  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Settles for loss against Dallas

Kuemper allowed two goals on 17 shots during Monday's 3-1 loss to the Stars. The third goal was an empty-netter.

Kuemper entered Monday's game coming off a performance against the Jets on Jan. 9 in which he recorded just 11 saves on 16 shots (.688 save percentage) before being pulled after the second period of the loss. While he was forced to settle for a third consecutive loss Monday, he held the Stars' formidable offense in check for most of the game. Kuemper faced an early deficit after Wyatt Johnston scored 3:44 into the game, but the netminder didn't allow another goal until Jason Robertson potted the game-winner with 3:46 remaining in the third period. Kuemper has now gone 2-3-1 over six outings since the start of the calendar year, but he put forth a strong effort against the Stars despite the loss.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Returns to win column Monday

Oettinger turned aside 24 of 25 shots during Monday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Oettinger had been shaky in recent outings, going 0-2-2 with a 4.55 GAA and .835 save percentage over his last four starts. He entered Monday's matchup coming off his worst performance of the season, as he saved just 10 of 15 shots (.667 save percentage) in a loss to the Hurricanes on Jan. 6 before being pulled in the second period. However, Oettinger bounced back against the Kings' lackluster offense Monday, and he earned his first win since Dec. 21. The Stars are slated to face Anaheim in the second half of a back-to-back set Tuesday, and Oettinger will likely get a night off while Casey DeSmith draws the start.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Rough stretch continues

Quick made 25 saves in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Kraken. He allowed three goals.

The Rangers gave Quick a two-goal cushion, only to see the Kraken roar back with four unanswered snipes. It was the third multi-goal comeback win of the season for the Kraken, with all three coming on the road. Quick is struggling through what might be the toughest stretches of his career. He hasn't won since Nov. 7, and he's 0-8-2 in his last nine starts (10 appearances).

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Unbeaten in regulation in last six

Grubauer made 20 saves on 22 shots in a 4-2 win over the Rangers on Monday.

Grubauer is undefeated in regulation since Dec. 22, a span of six games (5-0-1). He has allowed just nine goals in that period, and he's rolling with a tidy 9-3-2 record, 2.25 GAA and .924 save percentage. Grubauer is a solid fantasy play who continues to alternate starts with Joey Daccord. His next outing is likely Thursday in Boston.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Set to start Tuesday

Montembeault will defend the road net against Washington on Tuesday, per Patrick Friolet of RDS.

Montembeault will get the second half of Montreal's back-to-back after Jakub Dobes plays in Monday's home matchup against Vancouver. The 29-year-old Montembeault has won his last three outings while stopping 77 of 84 shots. He has gone 8-6-1 with a 3.39 GAA and an .869 save percentage across 18 appearances this season. Washington is tied for eighth in the league during the 2025-26 campaign with 3.26 goals per game.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Tending twine Tuesday

Sorokin will defend the road net against Winnipeg on Tuesday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Sorokin has won his last two outings while stopping 77 of the 80 shots he has faced. He has a 14-10-2 record, a 2.46 GAA, a .915 save percentage and four shutouts through 26 appearances this season. Winnipeg ranks 21st in the league with 2.93 goals per game during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Exits ice first Monday

Oettinger was the first goalie to exit the ice Monday, Robert Tiffin of D Magazine reports, indicating he'll be in goal on the road against the Kings.

Oettinger will take the first game of the Stars' back-to-back, which means Casey DeSmith figures to get the nod on the road versus Anaheim on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Oettinger is currently mired in a four-game losing streak, posting a 0-2-2 record to go with 16 goals allowed on 97 shots in that span. Even with Oettinger struggling, he is unlikely to lose the No. 1 job to DeSmith any time soon.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Facing Red Wings

Andersen will guard the road goal against Detroit on Monday, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.

Andersen is coming off an 11-save performance in Thursday's 5-2 win over Anaheim. He has a 6-10-2 record with a 3.35 GAA and an .866 save percentage through 18 appearances this campaign. Detroit is tied for 16th in the league this season with 3.11 goals per game.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Starting against Dallas

Kuemper was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Stars.

Kuemper hasn't performed particularly well since the start of the calendar year, going 2-2-1 with a 3.97 GAA and .854 save percentage over his last five starts. However, he's been effective over two road appearances against Dallas this year, going 1-0-0 with two goals allowed on 36 shots in those contests. Despite Kuemper's success over a limited sample against the Stars, they rank third in the NHL with 3.42 goals per game this season.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Poised to start Monday

Woll is expected to defend the cage on the road against the Avalanche on Monday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

Woll is undefeated in regulation over his last seven outings, posting a 5-0-1 record, 2.62 GAA and one shutout in that span. With a back-to-back on the schedule, Dennis Hildeby figures to guard the cage for Tuesday's road game versus the Mammoth.
