  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Slated to start Saturday

Thompson is expected to defend the road blue paint in Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Thompson shut out the Maple Leafs in his last start Wednesday, stopping 22 shots. He is 29-21-6 with a 2.47 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 56 starts in 2025-26. The Capitals are generating 3.16 goals per game, 15th in the league this season.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

    Kraken's Joey Daccord: Being evaluated

Daccord missed Friday's practice and is being evaluated due to an undisclosed injury, per Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network.

Benton added that Daccord was sore after stopping 32 of 35 shots en route to a 4-3 shootout win over Vegas on Thursday. The 29-year-old Daccord has a 20-20-6 record, 3.03 GAA and .896 save percentage in 47 appearances this season. Seattle might find itself without Daccord, Philipp Grubauer (lower body) and Matt Murray (personal) for Saturday's home game against Calgary. In that scenario, Niklas Kokko would probably get the start, and the Kraken would need to recall another goaltender to serve as the understudy.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Set for conditioning stint

Kochetkov (hip) was assigned to AHL Chicago on Friday for a conditioning stint.

Kochetkov has been sidelined since Dec. 20 due to a hip injury that required surgery, but the Hurricanes have been optimistic that the netminder would be an option for the playoffs. The 26-year-old will have an opportunity to work with the AHL club late in the NHL regular season, which signals that he's progressing in his recovery and could be cleared to rejoin the Hurricanes at some point during postseason play.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Concedes four in loss

Saros stopped 23 of 27 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Mammoth.

Saros has dropped his last two starts, going 0-1-1 with a 2.89 GAA and an .891 save percentage in that span. The 30-year-old goaltender is ending the season on a sour note, posting a save percentage under the .900 mark in four of his past five appearances while delivering a 3.30 GAA over that stretch.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Extends winning streak

Vejmelka stopped 29 of 30 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Predators.

Vejmelka extended his winning streak to five games with an excellent performance, and this was his best individual outing since his shutout against the Golden Knights on March 19. The Mammoth clinched a playoff spot after this win, and Vejmelka has played a significant role in the team's recent rise. He owns a 2.80 GAA and an .898 save percentage during his ongoing five-game winning run.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Concedes four but earns win

Oettinger stopped 27 of 31 shots in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Wild.

Oettinger was beaten twice in the first period and twice more in the second, but three of those goals came when the Wild had the man advantage. The Stars mounted a late comeback, though, erasing a 3-1 deficit and later scoring twice in the third to complete the turnaround. Despite the win and his 4-1-0 record over his last five appearances, it's hard to get excited about Oettinger's recent performances. During that five-game stretch, the star netminder has posted a 2.79 GAA and an .869 save percentage, and the numbers look even more worrisome when factoring in that he posted a 22-save shutout against the Jets in that stretch. Oettinger and the Stars have a favorable matchup against the Rangers on Saturday.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Beaten five times Thursday

Gustavsson stopped 15 of 20 shots in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Stars.

Gustavsson faltered in one of the biggest games of the season for the Wild, as he posted a .750 save percentage and couldn't help Minnesota sustain its 4-3 lead in the final period. Gustavsson is ending the regular season on a sour note, as he's posted a save percentage under the .850 threshold in four of his last five appearances, going 2-3-0 with a 4.08 GAA in that span. Jesper Wallstedt could be in line for more playing time down the stretch given Gustavsson's recent struggles.

  • Devils' Nico Daws: Starter for Sunday

Daws will defend the home crease versus Ottawa on Sunday, according to Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.

Daws was recalled Friday from AHL Utica, where he was 15-16-8 with a 2.84 GAA and an .891 save percentage across 42 appearances. He won his only start in the NHL this season, stopping 30 shots in 4-1 win over Minnesota.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Set to miss rest of regular season

Head coach Sheldon Keefe announced Friday that Markstrom (undisclosed) will miss the remainder of the regular season to rest and rehab nagging injuries.

The Devils have been eliminated from postseason contention, and Markstrom will be shut down for the team's final three games of the year due to his lingering injuries. Across 44 appearances during the 2025-26 campaign, Markstrom went 23-19-1 with a 3.07 GAA and .883 save percentage. His ratios were his lowest marks since the 2014-15 campaign, but he'll attempt to bounce back next year, and he remains under contract with the Devils until 2027-28.

  • Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Questionable for Saturday

Lindgren (upper body) partook in a full practice Friday and is questionable for Saturday's tilt in Pittsburgh, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.

Lindgren was pummeled Sunday, allowing eight goals on 33 shots in an 8-1 loss to the Rangers. It was his first action since March 12, and the netminder was not in uniform Wednesday against the Maple Leafs. Head coach Spencer Carbery said Friday that Lindgren is still day-to-day. He is 9-8-3 with a 3.52 GAA and an .879 save percentage across 21 games this season.
