Jake McCabe D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Nabs assist in loss
McCabe notched an assist, three hits and a minus-2 rating in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Jets.
McCabe has a helper in consecutive contests, and he's earned four assists over his last seven outings. The defenseman is known for his physicality, but he can chip in some supporting offense every now and then. For the season, he has nine assists, 30 shots on net, 23 PIM, 61 hits and 59 blocked shots through 30 appearances.

Josh Morrissey D | WPG
Jets' Josh Morrissey: Reaches 30-assist mark
Morrissey posted two assists, including one on the power play, in Monday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
Morrissey was the only Jet outside of the team's top forward line to get on the scoresheet in the contest. He helped out on Kyle Connor's first goal and Mark Scheifele's second tally. Morrissey has a goal and 10 assists over 12 contests in December, right in line with his season production of three goals and 30 helpers through 36 appearances. He's one of 12 players and one of three blueliners to reach the 30-assist mark by the holiday break.

Luke Hughes D | NJ
Devils' Luke Hughes: Distributes two power-play assists
Hughes recorded two power-play assists and two shots on goal in Monday's 5-0 win over the Rangers.
Hughes has logged a pair of multi-point efforts over his last three games. The 21-year-old defenseman had not put up any power-play points over the previous 10 contests, though he had two goals and six assists in that span. He's settled into a productive role nicely, earning 15 points, 46 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 28 outings in 2024-25.

Radko Gudas D | ANA
Ducks' Radko Gudas: Supplies assist in loss
Gudas notched an assist, four hits and two PIM in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Gudas has earned three helpers over his last four games. The 34-year-old defenseman has seen his ice time drop since the Ducks traded for Jacob Trouba -- the two blueliners play a largely similar game, though Trouba has more scoring potential. Gudas is at six helpers, 29 shots on net, 40 PIM, 72 blocked shots, 106 hits and a minus-3 rating over 33 appearances this season.
-
Shea Theodore D | LV
Golden Knights' Shea Theodore: Registers assist
Theodore logged an assist an went plus-2 in Monday's 3-1 win over the Ducks.
Theodore continues to play well in December -- he has three goals and seven helpers over his last nine outings. The defenseman helped out on Tomas Hertl's game-winning tally in this contest. Theodore is up to four goals, 24 assists, 62 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 33 appearances this season.

Cody Ceci D | LA
Sharks' Cody Ceci: Nets goal in loss
Ceci scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks.
Ceci scored for the first time in 10 games in December, and he's added three helpers this month. The 31-year-old defenseman perhaps had a bit more room to operate on offense since Jake Walman (lower body) was unavailable to play. Ceci has held his own this season with two goals, 10 points, 41 shots on net, 39 hits, 66 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 37 appearances. He continues to play a defensive role on the top pairing.
-
Vincent Desharnais D | SJ
Canucks' Vincent Desharnais: Manages helper
Desharnais notched an assist and two blocked shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Sharks.
The helper was Desharnais' first sine Dec. 6 against the Blue Jackets. The 28-year-old defenseman has played in 10 of the Canucks' 12 games so far in December, filling a bottom-four role while Tyler Myers is on the top pairing to cover Filip Hronek's (lower body) absence. Desharnais has limited scoring upside -- he has just three helpers to go with 32 hits, 32 blocked shots, 15 shots on net, 15 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 22 appearances.

Quinn Hughes D | MIN
Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Dishes pair of helpers
Hughes notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Monday's 4-3 win over the Sharks.
Hughes was labeled a game-time decision due to an undisclosed injury prior to Monday's game. He played and delivered a good performance over 24:45 of ice time, his lowest workload in the last six games. The superstar defenseman has racked up a goal and seven assists over his last five contests. He's at eight goals, 34 helpers, 109 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating through 34 appearances. While whatever was ailing Hughes was something he could play through, he'll get a chance to rest anyway with the Canucks off until Saturday's game versus the Kraken.
-
Ian Cole D | UTA
Hockey Club's Ian Cole: Bags assist in loss
Cole notched an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Stars.
This was Cole's second helper in his last six games, but just his fourth point since the start of November. The 35-year-old defenseman has stayed in the lineup, which has been a challenge for many of Utah's blueliners. He hasn't added much with nine points, 37 shots on net, 39 PIM, 41 hits and 95 blocked shots over 34 appearances. Cole plays a physical and defensive style that doesn't translate to high fantasy value.

Thomas Harley D | DAL
Stars' Thomas Harley: Provides helper in win
Harley notched an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 win over Utah.
Harley picked up his first point since a two-goal game versus the Flames on Dec. 8. He missed two contests due to an illness in that span, but he's been right back in the top four since he returned from that absence. The 23-year-old defenseman is up to 15 points, 69 shots on net, 37 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating through 31 outings this season. He's on pace to fall short of his 47-point performance across 79 regular-season games last year, but he's still adding decent offense for a blueliner.
