  • Kings' Drew Doughty: Ditches non-contact sweater

Doughty (ankle) was working in a regular sweater Wednesday and will travel with the Kings for their upcoming five-game road trip, Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period reports.

Doughty looks close to making his 2024-25 season debut, though the team hasn't provided a specific day he will be back in action. Still, it seems likely the veteran blueliner will suit up at some point during the upcoming trip since he is traveling with the team. Once back in the lineup, Doughty should reclaim a spot on the power play in addition to being a top-four option.

  • Cody Ceci D | LA

Sharks' Cody Ceci: Dishes pair of helpers

Ceci provided two assists and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Predators.

This performance ended a five-game slump for Ceci. He set up the Sharks' first two goals, scored by Macklin Celebrini and Luke Kunin. The 31-year-old Ceci is up to 14 points, 54 shots on net, 49 hits, 92 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 50 outings in a top-four role. He won't add much offense, but he can be a one-category specialist in blocks.

  • Jake Walman D | EDM

Sharks' Jake Walman: Scores in Tuesday's loss

Walman scored a goal on three shots, blocked four shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Predators.

Walman has two points and a plus-1 rating over six contests since he returned from a lower-body injury. His scoring pace has slowed a bit, but he remains in a top-pairing role with power-play time, so he should be fine in the long run. Overall, the 28-year-old defenseman has six goals, 21 assists, 96 shots on net, 62 blocked shots, 32 hits, 24 PIM and a plus-5 rating in 37 appearances.

  • Adam Wilsby D | NSH

Predators' Adam Wilsby: Pockets assist Tuesday

Wilsby notched an assist, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks.

Wilsby has played on the third pairing over the last two games since he returned from missing seven contests due to an upper-body injury. The 24-year-old had established himself in the lineup prior to the injury and shouldn't have too much trouble keeping his place as long as he's healthy. He's at four points, 23 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, 13 hits and a plus-7 rating across 17 appearances.

  • Predators' Justin Barron: Pots goal Tuesday

Barron scored a goal on five shots, added two hits and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks.

Barron brought the Predators within two goals in the second period, but his defensive mistakes were responsible for a couple of the Sharks' tallies. The 23-year-old Barron has scored twice over his last four contests and continues to see steady ice time, but he hasn't played very well in his own zone. Between Nashville and Montreal this season, the blueliner has three goals, 33 shots on net, 31 hits, 37 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 28 games.

  • Predators' Nick Blankenburg: Nets game-winner Tuesday

Blankenburg scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks.

Blankenburg's third-period tally was the game-winner, which gave the Predators a lead in a game they once trailed 5-1. The defenseman has played fairly well with six points and a plus-8 rating over his last 13 appearances. For the season, that's all of his offense through 24 outings, and he's added 39 shots on net, 27 hits, 24 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating.

  • Canadiens' Alexandre Carrier: Posts helper in win

Carrier logged an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Lightning.

Carrier continues to steady things both on defense and offense. He has four assists and a plus-7 rating over his last five outings while seeing top-four minutes. Carrier has 16 points over 44 appearances this season, including nine helpers over just 16 contests with the Canadiens since he was flipped for Justin Barron in a trade with the Predators. Carrier has also logged 44 shots on net, 46 hits and 76 blocked shots in 2024-25.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Being evaluated for injury

Broberg is being evaluated by the Blues' medical team after leaving Wednesday's practice session early, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Broberg is currently stuck in a 10-game goal drought during which he registered two assists, 17 shots and eight blocks while averaging 19:36 of ice time. Despite his recent slump, the 23-year-old blueliner has already set new personal bests in goals (three), assists (12) and shots (47). If Broberg does miss any time, Scott Perunovich figures to step into the lineup.

  • Adam Fox D | NYR

Rangers' Adam Fox: Two more helpers in win

Fox registered two assists, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Senators.

This was Fox's second two-helper game in a row, and one of them came on the power play in this contest. The 26-year-old defenseman has a goal and nine assists over his last nine outings, a stretch in which the Rangers have also played better overall. Fox is up to 38 points (16 on the power play), 75 shots on net, 66 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 47 appearances this season.

  • Roman Josi D | NSH

Predators' Roman Josi: Keeps point streak alive

Josi recorded a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Sharks.

Josi has been on a tear over the last two weeks and has extended his point streak to six games, tallying three multi-point efforts and nine total contributions (two goals, seven helpers) in that span. The veteran defenseman remains one of the most productive blueliners in the league and has 34 points (nine goals, 25 assists) in 42 appearances this season.
