    Penguins' Kris Letang: Practices Tuesday

Letang (foot) participated in Tuesday's practice and feels close to being ready to play, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.

Following a four-game absence due to a fracture in his foot, Letang appears to be trending toward a return to the lineup against New Jersey on Feb. 26. However, he remains on injured reserve for now. Letang has registered three goals, 25 points, 81 shots on net, 64 blocked shots and 67 hits through 50 appearances this season.

  • Neal Pionk D | WPG

Jets' Neal Pionk: Could return during road trip

Per head coach Scott Arniel, Pionk (lower body) has a chance to return during Winnipeg's upcoming three-game road trip, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports Tuesday.

Winnipeg's road trip will begin in Vancouver on Feb. 25. Pionk missed 12 of the Jets' last 14 games prior to the Olympic break due to a lower-body injury. After a 39-point campaign across 69 regular-season games a year ago, the 30-year-old blueliner has struggled offensively this season with six assists, eight points, 76 shots on net, 84 hits and 64 blocked shots across 40 appearances. If he can return to Winnipeg's lineup during the three-game road trip, he'll likely step into a top-four defensive pairing and should remain a solid source of category-coverage stats.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Capitals' John Carlson: Set for return after Olympics

Carlson (lower body) is expected to return to the lineup following the Olympic break, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports Tuesday.

After leaving the Capitals' matchup Feb. 5 due to a lower-body injury, Carlson was spotted skating in a regular jersey during Tuesday's morning skate. Prior to the Olympics, the 36-year-old blueliner posted 10 goals, 46 points, 115 shots on net and 84 blocked shots across 55 games this season. With head coach Spencer Carbery indicating that Carlson should be good to go, the veteran defenseman will likely return to his usual role on the team's top defensive pairing at even strength following the Olympic break.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Ready for return following Olympics

Rielly (upper body) was deemed "good to go" by head coach Craig Berube, Anna Dua reports Tuesday.

Rielly exited Toronto's contest Jan. 31 early due to an upper-body injury, which would keep him sidelined for the team's last two games prior to the Olympic break. The 31-year-old blueliner has 24 assists, 31 points, 106 shots on net and 74 blocked shots across 54 games this season. Once NHL action is back in full swing, Rielly will likely return to his usual role on the team's top defensive pairing and first power-play unit.

  • Wyatt Kaiser D | CHI

Blackhawks' Wyatt Kaiser: Won't be ready following break

Kaiser (lower body) won't play against Nashville on Feb. 26, per Tracey Myers of NHL.com on Tuesday.

Kaiser will need additional time following the Olympic break to recover after being injured in a 4-0 loss to Columbus on Feb. 4. He has earned five goals, 12 points, 58 shots on net, 47 blocked shots and 36 hits across 57 appearances this season.

  • Mammoth's Maveric Lamoureux: Called up to majors

Lamoureux was recalled from AHL Tucson on Tuesday.

After spending over two months in the AHL, Lamoureaux will rejoin the Mammoth for his second stint in the NHL this season. Across 40 games with Tucson this season, the 22-year-old blueliner has 11 assists, 14 points and 61 shots on goal. The young defenseman will likely have to impress Utah's coaching staff before NHL action resumes if he is to secure a spot on the roster following the Olympic break.

  • Mammoth's Dmitri Simashev: Recalled from minors

Simashev was brought up from AHL Tucson on Tuesday.

Simashev has generated seven goals and 23 points in 25 AHL outings during the 2025-26 campaign. He has picked up one assist, 23 shots on goal, 26 blocked shots and eight hits in 24 NHL appearances this season.

  • Avalanche's Jacob MacDonald: Surfaces on waivers

MacDonald (hip) was placed on waivers Tuesday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

MacDonald appears ready to return to action after undergoing hip surgery in early September. Assuming he clears waivers, he will be activated from the injured non-roster list and could head to the minors. MacDonald had 31 goals and 55 points in 63 appearances with AHL Colorado during the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Devils' Colton White: Recalled from minors

White was summoned from AHL Utica on Tuesday, Kristy Flannery of The Hockey News reports.

White has contributed four assists, 14 shots on goal, 16 blocked shots and 23 hits across 23 NHL appearances this season. He hasn't earned a point in 10 AHL games during the 2025-26 campaign.
