  • Owen Power D | BUF

Sabres' Owen Power: Tallies goal in loss

Power scored a goal on six shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens.

Power ended his 24-game goal drought with the tally. In that span, he was limited to seven assists, but he added 37 shots on net and a plus-10 rating. The 23-year-old defenseman hasn't stepped up much this season with four goals, 16 points, 83 shots on net, 51 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 53 outings. He's still playing a big role in the top four, and he's doing enough defensively to help the Sabres stay in the tight playoff race.

  • Noah Dobson D | MON

Canadiens' Noah Dobson: Gathers two helpers

Dobson logged a pair of assists, four shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Sabres.

Dobson filled the stat sheet with a strong performance to end January. The defenseman put up eight points, 35 shots on net, 40 blocks and 17 hits over 16 outings for the month, and it's a testament to his skills that that production looks a little low. Overall, Dobson is at 35 points, 110 shots on net, 135 blocks and a plus-10 rating across 55 appearances in his first year with the Canadiens.

  • Rangers' Braden Schneider: Logs helper Saturday

Schneider notched an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Penguins.

Schneider has three helpers over his last eight outings. The 24-year-old defenseman is seeing steady top-four minutes, mainly as a defensive presence, while Adam Fox (lower body) remains out. Schneider is up to 11 points, 74 shots on net, 120 hits, 89 blocked shots and a minus-14 rating through 56 appearances. His physicality gives him some appeal in deep fantasy formats, but he's on pace for his lowest-scoring season since his rookie year of 2021-22.

  • Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Earns 700th career assist

Karlsson registered an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.

The helper was Karlsson's 700th career assist. The 35-year-old defenseman reached the 900-point mark earlier in January, putting him within 100 points of becoming the ninth defenseman in NHL history to record 1,000 regular-season points. The assist was Karlsson's first point in four contests since he returned from a lower-body injury. He's at 34 points, 100 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 48 appearances this season.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Snags helper Saturday

Ristolainen logged an assist and two hits in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Kings.

This was Ristolainen's first point in four games since he returned from an upper-body injury. He had a lower-body injury scare Jan. 28 versus the Blue Jackets but ultimately didn't miss another game. The 31-year-old has been limited to four helpers, 26 shots on net, 20 hits and 26 blocked shots through 17 outings this season, and his low production and injury risk make it tough to trust him in fantasy.

  • Kings' Drew Doughty: Snaps slump with helper

Doughty recorded an assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers.

Doughty snapped a 14-game point drought with the helper on Quinton Byfield's overtime tally. The 36-year-old Doughty went minus-13 with 23 shots on net, 10 hits, eight blocked shots and 14 PIM in that span. He's shown some age-related regression this season with just 14 points over 45 appearances, and Doughty has also taken a step back in physicality with 24 hits, 49 blocks and 28 PIM. Still, he's playing a large role on the top pairing, so there is some potential for an uptick in production.

  • Lightning's Maxim Groshev: Returned to AHL

Groshev has been reassigned to AHL Syracuse, according to the NHL media site.

Groshev's reassignment comes in combination with the activation of star Victor Hedman from injured reserve. The 24-year-old Groshev got in one game at the NHL level in this most recent stint, skating for 9:57 against the Mammoth on Jan 26. He'll head to AHL Syracuse, where he has 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) in 35 games.

  • Lightning's Victor Hedman: Removed from IR

Hedman (elbow) was activated from injured reserve Sunday, per the NHL media site.

Following a 22-game absence, Hedman appears ready to return to the lineup against Boston on Sunday. He has compiled 12 assists, 25 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and eight hits across 18 appearances this season. Hedman will probably occupy a role on the top pairing and see time on the power play against the Bruins on Sunday.

  • Roman Josi D | NSH

Predators' Roman Josi: Scores game-winning goal

Josi recorded an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.

Josi came through when the Predators needed him the most, as the star blueliner scored the decisive goal with 1:14 left in the game. It was his 10th goal of the season, and his assist on Filip Forsberg's power-play tally was Josi's 23rd helper. Josi's 33 points rank fifth on the team and lead Nashville's defensemen.

  • Zac Jones D | BUF

Sabres' Zac Jones: Returned to AHL

Jones has been reassigned to AHL Rochester by the Sabres, according to the AHL transaction log.

After playing in 46 games with the Rangers last season, Jones hasn't appeared in a game yet this season with the Sabres despite multiple stints at the NHL level. The 25-year-old has had a great season with AHL Rochester, registering 37 points (six goals, 31 assists) in 32 games.
