  • Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Ruled out for Game 5

Lundkvist (face) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Wild, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Lundkvist exited Saturday's Game 4 against Minnesota after suffering a deep facial laceration, and he'll be forced to miss at least one additional matchup. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Thursday's Game 6, but the Stars are hopeful that Lundkvist will be able to return before the end of the first-round series. The Stars haven't yet announced Lundkvist's replacement for Tuesday's game, but Ilya Lyubushkin is a candidate to enter the lineup.

  • Bruins' Nikita Zadorov: Questionable for Game 5

Zadorov (undisclosed) missed Monday's practice session, raising doubts about his availability for Game 5 versus the Sabres on Tuesday, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.

Zadorov has seemingly been playing through an injury, but that hasn't stopped him from averaging 18:06 of ice time in the playoffs -- though that is significantly below his regular-season average of 20:53. If Zadorov is forced to sit out Game 5, it would likely be Mason Lohrei who steps into the lineup Tuesday.

  • Kings' Joel Edmundson: Scores in playoff exit

Edmundson scored a goal in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Avalanche in Game 4 of the Western Conference first round.

Edmundson found the back of the net in the second period with a wrister, but that would be all the offense the Kings would muster throughout the game. It was also Edmundson's lone point of a playoff run that ended with Sunday's loss. He had a career-high 23 points (two goals, 21 assists) in 82 regular-season contests, but he was far from a reliable fantasy performer, although he had more upside in leagues that reward physicality with his 97 hits and 111 blocked shots.

  • Artem Zub D | OTT

    Senators' Artem Zub: Recovery ongoing

Zub (lower body) remains about a month away from being fully fit, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports Monday.

Based on Zub's announced timeline, the Senators would have needed a very deep run for him to return during the postseason. In 81 regular-season appearances, the 30-year-old blueliner notched five goals and 25 assists, reaching the 30-point threshold for the first time in his six-year NHL career. Hopefully, the team will provide an update in the future, but fantasy managers should anticipate he'll be ready for the start of training camp in the fall.

  • Cale Makar D | COL

Avalanche's Cale Makar: Scores in Game 4 win

Makar scored a goal in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Kings in Game 4 of the Western Conference first round.

After going pointless in the first two games of the series, Makar has scored in back-to-back contests. The star blueliner, who was one of the most productive defensemen in the regular season with 20 goals and 79 points in 75 contests, should continue playing a big role for the Avalanche on offense in the second round.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Goal, assist in overtime loss

Bouchard scored a goal on three shots and dished an assist, both on the power play, in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks in Game 4.

Bouchard set up Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' first-period tally before scoring one of his own in the third. With four points over the two road games in this series, Bouchard's offense has returned after he was held off the scoresheet in the first two contests. He's added seven shots on net, four blocked shots and a minus-6 rating while seeing his usual top-pairing minutes.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Ducks' John Carlson: Puts up pair of helpers

Carlson logged two assists, including one on the power play, and added two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 4.

This performance puts Carlson at four helpers over four playoff games. He's added five shots on net, nine blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating while seeing steady top-four minutes. Carlson was traded from the Capitals at the deadline, and he put up 60 points with 153 shots on net, 106 blocked hots and a plus-9 rating over 71 regular-season appearances. Prior to this year, the 36-year-old gained plenty of playoff experience, earning 21 goals and 78 points over 137 postseason outings with the Capitals, including one run that ended with the Stanley Cup in hand in 2018.

  • Ducks' Jackson LaCombe: Third straight multi-point game

LaCombe notched two assists, two shots on goal, two hits and two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 4.

LaCombe has stepped up in the playoffs, earning a goal and seven assists over four games against the Oilers. He set up Cutter Gauthier on the power play in the second period and also helped out on Jeffrey Viel's game-tying tally in the third. LaCombe has also picked up nine shots on net, five hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-5 rating this postseason. If the Ducks dispatch the Oilers and go on a deep run, LaCombe is poised for substantial recognition on a national scale as the leader of Anaheim's blue line.

  • Andrew Peeke D | BOS

Bruins' Andrew Peeke: Posts helper Sunday

Peeke logged a shorthanded assist, three shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Sabres in Game 4.

Peeke's gritty style is made for the postseason, though this was his first point in four contests against the Sabres in the first round. He's added six hits, six blocked shots, 14 PIM and a plus-2 rating. The defenseman is in the postseason for the second time in his career -- he was held off the scoresheet in six appearances during the Bruins' 2024 playoff run. He had 14 points, 105 hits, 135 blocks and 82 shots on net over 77 regular-season outings this year.

  • Kaiden Guhle D | MON

Canadiens' Kaiden Guhle: Chips in with helper

Guhle logged an assist, 11 hits and two blocked shots in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Lightning in Game 4.

Guhle picked up his first career playoff point when he set up a Zachary Bolduc tally in the second period. The 24-year-old Guhle took some games off late in the regular season for maintenance, but he has returned to a top-four role, including some heavier minutes due to the first three games of this series going to overtime. In four contests against the Lightning, Guhle has added four shots on net, 21 hits, nine blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-3 rating.
