  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Takes tough loss Saturday

Shesterkin turned aside 17 of 18 shots in Saturday's 2-0 loss to the Stars, with Dallas' final goal getting scored into an empty net.

The 30-year-old netminder battled Jake Oettinger for two scoreless periods before Jason Robertson finally got a puck past Shesterkin on a power play midway through the final frame. Shesterkin has been playing well to close out a lost season for the Rangers, but he hasn't been getting much offensive support -- over his last eight starts, he sports a 2.16 GAA and .911 save percentage but has just a 3-5-0 record to show for it.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Capsized by Caps

Silovs stopped 25 of 30 shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals, with Washington's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

After a scoreless first period, the two teams erupted for seven goals in the second frame, with Silovs getting beaten four times on 14 shots. The 25-year-old has had a bumpy finish to the regular season, going 7-4-0 since the beginning of March with a 3.49 GAA and .864 save percentage, but Stuart Skinner hasn't been a whole lot better over that same stretch. It remains unclear which netminder will handle starting duties for Pittsburgh when the playoffs begin.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Secures win No. 30

Thompson turned aside nine shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Penguins.

The Capitals out-shot the home squad 30-12 on the afternoon, and all the goals against Thompson came in a wild second period that featured seven of the game's nine tallies. The win was Thompson's 30th of the season, marking the second straight campaign in which he has reached that plateau. Over his last 12 starts, he has gone 8-2-2 with a 2.64 GAA and .907 save percentage.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Gets no help in loss

Sorokin stopped 13 of 15 shots in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Senators, with Ottawa's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

Both tallies against Sorokin came in odd-man situations, as Ridly Greig potted a shortie in the first period before Jake Sanderson banged home a power-play goal in the third. Sorokin has just one win in his last six outings, going 1-5-0 with a rough 4.16 GAA and .850 save percentage, and the Islanders' playoff hopes are on life support as a result -- they're three points back of the Flyers for the third seed in the Metro Division with two games to play, and the Blue Jackets a point up on New York as well.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Blanks Isles to clinch playoff spot

Ullmark made 23 saves in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Islanders.

The shutout was the third of the season for Ullmark, and it clinched a playoff spot for the Senators. The veteran netminder will be taking plenty of momentum into the postseason -- he's currently on a four-start winning streak, and Ullmark has gone 7-2-1 with a 2.47 GAA and .909 save percentage over his last 10 outings.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Good performance in shootout loss

Askarov stopped 38 of 41 shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canucks.

Askarov has lost his last three outings (0-2-1), but this was a capable performance. The goalie has given up at least three goals in five straight appearances, and those struggles have all but cost the Sharks a chance at a playoff spot. Askarov is down to 21-19-4 with a 3.59 GAA and an .885 save percentage over 46 contests in his first full NHL campaign. There's a lot to like with him in the long run, especially if the Sharks can make some much-needed defensive improvements. They'll close out this season on the road with three games in four days, beginning Monday in Nashville.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Earns shootout win in return

Lankinen stopped 28 of 31 shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Sharks.

The Canucks never led in regulation, but Lankinen made sure the game didn't get out of hand. He then stepped up in the shootout, allowing just one goal on five attempts to collect his second win in a row. Lankinen had been out for the last three games due to an illness and an upper-body injury, but he appears to be healthy to finish the season. The 30-year-old netminder has gone 10-26-5 with a 3.67 GAA and an .876 save percentage over 45 appearances. He'll likely cede the crease to Nikita Tolopilo for Sunday's road game in Anaheim, but Lankinen could make another start or two before the season ends.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Loses to Vegas in overtime

Blackwood stopped 26 of 29 shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.

The Golden Knights got a good game out of their top players, and that was the difference. Blackwood has just one win in his last five appearances, going 1-2-1 with 16 goals allowed on 126 shots in that span. The 29-year-old is at 22-10-2 with a 2.55 GAA and a .901 save percentage over 37 appearances this season. The Avalanche look committed to a timeshare in the crease for now and could keep that up into the playoffs, though Blackwood will have to pull his weight to avoid losing more time to Scott Wedgewood. The Avalanche have a back-to-back up next, visiting the Oilers on Monday and the Flames on Tuesday.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Up to task against Avalanche

Hart stopped 30 of 32 shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Avalanche.

Hart picked up his fourth win in a row, and he did it against the league's top team this time. He's allowed just seven goals on 97 shots over those four victories, solidifying his status as the Golden Knights' No. 1 goalie heading into the playoffs. The 27-year-old is up to 9-3-3 with a 2.87 GAA and an .886 save percentage over 16 appearances this season. The Golden Knights' next game is Monday at home versus the Jets, followed by the regular-season finale at home Wednesday against the Kraken. Expect Hart to start at least one of those contests.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Takes loss against Florida

Woll stopped 19 of 23 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Panthers. The last two goals were empty-netters.

With lineups resembling that of a preseason game, Woll was unable to get much help from his teammates. This was his fourth loss in a row (0-3-1), and he's allowed 19 goals on 118 shots in that span. Woll is now at 15-16-7 with a 3.34 GAA and an .898 save percentage over 39 appearances. It'll be tough sledding the rest of the way, as the Maple Leafs' home finale is Monday versus the Stars followed by Wednesday's season-ending matchup in Ottawa. It's possible Woll and Artur Akhtyamov will split those games, but neither goalie makes for an appealing streaming option at this time of year.
