  • Hurricanes' Gavin Bayreuther: Reassigned to AHL

Bayreuther was loaned to AHL Chicago on Saturday.

In a corresponding move, the Hurricanes brought up forward Bradly Nadeau from the minors. Bayreuther has been a healthy scratch in Carolina's last four games. He has notched three goals and three assists in nine AHL outings this campaign.

  • Troy Stecher D | TOR

Maple Leafs' Troy Stecher: Claimed off waivers

Stecher was claimed off waivers by Toronto from Edmonton on Saturday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Stecher had no points, eight PIM, three shots, two hits and three blocks in six outings with Edmonton this season before being put on waivers. Stecher might see time on the third pairing in Toronto, but it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up being a frequent healthy scratch.

  • Islanders' Travis Mitchell: Loaned to AHL affiliate

Mitchell was reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on Saturday.

Mitchell was a healthy scratch in two games after being summoned from the minors. The defenseman has yet to make his NHL debut. He had three assists in 12 AHL games before his recall. Scott Mayfield (personal) could return against Colorado on Sunday after the birth of his first child, and Mitchel's demotion opens a roster spot.

  • David Spacek D | MIN

Wild's David Spacek: Back in AHL

Spacek was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Saturday.

Spacek was a healthy scratch Tuesday versus San Jose. The 22-year-old had six assists in 12 AHL games before his recall. The Wild recalled Liam Ohgren and Tyler Pitlick in a corresponding move. In addition, Marco Rossi (lower body) was put on injured reserve Friday.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Game-time call

Harley (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision against Philadelphia on Saturday, Owen Newkirk of DLLS Sports reports.

Harley was also a game-time call for Thursday's 7-0 win over Montreal before being in the lineup. He didn't participate in Saturday's morning skate, but Kyle Capobianco appeared to be a placeholder during the session. Harley has compiled one goal, nine assists, 21 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and nine hits across 18 appearances this season.

  • Will Borgen D | NYR

Rangers' Will Borgen: Expected to play Saturday

Borgen (upper body) is slated to return to the lineup in Columbus on Saturday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

After sitting out Friday's practice, Borgen will not miss a game because of the injury. He has one goal and two assists in 18 games this season. Borgen will team up with Urho Vaakanainen on the third pairing against the Blue Jackets.

  • Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Back on active roster

Dahlin (personal) was activated from non-roster player status Saturday, per the NHL media site.

The Sabres returned Zac Jones to AHL Rochester in a corresponding move. Dahlin is poised to return to the lineup against Detroit on Saturday after missing the last three games. He has accounted for one goal, eight assists, 38 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and 12 hits through 14 appearances this season. Dahlin will occupy a top-pairing role and see time on the first power-play unit against the Red Wings.

  • Wild's Jake Middleton: Doubtful Saturday

Middleton (illness) is not expected to play in Saturday's home game versus Anaheim, per Michael Russo of The Athletic.

Middleton has missed the Wild's previous two games due to the injury. Look for David Jiricek to remain in the lineup. Middleton is without a point in 12 games this season.

  • Zac Jones D | BUF

Sabres' Zac Jones: Dropped to AHL

Jones was loaned to AHL Rochester on Saturday.

Jones hasn't logged any NHL playing time yet this season. He has registered 13 assists in 11 AHL appearances this campaign. It's unclear if Jones' demotion to the minors bodes well for the availability of Rasmus Dahlin (personal) or if a different defender will join the Sabres from the AHL ahead of Saturday's game against Detroit.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Capitals' John Carlson: Game-time decision Saturday

Carlson (upper body) missed morning skate and will be a game-time decision Saturday versus New Jersey, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.

Carlson is on a five-game scoring streak with two goals and five assists. He has four tallies and 14 points in 17 games this season. If Carlson is unable to play, look for Trevor van Riemsdyk to enter the lineup.
