  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Hangs on for shootout win

Dostal stopped 31 shots in regulation and overtime and two of three shootout attempts in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

After a scoreless first period, the Ducks grabbed a 2-0 lead in the second, only to see it evaporate in the third as the home side came storming back. Dostal kept Florida from finding the winner, though, and he was the sharper netminder in the shootout. The 25-year-old has had a solid start to his first season as the unquestioned No. 1 for Anaheim, going 3-3-1 with a 2.84 GAA and a .906 save percentage over seven outings.

  • Alex Lyon G | BUF

Sabres' Alex Lyon: Falls to Jackets in OT

Lyon made 35 saves in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Columbus.

The Sabres had 2-1 and 3-2 leads, but Lyon shouldn't shoulder the blame for any of the pucks that got past him. The veteran netminder continues to see a high volume of rubber behind a shaky Sabres defense, getting peppered with at least 30 shots in all eight of his starts en route to a 3-4-1 record, 2.77 GAA and .919 save percentage. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made his season debut Saturday after recovering from a lower-body injury. It's a crowded crease situation with Colten Ellis also in the mix, but Lyon has built a strong case for himself to maintain a significant role.

  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Snags second win in OT

Greaves turned aside 35 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

The young netminder was especially busy in the third period, stopping 15 of 16 shots in the frame as Buffalo tried desperately to find a winner in regulation. Greaves has been solid so far in a strict rotation with Elvis Merzlikins, going 2-3-0 in five starts with a 2.81 GAA and a .907 save percentage while allowing three goals or fewer in four of those outings.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Busted by Vegas

Andersen stopped 29 of 34 shots in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights, with Vegas' final goal getting scored into an empty net.

The Hurricanes briefly took a 3-2 lead early in the third period, but Andersen couldn't withstand a late onslaught from the visitors. The veteran netminder has given up fewer than three goals only once in his first six starts this season, leaving him with a 3.11 GAA and an .892 save percentage despite a 4-2-0 record. With Pyotr Kochetkov (lower body) returning to practice Monday, Andersen's stint holding down the top job in the Carolina crease is close to coming to an end. They should split starts once they are both in the lineup.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Hangs on for fifth win

Schmid made 21 saves in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes.

Logan Stankoven ripped a shot from the slot past Schmid early in the third period to give Carolina a 3-2 lead, but the 25-year-old netminder shut the door the rest of the way while the Vegas offense took control. Schmid has benefitted from some impressive support in the early going, with the Golden Knights scoring at least four goals in all five of his wins -- helping to explain why his 5-1-0 record is outpacing his 2.73 GAA and .892 save percentage. Adin Hill (lower body) still lacks a timeline for his return, and Carter Hart (suspension) won't be eligible for the NHL roster until December, so Schmid will continue to hold down the fort in the Vegas crease.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Set to start Wednesday

Merzlikins is expected to start at home against Toronto on Wednesday, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

Merzlikins is 3-1-0 with a 2.96 GAA and a .915 save percentage in four appearances this year. He faced the Maple Leafs twice during the 2024-25 regular season, going 1-1-0 while stopping 50 of 56 shots (.893 save percentage). Toronto is 5-4-1 and is tied for 10th in goals per game with 3.50 this year.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Earns shutout win

Oettinger made 24 saves in Tuesday's 1-0 shutout win over the Capitals.

Oettinger earned his second straight win and picked up his first shutout of the season. The 26-year-old goalie has a 5-2-1 record with a 2.61 GAA and a .909 save percentage across eight outings this campaign. He has earned at least 35 wins in three previous regular seasons and should repeat that level of success in 2025-26. Oettinger remains a top-tier option between the pipes in all fantasy formats.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Surrenders one goal in loss

Thompson made 18 of 19 saves in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to the Stars.

Outside of Dallas' lone goal, scored by Tyler Seguin with a man advantage, Thompson had a solid outing and kept the net tidy at even strength. The loss was just the second of the season for the 28-year-old netminder, which brought his record to 5-2-0 with a 1.44 GAA and a .939 save percentage through seven appearances. Tuesday's performance extended Thompson's streak of allowing just one goal to four games, and he holds the best GAA among goaltenders with five appearances or more. Last year's goaltending surprise of the season in fantasy is picking up where he left off last year, making him an elite option in all formats.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Earns win vs. New Jersey

Wedgewood stopped 26 of 30 shots in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Devils.

Wedgewood returned to guarding the Avs' goal after not playing in the 4-3 loss to New Jersey on Sunday, but this time, Colorado provided enough support on offense to allow Wedgewood to get the win despite conceding four goals. The 33-year-old netminder hasn't been at his best of late. He's allowed four goals in three of his last four outings, a span in which he's posted a 4.70 GAA and .839 save percentage.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Gives up eight goals

Markstrom stopped 34 of 42 shots in Tuesday's 8-4 loss to the Avalanche.

Markstrom allowed four goals on the power play and four at even strength. He surrendered at least two goals in each period, and the Devils couldn't find a way to slow down the Avalanche. Markstrom's first start since recovering from a lower-body injury was a rough one, but he should remain New Jersey's No. 1 goaltender ahead of Jake Allen. However, Allen could push for more playing time if Markstrom continues to struggle this season.
