  • Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Snags helper in win

Ferraro recorded an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

Ferraro's helper on a Collin Graf empty-netter was the former's first point in 12 outings in December. The 27-year-old Ferraro continues to see top-four minutes as a shutdown presence on the Sharks' blue line. He's now at eight points, 42 shots on net, 71 hits, 78 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 38 appearances.

  • Sharks' John Klingberg: Tallies in Saturday's win

Klingberg scored a goal and blocked two shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

Klingberg went into the holiday break on a three-game skid, but he ended it with a goal in the first period of the first contest after the pause. The 33-year-old defenseman has turned back the clock this year while seeing top-four minutes. His nine goals are his most in any campaign since 2022-23, and he's at 16 points with 44 shots on net, 38 blocked shots, 22 hits and a minus-1 rating through 29 appearances. Fantasy managers should ride the hot stretch as long as Klingberg can remain productive.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: One of each Saturday

Bouchard scored a power-play goal on four shots, added an assist and blocked three shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Flames.

Bouchard logged his third multi-point effort in the last six games, a span in which he has two goals and five assists. The 26-year-old was in on both of the Oilers' goals and continues to be a key part of the offense from the blue line. For the season, the defenseman is up to seven goals, 30 helpers, 13 power-play points, 98 shots on net, 55 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 39 appearances.

  • Kevin Bahl D | CGY

Flames' Kevin Bahl: Picks up helper

Bahl notched an assist, four hits, three blocked shots and two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Oilers.

Bahl ended a 13-game point drought when he helped out on Blake Coleman's third-period tally. The 25-year-old Bahl is up to seven points, 31 shots on net, 45 hits, 42 blocks, 29 PIM and a plus-10 rating through 37 outings. He continues to be a sturdy defensive presence in the Flames' top four, but he's not going to be a fantasy factor in most formats until his offense increases.

  • Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Gets stitches after puck to face

Lundkvist required stitches after taking a puck to the face late in the third period of Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Blackhawks, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports.

Lundkvist scored a goal in the contest, but he wasn't able to finish the game. Nestler reported that Lundkvist seemed fine despite missing his media availability after the game, so he can be considered on the probable side of day-to-day for Wednesday's contest versus the Sabres. He's up to four points in 12 outings this season.

  • Canadiens' Bryce Pickford: Already at career high in points

Pickford scored a goal and added three assists in WHL Medicine Hat's 5-1 win over Lethbridge on Saturday.

Pickford signed his entry-level deal earlier in the week, and he continues to roll now that he's under contract with the Canadiens. He's picked up 13 goals and seven assists over his last seven outings. For the season, he has 26 goals and 22 helpers through 32 appearances. Now that he's under contract, it's possible he sees some time with the Canadiens near the end of the regular season if the Tigers' WHL playoff run is short.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Five points in last four games

Gostisbehere put up a goal and added two assists in a 5-2 win over Detroit on Saturday.

His goal stood as the winner. Gostisbehere pushed it to 3-1 at 15:22 of the second period after he took a pass at the top of the left circle before ripping a wrist shot under the crossbar. Gostisbehere has five points (one goal, four assists) in his last four games, and he continues to roll along at a career pace. He has 29 points (four goals, 25 assists) and 48 shots in 28 games.

  • Sharks' Timothy Liljegren: Not suiting up

Liljegren (upper body) won't play versus the Canucks on Saturday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Liljegren will miss his third straight contest after sustaining an injury during a morning skate Dec. 20. The 26-year-old defenseman's status hasn't been updated yet, so it's safe to assume he remains in the day-to-day category. His next chance to play is Monday versus the Ducks.

  • Canadiens' William Trudeau: Two points in AHL win

Trudeau scored a goal and added an assist in AHL Laval's 4-3 shootout win over Syracuse on Saturday.

Trudeau picked up his second multi-point effort of the season. He's done a decent job this year with four goals and seven assists after having his season debut delayed by an undisclosed injury. He's still within range of challenging his career-best 27-point output from 2022-23.

  • Tyler Kleven D | OTT

Senators' Tyler Kleven: Sidelined again Saturday

Kleven (lower body) is not in the lineup Saturday versus the Maple Leafs, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Kleven apparently did not fully recover from the injury over the holiday break. The 23-year-old defenseman is set for a third straight absence, and it's not yet clear when he'll be ready to return. The Senators' next game is Monday at home versus the Blue Jackets.
