  • Canucks' Marcus Pettersson: Contributes helper in loss

Pettersson provided an assist and blocked two shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Kraken.

Pettersson had not earned a point in his first eight games with the Canucks. The 28-year-old blueliner changed that by helping out on a goal by fellow trade acquisition Filip Chytil in the first period. Pettersson's offered decent offense from the blue line in past seasons, but his primary role is to shut down the opponent's top forwards. He's at 19 points, 51 shots on net, 97 blocked shots, 63 hits and a minus-1 rating through 56 appearances between the Canucks and the Penguins this season.

  • Tyler Myers D | DAL

Canucks' Tyler Myers: Draws helper in loss

Myers notched an assist, four shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Kraken.

Myers has three points over his last two games and eight points across his last 12 outings. The 35-year-old also logged multiple hits in a game for the time since Jan. 14 versus the Jets. The blueliner has 21 points, 66 shots on net, 66 PIM, 63 hits, 103 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 57 appearances this season. Myers doesn't stand out in any statistical area, but he's doing enough across the board lately to help support a fantasy team's non-scoring production.

  • Ryker Evans D | SEA

Kraken's Ryker Evans: Delivers helper in win

Evans logged an assist, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

Evans earned his first point in four games since he missed five contests due to an upper-body injury. The defenseman set up the first of Eeli Tolvanen's two goals in the game. Evans continues to play on the third pairing at even strength, and with both Vince Dunn and Brandon Montour healthy, Evans is not seeing power-play time. For the season, the 23-year-old Evans is at 22 points, 48 shots on net, 91 hits, 79 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 54 appearances. He's 10 games played away from 100 in his career and has emerged as a decent scorer from the blueliner who can also chip in some physical play.

  • Vince Dunn D | SEA

Kraken's Vince Dunn: Dishes pair of helpers

Dunn notched two assists and two blocked shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

Dunn earned his first multi-point effort since Jan. 2 by helping out on goals from Matty Beniers and Eeli Tolvanen. Over his last nine games, Dunn has a goal and five assists. The 28-year-old defenseman is firmly in a top-pairing role and now has 28 points (eight on the power play), 94 shots on net, 46 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating across 41 appearances this season.

  • Kraken's Brandon Montour: Goal, assist in win

Montour scored a goal on three shots and dealt an assist in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

Montour set up an Oliver Bjorkstrand goal in the second period before scoring in the third. Over his previous seven games, Montour contributed only one assist. The 30-year-old defenseman was consistent up to the holiday break, but his offense has come in smaller bursts. For the season, he's at 11 goals, 19 helpers, 171 shots on net, 74 blocked shots, 64 hits and a minus-11 rating through 60 outings. He is trending toward his second 40-point-plus campaign.

  • Aaron Ekblad D | FLA

Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Three-game, four-assist streak

Ekblad delivered an assist and four PIM in Saturday's 3-0 win over Calgary.

Ekblad is riding a three-game, four-assist scoring streak. He has 30 points, 27 helpers and 104 shots in 53 games this season. That puts him on pace to top the 40-point mark for the third time in his career. However, Ekblad's role on the top power-play unit could be at risk due to the arrival of Seth Jones in a trade with Chicago on Saturday.

  • Quinn Hughes D | MIN

Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Injury concerns re-emerge

Hughes "tweaked something" late in Saturday's game versus the Kraken and is set to be evaluated Sunday, per head coach Rick Tocchet.

Hughes didn't play in the last part of the third period. He played 21:56 in Saturday's matchup, but his game was not in peak form, as he went minus-3 and didn't earn a point in the loss. Considering Hughes was just in his third game back after missing six due to an oblique injury, there are plenty of reasons for concern around the Canucks' captain. The good news is he has three days to rest the injury before the team begin a four-game homestand with Wednesday's contest versus the Ducks.

  • Sharks' Timothy Liljegren: Power-play marker in loss

Liljegren scored a power-play goal in a 5-3 loss to the Senators on Saturday.

He wired a one-timer from the post that beat Linus Ullmark. Liljegren has five goals, five assists and 71 shots in 47 games this season. Two of his goals have come on the power play. Liljegren's fantasy value is limited. He wouldn't be a top-pairing, PP2 defender in any other city, and when the team improves, he'll eventually drop down the lineup.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Sets career high in goals

Sergachev scored a goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Devils.

Sergachev's tally tied the game at 1-1 just past the midway mark of the second period. It was a career-best 11th goal of 2024-25 for the 26-year-old, who has flourished as Utah's top blueliner in his first year with the club. He's up to 39 points, 96 shots on net, 108 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating over 56 appearances this season. He's been particularly productive lately, recording two goals and six assists over his last nine contests.

  • Devils' Johnny Kovacevic: Ends drought with helper

Kovacevic notched an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Saturday's 3-1 win over Utah.

The helper snapped a 13-game slump for Kovacevic, who posted a minus-3 rating, 21 hits, and 17 blocked shots in that span. The 27-year-old blueliner has been a moderately effective shutdown defender in 2024-25. He has recorded 14 points, including a career-high 13 assists, while adding 58 shots on net, 79 blocked shots, 82 hits and a plus-12 rating across 61 appearances. He needs just two points to set a new personal best.
