  • Sharks' Shakir Mukhamadullin: Rejoins NHL club

Mukhamadullin was recalled by the Sharks on Friday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Mukhamadullin was assigned to the minor-league club earlier Friday as a paper move to make him eligible for the AHL playoffs, but he'll rejoin the Sharks ahead of Saturday's home game against the Islanders. The 23-year-old has made 20 appearances for the Sharks this year, logging a goal, five assists, 26 blocked shots and 17 hits while averaging 16:18 of ice time.

  • Ian Mitchell D | DET

Bruins' Ian Mitchell: Sent to Providence

Mitchell was sent to AHL Providence on Friday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.

Mitchell has made three appearances for Boston this season -- all of which have come in March -- and he's been held pointless with three blocked shots, a hit and a minus-2 rating while averaging 13:35 of ice time, including 1:03 on the power play. Friday's move will make him eligible to participate in the AHL playoffs, but it's possible that he rejoins Boston in the near future.

  • Cam Dineen D | EDM

Oilers' Cam Dineen: Shipped back to minors

Dineen was returned to AHL Bakersfield on Friday.

Dineen has played in just one game for the Oilers this year in which he logged 14:56 of ice time while chipping in four shots, one block and a minus-1 rating. With the team bringing in Jake Walman at the deadline, Dineen will be hard-pressed to get into the lineup the rest of the season -- especially once Mattias Ekholm (undisclosed) and John Klingberg (undisclosed) are cleared to return.

  • Devils' Dennis Cholowski: Set to join New Jersey

Cholowski was traded to the Devils from the Islanders on Friday in exchange for Adam Beckman.

Cholowski has made 33 appearances for the Islanders this season, logging three goals, seven assists, 30 blocked shots and 10 PIM while averaging 12:48 of ice time. However, he's been in the AHL since Feb. 20 and could remain in the minors following Friday's trade.

  • Sharks' Shakir Mukhamadullin: Heads to minors

Mukhamadullin was reassigned to AHL San Jose on Friday, per Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News.

This move keeps Mukhamadullin eligible to play in the AHL for the rest of the season. It wouldn't be surprising to see the 23-year-old recalled to the NHL before Saturday's game against the Islanders. Mukhamadullin has a goal, six points, 17 hits and 26 blocks in 20 appearances with the Sharks in 2024-25.

  • Rangers' Chad Ruhwedel: Sent to AHL

Ruhwedel was sent to AHL Hartford on Friday.

This might just be a paper transaction to keep him eligible for AHL service for the remainder of the season. Ruhwedel has an assist in five appearances with New York as well as three goals and 12 points in 36 outings with Hartford in 2024-25.

  • Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Unlikely to play Saturday

Head coach Craig Berube said Friday that Tanev (upper body) is "doubtful" for Saturday's game against the Avalanche, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

Tanev has missed the last three games due to his upper-body injury, and there was initially hope that he'd be able to return to the lineup Saturday. However, he'll likely require at least one more game on the shelf, while his next opportunity to return will be Monday against Utah.

  • Erik Johnson D | COL

Avalanche's Erik Johnson: Returning to Colorado

Johnson was acquired by Colorado from Philadelphia on Friday in exchange for Givani Smith, per RDS.ca.

Johnson has a goal, three points, 11 PIM, 40 hits and 14 blocks in 22 outings with the Flyers this season. He probably will spend most of his time with Colorado as a healthy scratch unless the Avalanche need help due to injuries. Still, the 36-year-old should be a positive presence in the locker room, especially because he has a long history with the franchise. Johnson logged 717 regular-season games with the Avalanche before parting ways as an unrestricted free agent in 2023.

  • Sabres' Erik Brannstrom: Traded again Friday

Brannstrom was flipped to the Sabres from the Rangers for Nicolas Aube-Kubel on Friday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.

Brannstrom was previously acquired by New York as part of the J.T. Miller deal but never appeared in an NHL game for the Rangers. His stint with AHL Hartford was decent, recording four points in six minor-league games for the Wolf Pack. Given the depth on the blue line in Buffalo, even with the departure of Henri Jokiharju, Brannstrom will likely stay in the minors for the time being.

  • Lian Bichsel D | DAL

Stars' Lian Bichsel: Recalled by Dallas

Bichsel was recalled from AHL Texas on Friday.

Bichsel was sent down by the Stars in a paper move earlier Friday, and he'll officially rejoin the NHL club after spending less than a day in the minors. Over 20 appearances with Dallas this year, he's racked up two goals, three assists, 83 hits and 12 blocked shots while averaging 14:54 of ice time.
