Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Gets first win of season
Greaves made 22 saves in a 3-2 win over the Lightning on Saturday.
It was his first win of the season. Greaves is 1-2-0 with a 2.04 GAA and a .928 save percentage. Elvis Merzlikins is 1-1-0 with a 3.54 GAA and a .920 save percentage. So far, the team appears to be platooning the two men, but the crease will belong to Greaves at some point this season.

Juuse Saros G | NSH
Predators' Juuse Saros: Shaky against Winnipeg
Saros stopped 20 of 24 shots in a 4-1 loss to Winnipeg on Saturday.
In his worst start of the young season, Saros allowed two goals in each of the first and third periods. Given Winnipeg's dominance at home, this was a tough assignment for the Finnish netminder. After a subpar 2024-25 campaign, Saros had looked sharp in his first four starts this season -- he was 2-0-2 with a 1.94 GAA and .935 save percentage in 2025-26 before Saturday's action. The 30-year-old goaltender will look to get back on track in a much friendlier home matchup against Anaheim on Tuesday.

Connor Hellebuyck G | WPG
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Continues home dominance
Hellebuyck stopped 30 of 31 shots in Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Predators.
After a shaky start to the season, Hellebuyck is back in Vezina form. The 32-year-old was just 64 seconds away from picking up his first shutout of the season. He's been particularly dominant on home ice, where he posted a sparkling 27-3-3 record to go along with a 1.63 GAA in 33 regular-season games at the Canada Life Centre in 2024-25. Hellebuyck is a must-start in all formats every time he's between the pipes for Winnipeg.

Jonas Johansson G | TB
Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Takes loss Saturday
Johansson made 28 saves in a 3-2 loss to Columbus on Saturday.
He's now 1-1-0 with a 3.06 GAA and a .906 save percentage. Johansson has the Bolts' only win this season, and his counting stats are better than starter Andrei Vasilevskiy, who has a record of 0-2-2 with a 3.50 GAA and an .886 save percentage. That won't last for long, but it may give Johansson an extra start or two early this season.

Dan Vladar G | PHI
Flyers' Dan Vladar: Continues strong start with victory
Vladar stopped 15 of 16 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Wild.
Vladar has yet to allow more than two goals in his three starts so far this season, continuing that streak by limiting a Wild attack that mustered just 16 shots and scored once. His other two starts came against the reigning Stanley Cup champions in Florida. It's early, but the 28-year-old is certainly making his case to be the undisputed number one goaltender in Philadelphia; he's posted a 2-1-0 record, 1.65 GAA and a .934 save percentage against some tough competition. Still, Vladar will probably continue to alternate starts with Samuel Ersson for now.

Jesper Wallstedt G | MIN
Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Sharp despite defeat
Wallstedt stopped 19 of the 21 shots he faced during Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Flyers.
Wallstedt was sharp in his second start of the season. He faced just 21 shots from the Flyers, but many of them were high-quality chances, and he was up for the task almost every time. The 22-year-old continues to be the Wild's second goaltender behind starter Filip Gustavsson. Wallstedt has allowed five goals on 55 shots through two outings.

Jake Allen G | NJ
Devils' Jake Allen: Bags win over Oilers
Allen turned aside 27 shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over Edmonton.
The veteran netminder didn't get beaten until late in the second period, as the Devils never trailed in the contest. He has won two straight starts and has allowed just five goals on 76 shots in his last three appearances. Allen is handling No. 1 duties in the net due to the absence of Jacob Markstrom (lower body).
-
Calvin Pickard G | EDM
Oilers' Calvin Pickard: Burned by Devils
Pickard stopped 18 of 22 shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to New Jersey, with the Devils' fifth goal getting scored into an empty net.
After a scoreless first period, the Devils' offense got rolling with a Jack Hughes tally midway through the second, and the Oilers were never able to catch up. Pickard has started two of Edmonton's first five games while working behind Stuart Skinner in the crease, going 1-1-0 and allowing five goals on just 37 shots.

Linus Ullmark G | OTT
Senators' Linus Ullmark: Leads slips away Saturday
Ullmark made 18 saves in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Islanders.
The Senators took a 4-3 lead into the third period in a back-and-forth afternoon contest, but tallies by Kyle Palmieri and Anders Lee flipped the script, with Lee's coming 63 seconds before the end of regulation. Ullmark's had a rough start to the season, giving up four or more goals in three of five outings en route to a 2-3-0 record, 3.99 GAA and .848 save percentage.

Anton Forsberg G | LA
Kings' Anton Forsberg: Receiving starting nod
Forsberg will protect the home goal versus the Hurricanes on Saturday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.
Forsberg is off to a middling start this season, going 1-1-0 with eight goals allowed on 60 shots through two games. He'll be facing a Hurricanes team that has started this year 4-0-0, so this will be a tough assignment. Expect some low-event hockey between two teams known for maintaining strong defensive structures.
