  • Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: First off ice Thursday

Korpisalo was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate and will defend the home crease versus Anaheim on Thursday. per Scott McLaughlin of WEEI.

Korpisalo has struggled in the early going, posting a 1-2-0 record with a 3.35 GAA and an .865 save percentage in three starts. Korpisalo will face the Ducks, who are tied for 10th in NHL scoring, averaging 3.17 goals per game.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Facing Penguins

Bobrovsky will be between the home pipes versus Pittsburgh on Thursday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.

Bobrovsky is off to another good start to the season, posting a 4-2-0 record with a 2.18 GAA and a .914 save percentage across six starts. The Penguins are averaging 3.29 goals this season, good for ninth in the NHL.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Tending twine Thursday

Ullmark will defend the home crease against the Flyers on Thursday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Ullmark has made six starts this year, going 2-3-1 with a 3.80 GAA and .854 save percentage. He'll make a fourth consecutive start Thursday and will attempt to bounce back after going 0-1-1 over his last two outings.

  • Senators' Leevi Merilainen: Recalled from AHL

Merilainen was called up from AHL Belleville on Thursday.

Merilainen was sent down Sunday and picked up the start in goal Wednesday, turning aside 26 shots in a 6-2 win over Laval. Merilainen was outstanding last season in limited action for Ottawa, posting an 8-3-1 record with three shutouts, a 1.99 GAA and a .925 save percentage across 12 appearances. Merilainen got off to a horrible start this season, giving up seven goals on 26 shots in his lone start, prompting the Senators to banish him to the minors for one contest. Ottawa sent Mads Sogaard to Belleville in a corresponding move.

  • Mads Sogaard G | OTT

Senators' Mads Sogaard: Sent down Thursday

Sogaard was loaned to AHL Belleville on Thursday.

Sogaard was called up by Ottawa on Sunday, but he didn't appear in a game during his stint with the NHL club. He'll head back to the minors after Leevi Merilainen was recalled Thursday.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Tagged with loss Wednesday

Gustavsson stopped 31 of 34 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Devils. The fourth goal was an empty-netter with 1:17 left in the third period.

Minnesota was pushing for a late comeback by the time Jesper Bratt scored the Devils' fourth goal. Gustavsson has posted a save percentage above .910 in his last two games after struggling in his previous appearances, but the Wild's defensive issues will continue to limit his fantasy upside. All things considered, Gustavsson has gone 2-4-0 with a 3.03 GAA and a .902 save percentage through six games in 2025-26, stopping 165 of the 183 shots he's faced. It's still early in the season, but those numbers represent a downgrade compared to what he did in 2024-25 (2.56 GAA, .914 save percentage).

  • Devils' Nico Daws: Earns win in season debut

Daws stopped 29 of 30 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Wild.

If Matt Boldy hadn't recorded a third-period goal Thursday, Daws would've had a shutout in his first appearance of the 2025-26 campaign. Daws will continue to operate as the backup behind Jake Allen as long as Jakob Markstrom (lower body) remains out, so Daws' fantasy value will not only be minimal, but it will also be dependent on his matchup.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Another hard-luck defeat

Wolf stopped 26 of 28 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Canadiens.

For the second game in a row, Wolf did his best to limit the damage but didn't get enough scoring support from his teammates. He's now 1-5-1 on the year, but his individual performance has improved after a bumpy stretch early in the season. Wolf should continue seeing plenty of starts for the Flames, as he gives them their best chance to win. However, fantasy managers chasing wins will have a tough time getting them from the 24-year-old as long as Calgary's offense remains putrid. The Flames' next game is a challenging one on the road in Winnipeg on Friday.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Excellent in overtime win

Dobes stopped 36 of 37 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Flames.

Dobes had to deal with ample pressure from the Flames, but he held the fort well. The lone goal came off a turnover, which Adam Klapka was able to capitalize on. Dobes has won four straight games to open the year, allowing just six goals on 119 shots. While Sam Montembeault is still the Canadiens' presumptive starter, there's been no drop in play when head coach Martin St. Louis turns to Dobes. Montembeault will get the nod in the second half of the back-to-back in Edmonton on Thursday, and the Canadiens will complete the road trip with games in Vancouver on Saturday and in Seattle on Tuesday.

  • Dylan Garand G | NYR

Rangers' Dylan Garand: Earns shutout in first win

Garand posted a 28-save shutout in AHL Hartford's 3-0 win over Springfield on Wednesday.

Garand has started three of the Wolf Pack's four games so far and finally got his first win of the season. It was also the ninth shutout of his AHL career. Based on the early usage, and his 2.04 GAA and .931 save percentage to begin 2025-26, Garand might have the edge over Talyn Boyko should the Rangers need to make a call-up in the crease.
