  • Devin Cooley G | CGY

Flames' Devin Cooley: Pulled after two periods

Cooley allowed four goals on 16 shots Tuesday before he was replaced after two periods by Dustin Wolf, who made 11 saves in a 5-1 loss to Nashville.

Cooley had been hot leading into Tuesday -- he was 3-0-1 in four starts since Nov. 19 -- but the Flames helped make him look human against the Preds. Cooley is still 3-3-2 with a 2.17 GAA and a .920 save percentage in eight starts (11 appearances) this season. He will go into the record book as the goalie who allowed Steven Stamkos' 1,200th NHL point, a tap-in blocker side that stood as the winner.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Perfect in relief for win

Blackwood stopped all 11 shots he faced in relief of Scott Wedgewood (upper body) in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Canucks.

Blackwood was called upon just over halfway through the second period, entering after a TV timeout. The 28-year-old didn't face much traffic to close out that frame, and while the Canucks generated more shots in the third, he held them at bay to collect his sixth straight win. He's allowed just nine goals on 149 shots (.940 save percentage) during the streak, which includes everything but his season debut. Blackwood and Wedgewood were starting to settle into an even share of the crease, but Wedgewood's injury could lead to Blackwood getting significant playing time for a while, depending on the severity. The Avalanche begin a four-game road trip versus the Islanders on Thursday, and it includes a back-to-back (Saturday against the Rangers, Sunday versus the Flyers).

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Third straight loss

Bobrovsky made 26 saves in a 4-1 loss to Toronto on Tuesday.

He allowed three goals. Bob is 10-8-0, but he has lost three straight games, and his .883 save percentage this season is the worst of his career. Still, the Panthers don't need Bobrovsky to be excellent in the regular season -- he has delivered two straight Stanley Cup wins in the last two years. His Hall of Fame credentials carry him on the ice, but Bob is a frustrating fantasy netminder.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Sharp in win

Woll made 26 saves in a 4-1 win over Florida on Tuesday.

Sam Reinhart was the only kitty to beat Woll. The winger was alone on the slot and waited out the netminder, beating him over the glove while shorthanded. Woll is 3-3-1 with a 2.53 GAA and a .925 save percentage in seven starts. He has stabilized the Leafs' blue paint while Anthony Stolarz (upper body) is out.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Dealing with upper-body injury

Wedgewood (upper body) will not return to Tuesday's game versus the Canucks.

It wasn't obvious what caused Wedgewood to leave the game in the middle of the second period, but the team was able to clarify that it was an injury. He stopped 10 of 11 shots before his exit, but Wedgewood left with the game tied at 1-1, so he won't get a result. Mackenzie Blackwood took over in goal and will see the bulk of the starts if Wedgewood misses any additional time. The Avalanche are beginning a four-game road trip Thursday versus the Islanders.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: First loss in last seven starts

Vasilevskiy made 21 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Islanders on Tuesday.

Bo Horvat beat him in the second period when he stuffed in his own rebound, and Anthony Duclair wired a one-timer that beat him blocker side. It was Vasilevskiy's first loss in his last seven starts (6-1-0). He has allowed nine goals in those games (one shutout win).

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Spectacular in win over Tampa

Sorokin made 27 saves in a 2-1 win over the Lightning on Tuesday.

Sorokin carried a shutout to the 16:26 mark of the third period when Dominic James curled out from below the goal line and banked a wrist shot off his glove. Sorokin was spectacular at times, including a filthy left pad save on an Anthony Cirelli backhand in the second period after the Bolts pivot got behind the Isles D. The 30-year-old Sorokin ended Tampa's seven-game winning streak and snapped his own three-game losing streak in the process.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: In goal against Vegas

Knight will protect the road goal versus the Golden Knights on Tuesday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Knight snapped a three-game skid with a 5-3 win over the Ducks on Sunday, stopped 23 of 26 shots. The Golden Knights present another tough task, as they've gone 2-2-2 with 16 goals over their last six games, which is a bit of a quiet stretch for them.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

    Predators' Juuse Saros: Facing Flames

Saros will protect the home net against Calgary on Tuesday, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.

Saros is coming off a 24-save performance in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over Chicago. He has a 7-9-3 record with a 3.08 GAA and an .889 save percentage through 19 appearances this season. Calgary sits 32nd in the league this campaign with 2.33 goals per game.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Tending twine Tuesday

Vasilevskiy will defend the road net against the Islanders on Tuesday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Vasilevskiy has won his last six outings while stopping 162 of the 169 shots he has faced. He has posted a record of 11-5-2 this season with one shutout, a 2.32 GAA and a .915 save percentage through 18 appearances. The Islanders have registered 2.88 goals per game this campaign, tying for the 22nd-best mark in the league.
