Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Makes relief appearance Sunday
Daccord stopped 16 of 19 shots after replacing Philipp Grubauer in the first period of Sunday's 6-2 loss to Detroit.
Daccord replaced Grubauer just over six minutes into the contest after the latter surrendered three goals on four shots. This was Daccord's second appearance in as many days -- he made 33 saves on 35 shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over Buffalo. The 28-year-old has a firm grasp on the No. 1 netminding duties due to Grubauer's struggles this season, and through 26 appearances, Daccord sports a 13-9-2 record, .912 save percentage and 2.49 GAA.

Cam Talbot G | DET
Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Stacking up wins in January
Talbot made 31 saves on 33 shots in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Kraken.
Talbot was never in much danger of losing Sunday, as the Red Wings scored 3:22 into the game and led 6-1 after the second period. The veteran netminder lost his last four games in December, but he's opened the new calendar year with a 4-0-0 record while turning aside 85 of 96 shots in that span. Coach Todd McLellan has done wonders for Motor City since being hired Dec. 27 -- the Red Wings are currently riding a seven-game winning streak. Talbot improved to 10-9-2 with a .903 save percentage and a 2.98 GAA through 23 appearances this season. Alex Lyon is dealing with an upper-body injury, so Talbot could draw the start again in Tuesday's home matchup versus the Sharks.

Juuse Saros G | NSH
Predators' Juuse Saros: Light workload in defeat
Saros conceded three goals on 15 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Capitals. The fourth tally was an empty-netter.
Nashville more than doubled Washington's shot total Saturday, but Saros wasn't given enough offensive support on home ice. The 29-year-old allowed two goals at even strength and one on the power play. Saros has surrendered at least three goals in four of his last five outings, going 1-4-0 in that span. Overall, the Finnish netminder has a 9-18-6 record, .904 save percentage and 2.78 GAA through 33 appearances.

Filip Gustavsson G | MIN
Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Slated to start against Vegas
Gustavsson is expected to start Sunday's road matchup against the Golden Knights, Wild radio broadcaster Joe O'Donnell reports.
Gustavsson got the night off Saturday against San Jose, but he'll unsurprisingly return to the net for the second half of the back-to-back set. The 26-year-old has been inconsistent over three appearances this month, going 1-1-0 with a 4.16 GAA and .848 save percentage, and he could have some difficulty against the Golden Knights, who are tied for fourth in the NHL with 3.40 goals per game.

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Facing Hurricanes
Dostal will protect the road net versus Carolina on Sunday.
Dostal will get the second half of Anaheim's back-to-back after John Gibson played in Saturday's 6-0 loss to Philadelphia. The 24-year-old Dostal has a 10-12-3 record with one shutout, a 2.93 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 25 appearances this season. Carolina sits sixth in the league with 3.37 goals per game in 2024-25.

Merilainen will patrol the home crease versus Dallas on Sunday, per TSN 1200 Ottawa.
Merilainen will play again after posting a 29-save shutout win against Pittsburgh on Saturday. He has a 3-2-0 record with a 2.42 GAA and a .911 save percentage across five NHL outings this season. Dallas ranks 10th in the league with 3.22 goals per game in 2024-25.

Jonas Johansson G | TB
Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Starting in Pittsburgh
Johansson will defend the road net versus the Penguins on Sunday, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports.
Johansson will get the second half of Tampa Bay's back-to-back after Andrei Vasilevskiy played in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to New Jersey. The 29-year-old Johansson has a 4-3-1 record with one shutout, a 3.32 GAA and an .898 save percentage in nine appearances this season. Pittsburgh is tied for 15th in the league with 3.00 goals per game in 2024-25.

Casey DeSmith G | DAL
Stars' Casey DeSmith: Defending crease Sunday
DeSmith will guard the road net versus Ottawa on Sunday, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
DeSmith will get the second half of Dallas' back-to-back after Jake Oettinger played in Saturday's 2-1 shootout win over Montreal. The 33-year-old DeSmith has won his last four starts, stopping 108 of 114 shots. He has a 6-4-0 record with one shutout, a 2.24 GAA and a .916 save percentage across 12 appearances this season. Ottawa sits 22nd in the league with 2.90 goals per game in 2024-25 and earned a 5-0 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Tristan Jarry G | EDM
Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Tending twine Sunday
Jarry will patrol the home crease versus Tampa Bay on Sunday, per Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports.
Jarry will get the second half of Pittsburgh's back-to-back after Alex Nedeljkovic started Saturday's 5-0 loss to Ottawa. The 29-year-old Jarry has posted a record of 8-6-4 with a 3.33 GAA and an .888 save percentage through 20 appearances this season. Tampa Bay ranks first in the league with 3.65 goals per game in 2024-25 and lost a 3-2 overtime decision versus New Jersey on Saturday.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Sharp in Saturday's win
Thompson allowed a goal on 33 shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Predators.
Filip Forsberg scored on the power play in the second period, but nothing else got by Thompson. It was more impressive the 27-year-old goalie was able to play so well after playing two-plus periods in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Canadiens following an upper-body injury to Charlie Lindgren. Thompson has won six of his last seven appearances while allowing a total of 13 goals in that span. He's 18-2-3 with a 2.32 GAA and a .919 save percentage over 23 outings. Thompson has thrived in a timeshare this year, but the No. 1 job is his alone during Lindgren's absence, so fantasy managers may want to monitor how Thompson fares under a heavier workload.
