  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: In goal for Game 3

Markstrom will get the starting nod at home versus the Hurricanes in Game 3 on Friday, per NHL.com.

Markstrom has put up decent ratios in the previous two postseason contests, registering a 2.52 GAA and a .930 save percentage. Still, that hasn't stopped the veteran netminder from losing both outings and sliding into a four-game losing streak. If he can get some additional offensive support -- the Devils have scored just two goals in their two playoff contests -- Markstrom could break out of the loss column Friday.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Drops Game 3 in overtime

Ullmark stopped 17 of 20 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 3.

The Senators' playoff run is hanging by a thread -- a second straight overtime loss put them down 3-0 in the series. Ullmark did fairly well to keep his team in the battle Thursday, but Simon Benoit's tally 1:19 into overtime made that effort go to waste. Ullmark has allowed 12 goals on 65 shots over three contests this postseason. He'll likely get the nod again for Game 4 on Saturday as the Senators face the Herculean task of needing four straight wins to keep their playoffs going.

  • Eric Comrie G | WPG

Jets' Eric Comrie: Enters for mop-up duty

Comrie stopped two of three shots he faced in relief of Connor Hellebuyck in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Blues in Game 3.

Comrie gave up a goal to Colton Parayko after entering for mop-up duty in the blowout loss. Comrie isn't expected to play often in the postseason unless Hellebuyck is injured, though the occasional relief appearance could happen. Comrie was 9-10-1 with a 2.39 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 20 regular-season contests.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Pulled after allowing six goals

Hellebuyck stopped 19 of 25 shots in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Blues in Game 3.

Hellebuyck was pulled midway through the third period after allowing the sixth goal to Alexei Toropchenko. This outing ended Hellebuyck's six-game winning streak. He's had middling performances in the playoffs so far, allowing 10 goals on 64 shots over three games. He'll look to get back on track in Sunday's Game 4 on the road.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Victorious on home ice

Binnington stopped 16 of 18 shots in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Jets in Game 3.

After a couple of close losses in Winnipeg, the Blues bounced back with a big Game 3 win on home ice. Binnington wasn't tested all that much Thursday, and he's now allowed eight goals on 65 shots over three playoff contests. He'll likely be back between the pipes with a chance to even the series in Sunday's Game 4.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Makes relief appearance

Schmid stopped all nine shots he faced in relief of Adin Hill in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Wild in Game 3.

Schmid played the third period, and the only goal the Wild scored in that frame was an empty-netter. The 24-year-old has handled the backup duties in the playoffs over Ilya Samsonov. Schmid earned that role with three good starts in April while Samsonov was hurt. At this time, it doesn't look like Schmid is pushing to take over the starting role, but the Golden Knights are down 2-1 in the series and can ill afford another poor outing from Hill.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Pulled after two periods

Hill surrendered four goals on 21 shots over two periods of Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Wild in Game 3.

Hill gave up two of the goals on Wild power plays, and another came on a turnover, so it was another loss that isn't fully his fault. It's mildly interesting head coach Bruce Cassidy switched to Akira Schmid for the final frame, but it's unlikely to lead to a goalie controversy at this time. Hill has struggled behind an unusually sloppy defense so far, allowing 10 goals on just 57 shots over three playoff games. It's not a must-win game just yet, but Hill will need to be sharper in Saturday's Game 4.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Wins again in Game 3

Gustavsson stopped 30 of 32 shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 3.

Gustavsson has won each of the last two games with matching stat lines. The 26-year-old netminder's steady play between the pipes has helped the Wild take a somewhat surprising 2-1 series lead over the Golden Knights. Gustavsson will look to keep the momentum going in Minnesota's favor in Saturday's Game 4.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Third straight win

Stolarz made 18 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Senators in Game 3 on Thursday.

Claude Giroux and Brady Tkachuk both beat Stolarz, but he locked the proverbial door otherwise. He has shone this postseason, putting up three straight wins with a 1.95 GAA and .926 save percentage. Stolarz should remain in the crease for Game 4 on Saturday night.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Sharp in bounce back game

Vasilevskiy made 21 saves in a 2-0 loss to the Panthers on Thursday, allowing one goal.

He and Sergei Bobrovsky exchanged saves most of the night in a tight goalie duel. Nate Schmidt beat him in the first period on a one-timer from above the right circle. Vasilevskiy quite effectively bounced back after playing sieve Tuesday night (six goals on 16 shots) in Game 1.
