  • Matt Roy D | WAS

Capitals' Matt Roy: At practice Friday

Roy (personal) was back at practice ahead of Friday's clash with the Blackhawks, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.

Roy's return to the team following a two-game stint away should see him reclaim a spot on the blue line versus Chicago -- a move that likely means Dylan McIlrath will be back in the press box as a healthy scratch. In his last five outings, the 20-year-old Roy has generated one goal, two assists and nine shots while dishing out six hits and recording six blocks.

  • Devon Toews D | COL

Avalanche's Devon Toews: Pops for three points again

Toews scored a goal and added two assists in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Blue Jackets.

After helping to set up Colorado's first two tallies of the night in the first period, Toews potted his own early in the third. It's the second three-point performance in the last six games for the veteran defenseman, who continues to benefit from his partnership with Cale Makar. Over the last 15 contests, Toews has racked up two goals and 13 points.

  • Cale Makar D | COL

Avalanche's Cale Makar: Joins exclusive club Thursday

Makar scored a power-play goal and added two even-strength assists in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Blue Jackets.

With his tally in the final minute of the second period, Makar became the ninth defenseman in NHL history with 30 or more goals in a season -- a list that includes Hall of Famers Paul Coffey, Bobby Orr, Denis Potvin and Ray Bourque. Makar is surging to wrap up the regular season, racking up six goals and 15 points in the last 10 games, and his next point will give him 91 on the campaign to establish a new career high.

  • Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Supplies two helpers in loss

Ferraro logged two assists, two shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers.

Ferraro is picking up the slack for the Sharks defense, which is missing multiple regulars due to injuries. The 26-year-old has five helpers over his last five contests for one of his best stretches of the season. He's up to 17 points, 72 shots on net, 144 hits, 120 blocked shots, 53 PIM and a minus-26 rating across 75 appearances this season.

  • Sharks' Jack Thompson: Nets lone goal in loss

Thompson scored a goal on three shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers.

Thompson has a goal and an assist over two appearances during his current stint in the NHL. The 23-year-old has a chance to stick around if Shakir Mukhamadullin (upper body) or Vincent Desharnais (upper body) miss the rest of the season. Thompson has produced four goals, eight points, 38 shots on net, 39 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 26 appearances, making this officially his rookie year.

  • Jake Walman D | EDM

Oilers' Jake Walman: Earns assist against former team

Walman supplied an assist and added two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.

Walman made his first return to San Jose since the Sharks dealt him to the Oilers ahead of the trade deadline. He was able to get on the scoresheet and is up to seven points through 13 appearances with his new team. Overall, the defenseman has 39 points (eight on the power play), 155 shots on net, 142 blocked shots, 57 hits, 42 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 63 outings this season.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Another two-assist game

Bouchard logged two assists, including one on the power play, in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.

Bouchard has three multi-assist games over his last five outings. He's earned eight assists from his last six contests as he continues to thrive in a top-pairing role and on the first power-play unit. The defenseman is up to 62 points (25 on the power play), 211 shots on net, 103 blocked shots, 28 PIM and a plus-15 rating through 75 appearances. Injuries have hindered the Oilers lately, but Bouchard has yet to miss a game this season.

  • Luke Schenn D | BUF

Jets' Luke Schenn: Lends helper in win

Schenn notched an assist, three hits and three blocked shots in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

Schenn was back in the lineup after a one-game absence due to an undisclosed injury. Considering how he was playing physical Thursday, he seems to be no worse for wear. The 35-year-old is up to seven points, 70 shots on net, 280 hits, 98 blocked shots, 45 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 71 appearances between the Jets and the Predators this season. As long as he stays healthy, he looks poised to continue playing a second-pairing role for the Jets until Neal Pionk (lower body) can return.

  • Jets' Logan Stanley: Garners helper in win

Stanley logged an assist in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

Stanley has three helpers over six games since he returned from a five-game stint as a healthy scratch. The 26-year-old remains mostly confined to the third pairing, so there's not a lot of fantasy upside to be had. He's produced 13 points in 57 contests this season, matching his career-high output from a 58-game sample in 2021-22. Stanley also has 44 shots on net, 78 PIM, 78 hits, 69 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating this season.

  • Colin Miller D | WPG

Jets' Colin Miller: Strikes on power play in win

Miller scored a power-play goal, added two PIM and doled out three hits in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

Miller has picked up time on the second power-play unit while Neal Pionk (lower body) recovers from his injury. This was Miller's first power-play point of the season, though he's collected a total of three points across his last six contests while filling a larger role. He's still seeing bottom-four minutes most of the time, so he's not a strong fantasy option. The defenseman has four goals, 10 assists, 63 shots on net, 84 hits, 47 blocked shots, 38 PIM and a plus-13 rating over 58 outings.
