  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Starting in divisional matchup

Swayman will patrol the home blue paint Tuesday against the Red Wings, according to Scott McLaughlin of WEEI.

Aside from giving up six goals in Seattle on Jan. 6, Swayman has bounced back from the rough patch he endured at the end of December. The 27-year-old is 3-1-0 across his last four appearances after going 0-2-2 with an .852 save percentage and a 3.45 GAA over five prior outings. Swayman should have the upper hand for Tuesday's matchup, as the Red Wings had to travel after Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Hurricanes, while the Bruins have been off since Sunday. He's faced Detroit twice already this season, posting a 1-1-0 record while allowing a total of seven goals on 49 shots (.857 save percentage).

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Scheduled to face Isles

Hellebuyck is expected to be between the home pipes against the Islanders on Tuesday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Following a 10-game stretch in which he went 0-6-4, Hellebuyck finally got back into the win column Sunday against New Jersey, stopping 24 of 27 shots in a 4-3 victory. As for Tuesday's adversary, the Islanders are 3-0-1 and have scored 18 goals over their last four games, though nine of those markers came in a shutout win over the Devils on Jan. 6. Hellebuyck hasn't fared that well against the Isles in his career, going 5-7-0 with a 3.20 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 12 outings.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Slated to start Tuesday

Bussi is expected to be between the road pipes versus the Blues on Tuesday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Bussi has wins in five of his last six outings, going 5-1-0 with a 2.65 GAA and an .873 save percentage. While the youngster should continue to see the bulk of the workload ahead of Frederik Andersen, an upcoming back-to-back versus the Panthers and Devils on Friday and Saturday, respectively, figures to give both backstops the opportunity to start.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Carried to win Monday

Dobes made 20 saves in Monday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

The game was tied 3-3 through two periods, but Montreal dominated the final 20 minutes to hand Dobes the win. The 24-year-old has made only five starts over the last month as part of the Habs' three-man committee between the pipes, but he's gotten the job done when called upon, going 4-0-1 with a 2.56 GAA and an .893 save percentage.

  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Hammered by Habs

Tolopilo turned aside 35 shots in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Canadiens.

The Canucks kept things close through two periods, but the Habs beat Tolopilo three times on 14 shots in the final frame. The 25-year-old netminder is back in the NHL to provide depth behind Kevin Lankinen during the latest absence for Thatcher Demko (lower body), but Tolopilo's 3.50 GAA and .894 save percentage in five appearances for Vancouver this season don't give him much fantasy appeal.

  • Senators' Leevi Merilainen: Protecting home net

Merilainen is drawing the home start against the Canucks on Tuesday, per Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.

Merilainen has seen workhorse usage since Linus Ullmark left the team for personal reasons. This will be the 23-year-old Merilainen's eighth consecutive start Tuesday -- he's 2-4-0 with a 3.56 GAA and an .853 save percentage over his last seven outings. The Finnish netminder should have a favorable matchup against a Vancouver club that lost in Montreal on Monday by a 6-3 score, while the Senators haven't played since Saturday.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Red Wings' John Gibson: Hangs on for OT win

Gibson stopped 31 shots in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Hurricanes.

The veteran netminder took a shutout into the third period, but Carolina's special teams forced OT with two power-play tallies and a shortie. Andrew Copp was able to bail Gibson out with the OT winner, however. Gibson has won four straight starts, and since the beginning of December, he's gone 13-2-0 in 15 outings with a dazzling 2.07 GAA and .930 save percentage.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Falls to Wings in OT

Andersen made 14 saves in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to Detroit.

Carolina did its usual good job of limiting chances by the opposition, but Andersen still allowed three goals on only 13 shots through the first two periods before the Hurricanes mounted a frantic rally in the third just to force OT. The veteran netminder has struggled in five starts since Pyotr Kochetkov (hip) landed on IR in late December, going 1-3-1 with a 3.99 GAA and ghastly .826 save percentage over that stretch.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: First goalie off Tuesday

Silovs was the first goalie to leave the ice Tuesday, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports, indicating he'll be between the pipes at home versus the Lightning.

Silovs continues to work every other game, splitting the workload with Stuart Skinner. In his last six outings, the 24-year-old Silovs is sporting a 4-2-0 record, 3.13 GAA and .875 save percentage. Skinner has allowed just one goal in each of his last four outings, so Silovs can't afford any missteps right now if he wants to keep getting opportunities.

  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Set to start against Flames

Greaves will start Tuesday's home contest against the Flames, per Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers.

After a solid outing in Sunday's win over the Mammoth, Greaves will be called upon for the second straight game amidst Elvis Merzlikins' struggles to stay healthy and post consistent numbers. Greaves' win Sunday snapped Columbus' 0-3-1 winless drought. The 24-year-old netminder has a 13-12-6 record with a 2.71 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 31 outings this season. Entering Tuesday's contest, Calgary has generated 2.48 goals per game this season, which ranks second-worst in the league, giving Greaves a favorable matchup.
