  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Starting against Oilers

Vejmelka will guard the road goal against Edmonton on Tuesday, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.

Vejmelka has won six straight games, stopping 137 of 152 shots. He has a 6-1-0 record this season while allowing only 17 goals on 179 shots. Edmonton ranks 21st in the league with 2.90 goals per game this campaign.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: First off at morning skate

Quick is slated to start in Vancouver on Tuesday, per Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic.

Quick will make his third start of the campaign Tuesday, as he holds a 1-1-0 record, 2.03 GAA and .911 save percentage across his first two appearances. Vancouver snapped a three-game losing streak in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over Edmonton, and the club is tied for 23rd in the NHL with 2.80 goals per game. Quick is 20-20-4 with a 2.10 GAA and a .924 save percentage across 44 career regular-season outings against the Canucks.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Set to start in Seattle

Dobes will be in goal for Tuesday's road matchup versus the Kraken.

Dobes is on fire to start the 2025-26 campaign, as he's yet to be tagged with a loss and has allowed two goals or less in four of his five appearances. The 24-year-old is currently working in a timeshare with Sam Montembeault, but Dobes could force his way into the No. 1 role if he continues to play at a high level. The Kraken are 5-2-2 but rank just 25th in the NHL with 2.78 goals per game this year.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Leaves ice first

Askarov was the first goalie off Tuesday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports, indicating he'll be in goal at home versus the Kings.

Askarov will make his third straight appearance between the pipes for the Sharks after having split the opening seven games with Alex Nedeljkovic. With a 1-3-1 record and a 4.80 GAA, it's a little surprising Askarov is continuing to get a heavier workload. A back-to-back versus the Avs and Wings on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, should give both netminders some work in the coming days.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Expected to start in Colorado

Markstrom is scheduled to tend the road twine Tuesday against the Avalanche, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Markstrom returned to the lineup Sunday as the backup to Jake Allen in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over Colorado. The 35-year-old Markstrom will get the nod in Tuesday's rematch, and it'll be his first appearance since he suffered a lower-body injury Oct. 13 in Columbus. The Avalanche have lost four straight games (0-1-3) and rank 13th in the NHL with 3.30 goals per game in 2025-26.

  • Trent Miner G | COL

Avalanche's Trent Miner: Goes on waivers

Miner was put on waivers Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

While filling in as Scott Wedgewood's backup to begin the 2025-26 NHL season, Miner posted a record of 0-0-2 while surrendering four goals on 44 shots in two appearances. The Avalanche will have Mackenzie Blackwood (lower body) back in the lineup in Tuesday's home matchup versus New Jersey, so the 24-year-old Miner will report to AHL Colorado if he clears waivers.

  • Canucks' Thatcher Demko: First goalie off Tuesday

Demko was the first goalie to leave the ice Tuesday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports, indicating he'll tend the twine at home versus the Rangers.

Demko will make consecutive starts for only the second time this season, having split the last eight games with Kevin Lankinen. For his part, the 29-year-old Demko is sporting a 4-2-0 record, 2.36 GAA and .922 save percentage through six appearances this year. Eventually, Demko figures to take a larger share of the workload, though Vancouver figures to take a cautious approach given the netminder's injury history.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Draws home start Tuesday

Wedgewood will be between the home pipes Tuesday versus New Jersey, according to Bailey Curtis of DNVR Sports.

Wedgewood has seen workhorse usage early in 2025-26, but that will change soon, as Mackenzie Blackwood (lower body) is set to serve as the backup for Tuesday's game. The 33-year-old Wedgewood is 5-1-2 with a .904 save percentage and a 2.42 GAA over nine appearances this year. The veteran netminder will have a tough test Tuesday, as the Devils have won eight consecutive contests and have scored no less than three goals in all nine of their games in 2025-26.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Back in lineup Tuesday

Blackwood (lower body) will be the backup behind Scott Wedgewood in Tuesday's home game against New Jersey, Bailey Curtis of DNVR Sports reports.

Following a 10-game absence to begin the season, Blackwood will return to the lineup and should be back between the pipes soon. He was excellent for the Avalanche last year and could wrestle the No. 1 job away from Wedgewood after getting back into a rhythm.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Set to face Wild

Hellebuyck was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports, indicating he will defend the road net against Minnesota on Tuesday.

Despite allowing only four goals on 58 shots, Hellebuyck has lost his last two outings. As a result, his record has slipped to 4-3-0, but he has been superb between the pipes while stopping 193 of the 208 shots he has faced. Minnesota sits 27th in the league with 2.70 goals per game this campaign.
