumes regular-season play Feb. 25 in Anaheim.

Josh Samanski C | EDM
Oilers' Josh Samanski: Two points in Olympic win
Samanski scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Germany's 5-1 win over France in Olympic qualification round play Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Oilers prospect picked up his first points of the tournament while working on the power play with NHL teammate Leon Draisaitl. Samanski will look to carry that momentum into Wednesday's quarterfinals tilt against Slovakia.

Leon Draisaitl C | EDM
Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Three-point effort in German win
Draisaitl scored a goal and added two assists in Germany's 5-1 win over France in Olympic qualification round play Tuesday.
The Oilers star opened the scoring early in the first period with a power-play tally, then helped set up goals by Josh Samanski and Nico Sturm in the third, with Samanski's strike also coming on the man advantage. Draisaitl has carried Germany into Wednesday's quarterfinals with two goals and six points through four games, but a dangerous Slovakia squad stands between him and a chance at an Olympic medal.

Nico Hischier C | NJ
Devils' Nico Hischier: Leads Swiss into quarterfinals
Hischier scored a goal and added two assists in Switzerland's 3-0 win over Italy in Olympic qualification round action Tuesday.
The Devils center set up Philipp Kurashev for what proved to be the game-winner just 79 seconds into the first period, then helped provide insurance tallies on two Swiss power plays. Hischier's own third-period goal was his first of the tournament, and through four games, he's produced four points. He'll likely need to come up big again if Switzerland's going to have a chance of upsetting Finland in the quarterfinals Wednesday.

Radek Faksa C | DAL
Stars' Radek Faksa: Will remain sidelined Wednesday
Faksa (upper body) will not be an option for Czechia's quarterfinals matchup versus Canada on Wednesday in the 2026 Winter Olympics, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Faksa will remain unavailable for a second straight game -- he missed Tuesday's 3-2 win over Denmark in the qualifying round. Barring a miraculous upset over the Canadians, Faksa won't be in action until at least Feb. 25, when the Stars resume play against the Kraken.
