Jacob Middleton D | MIN
Wild's Jake Middleton: Late scratch
Middleton is not suiting up for Sunday's home matchup versus Calgary due to an illness.
Middleton will miss his first game of the season Sunday. David Jiricek, who was a healthy scratch for the team's last two games, will take Middleton's place in the lineup against the Flames. The 29-year-old Middleton's next chance to play will be Tuesday against San Jose.

Kevin Bahl D | CGY
Flames' Kevin Bahl: Suiting up in Minnesota
Bahl (undisclosed) was on the ice for pregame warmups, indicating he'll return to the lineup for Sunday's road contest against the Wild, per Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.
Bahl missed his first game of the season Friday versus the Blackhawks. The left-shot defenseman is set to skate next to Rasmus Andersson in a top-four capacity Sunday. Bahl has accounted for one goal, three points, 23 blocked shots, 14 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 15 appearances in 2025-26.

Artyom Gonchar D | NYR
Rangers' Artyom Gonchar: One of each for Sudbury
Gonchar scored a goal and added an assist in OHL Sudbury's 5-4 loss to Peterborough on Sunday.
This was Gonchar's first multi-point effort of the season for the Wolves. The Russian defenseman's offense still looks like a work in progress in his first year in the OHL. He's also a bit undersized for a blueliner. A third-round pick of the Rangers in 2025, Gonchar will need a long developmental runway before potentially being an NHL candidate.

Radko Gudas D | ANA
Ducks' Radko Gudas: Hits injured reserve
Gudas (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, according to the NHL Media Site.
Gudas has missed the last seven games for the Ducks with a lower-body injury, but he has just recently been placed on IR. The 35-year-old can come off at any time, but his return doesn't feel imminent. In the seven games he has appeared in, Gudas has two assists and a minus-5 rating while averaging 15:35 of ice time per game.

Owen Power D | BUF
Sabres' Owen Power: Pots goal in loss
Power scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
Power's tally tied the game at 1-1 in the first period, but the Hurricanes were able to pull away in the second. The 22-year-old Power figures to play a larger role in the short term while Rasmus Dahlin (personal) is away from the team. For the season, Power has two goals, six points, 20 shots on net, 13 blocked shots, eight hits and a minus-5 rating over 14 outings.

Joel Nystrom D | CAR
Hurricanes' Joel Nystrom: Pockets first helper
Nystrom logged an assist and four shots on goal in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Sabres.
The helper was Nystrom's first in eight games to begin his NHL career. He's added 14 shots on net, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating. The seventh-round pick from 2021 has looked decent in a bottom-four role so far. He'll compete with Charles-Alexis Legault to stick around on the roster while the Hurricanes wait for some injured blueliners to get healthy.

Charles-Alexis Legault D | CAR
Hurricanes' Charles-Alexis Legault: Earns first two points Saturday
Legault scored an empty-net goal on two shots, dished an assist, added two PIM, logged two hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Sabres.
Legault helped out on an Eric Robinson tally in the third period before adding the second empty-netter himself to check off multiple firsts in his NHL career. The 22-year-old Legault has played a larger role than expected in 2025-26 due to numerous injuries on the Hurricanes' blue line. In addition to his two points, he's collected 10 shots, eight hits, six blocks, eight PIM and a plus-4 rating over seven appearances. He'll likely stay with the big club until at least one of Jaccob Slavin (lower body), Shayne Gostisbehere (abdomen) or Jalen Chatfield (upper body) can return.

Vincent Iorio D | NYR
Sharks' Vincent Iorio: Sent to AHL for conditioning
Iorio was assigned to AHL San Jose on Sunday for a conditioning loan.
Iorio has been a healthy scratch for the last seven games. Since being claimed off waivers from Washington on Oct. 16, he hasn't earned a point in six appearances with the Sharks, but he has registered three shots on net, six blocked shots and three hits.

Hunter Skinner D | STL
Blues' Hunter Skinner: Recalled from AHL
Skinner was brought up from AHL Springfield on Sunday.
The Blues assigned Logan Mailloux to the minors in a corresponding move. Skinner has notched one goal and one assist in 11 AHL outings this season. The 24-year-old defenseman might get a chance to make his NHL debut during his stint with the big club.

Logan Mailloux D | STL
Blues' Logan Mailloux: Sent to minors
Mailloux was assigned to AHL Springfield on Sunday.
The Blues summoned Hunter Skinner from the minors in a corresponding move. Mailloux hasn't earned a point in nine appearances this season while posting five shots on net, six blocked shots and 13 hits. He has been a healthy scratch in four of the last five games and should see regular playing time in the AHL before a potential recall to the big club.
