Martin was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate and is slated to patrol the road crease in San Jose on Friday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Martin will get the start in net for the third time in the Rangers' last four games. He is 1-1-0 with a 4.11 GAA and an .848 save percentage over four outings this season. The Rangers are struggling without Igor Shesterkin (lower body), who has been out of action since Jan. 5. The Sharks are generating 3.08 goals per game, tied for 17th in the league this season.

Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Expected to face Anaheim
Grubauer is expected to start at home against Anaheim on Friday, per Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network.
Grubauer stopped 24 of 25 shots in a 4-1 win over the Islanders on Wednesday. He improved to 10-4-3 with a 2.37 GAA and a .919 save percentage in 19 outings this campaign. He'll be facing Anaheim at a time when the squad is hot. The Ducks have won their past five games, though they've averaged a modest 2.60 goals per game over that stretch.

Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Slated to start Friday
Markstrom is in the starter's crease at morning practice and is expected to defend the road cage in Vancouver on Friday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Markstrom is 3-1-0 over his last four starts, allowing nine goals on 97 shots. He is 13-11-1 with a 3.27 GAA and an .882 save percentage across 26 appearances this season. The Canucks are having trouble finding the back of the net this season, averaging 2.58 goals per game, 28th in the NHL.

Nedeljkovic is slated to guard the home cage versus the Rangers on Friday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
Nedeljkovic is sharing the net with Yaroslav Askarov, and it's doing Nedeljkovic a world of good, as he has won his last four starts, giving up nine goals on 115 shots (.922 save percentage) during that stretch. Overall, he is 9-8-2 with a 2.96 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 22 appearances this season. The Rangers are 27th in NHL scoring, generating 2.67 goals per game.

Binnington will defend the road crease against Dallas on Friday, Andy Strickland of FanDuel Sports Network reports.
Binnington has struggled over his last three starts, going 0-3-0 with a 5.03 GAA and .828 save percentage during that time. He made a home start against the Stars on Oct. 18 and turned aside 18 of 19 shots (.947 save percentage) in a 3-1 victory.

Ersson was the first goalie to leave the ice Friday, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports, indicating he'll be between the pipes on the road versus Colorado.
Ersson will make his sixth straight appearance in the crease, having gone 1-2-1 in his last five outings with a 3.60 GAA and .859 save percentage. While the 26-year-old backstop continues to see the bulk of the workload for the Flyers, the impending return of Dan Vladar (lower body) figures to see Ersson relegated to the backup role once again.

Wolf won't start Friday's home game against the Capitals, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
A previous report from Steinberg suggested that Wolf would draw the start against Washington, but Devin Cooley will ultimately tend the twine Friday. The two goalies have alternated starts over the past two weeks, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Wolf return to the crease at home against the Ducks on Sunday.

Cooley will start Friday's home game against the Capitals, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
A previous report from Steinberg indicated that Dustin Wolf would draw the start Friday, but Cooley will ultimately draw the start, continuing the timeshare that the two netminders have had over the past two weeks. Across his last three starts, Cooley has gone 2-0-1 with a 1.33 GAA and .952 save percentage.

Blackwood will make his second start since returning from a lower-body injury Jan. 16 after missing six games. Blackwood was beaten up in his start versus Nashville, allowing five goals on 28 shots in a 7-3 home loss. Blackwood is 13-2-1 with a 2.26 GAA and a .917 save percentage for the mighty Avalanche. The Flyers are generating 2.90 goals per game, tied for 21st in the league in 2025-26.

Wolf is 15-20-2 with a pair of shutouts, a 3.00 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 38 appearances in 2025-26. The Capitals are tied for 13th in NHL scoring this season, generating 3.18 goals per game.
