  • Sabres' Mattias Samuelsson: Scores winning goal Saturday

Samuelsson scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Red Wings.

Samuelsson played the hero role for the Sabres in this contest and scored the game-winning goal at the 1:05 mark in overtime with a snap shot. This goal not only allowed the Sabres to win a road game for the first time this season, but it also snapped Samuelsson's seven-game point drought and nine-game goalless skid. The 25-year-old defenseman has three goals and seven points this season.

  • Scott Morrow D | NYR

Rangers' Scott Morrow: Summoned from AHL

Morrow was recalled from AHL Hartford on Sunday.

The Rangers returned Gabe Perreault to the minors in a corresponding move. Morrow has one goal and one assist in 11 minor-league appearances this season. He will be an option for Sunday's game against Detroit after Will Borgen (upper body) was a late scratch for Saturday's 2-1 shootout win over Columbus. If Morrow makes his NHL season debut versus the Red Wings, Matthew Robertson could be a healthy scratch.

  • Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Chips in with helper

Werenski had a power-play assist, five shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Rangers.

Werenski picked up the primary helper on Dmitri Voronkov's power-play goal in the second period to help level the score at 1-1. Overall, the 28-year-old Werenski has nine assists, 13 points and 66 shots on goal through 18 games this season. After a three-game dry spell, the Blue Jackets' top blueliner has three points in his last four games. With 66 shots on goal, Werenski leads all defensemen across the league and ranks 10th among all skaters. After a career-best 82-point regular season last year, Werenski is back on track to be one of the top defensemen in fantasy hockey this season.

  • Adam Fox D | NYR

Rangers' Adam Fox: Helps out on power play

Fox registered a power-play assist and placed four shots on net in Saturday's 2-1 shootout win over the Blue Jackets.

Fox chipped in with a secondary assist on a second-period power play for New York's lone goal of regulation. With the Rangers currently winners of their past three games, Fox has benefited with five assists in that stretch. Overall, the 27-year-old blueliner has 13 assists, 16 points and 40 shots on goal in 19 games this season. He is just one point behind Artemi Panarin for the team lead, with Fox's points more evenly spread throughout the first quarter of the season. He is tied for fourth among all NHL defensemen in points, and his ability to help spark the offense throughout the highs and lows makes him an elite fantasy option in all formats.

  • Islanders' Scott Mayfield: Back on active roster

Mayfield (personal) was activated from non-roster player status Sunday, per the NHL media site.

Mayfield should return to the lineup against Colorado on Sunday after missing the last two games due to the birth of his first child. The Islanders cleared a roster spot for him by returning Travis Mitchell to AHL Bridgeport on Saturday. Mayfield has collected three assists, 15 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and 11 hits across 16 appearances this season.

  • Wild's Jake Middleton: Nabs helper in return

Middleton picked up an assist with a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Ducks.

The veteran blueliner missed the prior two games due to an illness, but Middleton slotted back in on the second pairing Saturday alongside Jared Spurgeon and fed Matt Boldy for an empty-netter late in the third period. Middleton has just two points, both assists, in 17 games this season, but he's also contributed 29 blocked shots, 26 hits, 26 PIM, 14 shots on net and a minus-1 rating.

  • Jake Bean D | CGY

Flames' Jake Bean: Puts away first goal

Bean scored a goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Jets.

The goal was Bean's first of the season. The 27-year-old blueliner is working on reclaiming steady time on the third pairing after a five-game stretch as a healthy scratch earlier in November. Bean has two points, 15 shots on net, 22 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 12 appearances this season. He is unlikely to produce enough offense to interest fantasy managers.

  • Kevin Bahl D | CGY

Flames' Kevin Bahl: Nets goal on deflected shot

Bahl scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Jets.

The goal snapped an eight-game point drought for Bahl, a span in which he also missed one contest due to an undisclosed injury. The 25-year-old has maintained his usual top-four spot in the Flames' lineup and is providing fairly steady defensive work. He's at two goals, four points, 16 shots on net, 15 hits, 29 blocked shots, 14 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 19 appearances this season.

  • Luke Schenn D | BUF

Jets' Luke Schenn: Bags apple in shootout win

Schenn notched an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Flames.

Schenn has been in the lineup more often than not this year, but he's not a full-time option on the Jets' blue line. He may get more consistent minutes while Haydn Fleury (concussion) is on injured reserve. Schenn's helper Saturday was his first point this season to go with 11 shots on net, 12 PIM, 29 hits and 18 blocked shots over 14 appearances. The 36-year-old will offer far more in physicality than he will in offense.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Registers two assists

Morrissey logged two assists, including one on the power play, and blocked three shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Flames.

Morrissey has two goals and six helpers during his five-game point streak. He's also earned at least one power-play point in three straight contests. For the season, the defenseman is up to three goals, 16 helpers, six power-play points, 32 shots on net, 36 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 18 appearances. Morrissey is among the top tier of fantasy blueliners, and it doesn't look like he'll be losing that status this year.
