  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: In goal versus Rangers

Luukkonen will be between the pipes on the road against the Rangers on Wednesday, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.

Luukkonen has featured in four of the Sabres' last five contests, going 3-1-0 with a 2.22 GAA and .917 save percentage. While the 27-year-old netminder has already reached the 20-win threshold for the third straight year, he won't get anywhere close to playing 50 games as he did each of the prior two campaigns.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Taken down by Flyers

Markstrom turned aside 14 of 18 shots in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to Philadelphia, with the Flyers' final goal getting scored into an empty net.

It was a rough night for Markstrom and the Devils' defense, and a tough way to crash back to earth after the veteran netminder had shut out the Canadiens on Sunday. Markstrom has given up at least four goals in four of his last eight starts, going 4-4-0 over that stretch with a 3.15 GAA and .860 save percentage.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Beaten by Colorado

Hofer allowed three goals and made 34 saves in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche.

Hofer was coming off back-to-back wins, including a 3-2 victory over Colorado on Sunday, but he couldn't make it to three wins in a row. Despite the loss, Hofer continues to play at a high level. He has allowed three or fewer goals in seven of his last eight appearances, a stretch in which he's gone 5-2-1 with a 1.96 GAA and a .932 save percentage.

  • Alex Lyon G | BUF

Sabres' Alex Lyon: Battling lower-body injury

Lyon left Wednesday's morning skate due to a lower-body issue, per Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic.

Head coach Lindy Ruff described Lyon's injury as a tweak, meaning it could be a short-term issue. Ruff also said that Lyon wasn't going to dress against the Rangers on Wednesday anyway, so his injury won't impact Buffalo's plans. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is expected to start, while Colten Ellis will be the understudy.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Beaten once but stays hot

Wedgewood stopped 18 of 19 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Blues.

Wedgewood was well on his way to a shutout until Robert Thomas got one back for the Blues at the 15:38 mark of the third period. Still, Wedgewood is ending the season on a sizzling note. Tuesday/s performances is the fifth time in his last six outings that he posted a save percentage of at least .930. He's gone 9-2-1 with a 1.54 GAA and a .938 save percentage in 12 appearances since the Olympic break while solidifying himself as a top-tier option between the pipes this season.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Nabs third straight win

Vladar turned aside 23 shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Devils.

A Cody Glass tally midway through the first period spoiled his shutout bid, but Vladar delivered another strong effort. Vladar picked up his third straight win and 27th of the season, nearly doubling his prior career high. If the Flyers hang onto a playoff spot, the 28-year-old netminder will need to stay in top form. Over his last 10 starts, Vladar has gone 7-2-1 with a dazzling 1.98 GAA and .919 save percentage.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Hangs on for OT win

Bussi made 16 saves in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Bruins.

The Hurricanes looked like they were going to run away with the game after scoring three goals in just over three minutes early in the second period to take a 5-3 lead. However, Bussi still had work to do to secure his 30th win of the season. Carolina clinched the Metro Division title with the victory, and the team is four points clear of the top Atlantic clubs for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Bussi has won five straight starts despite a 2.99 GAA and .860 save percentage.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Posts 17 saves in OT win

Oettinger stopped 17 of 20 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames.

Oettinger was beaten three times between the 12:38 mark of the second period and the opening 30 seconds of the third frame. However, the star duo of Wyatt Johnston and Jason Robertson turned things around for Dallas, allowing Oettinger to win in back-to-back starts for the first time since a four-game winning run between March 10 and March 18. Oettinger might be slumping a bit of late according to his lofty standards, but he's still gone 6-2-1 with a 2.43 GAA and an .899 save percentage over his last 10 appearances.

  • Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Takes OTL in relief Tuesday

Korpisalo stopped 16 of 17 shots after replacing Jeremy Swayman midway through the second period of Tuesday's 6-5 overtime loss to Carolina.

Korpisalo was the better of Boston's two netminders on the night, but the loss goes on his record after the Bruins rallied from a 5-3 deficit. However, he still hasn't taken a regulation loss in over a month, going 2-0-4 in his last six outings with a 3.17 GAA and .890 save percentage.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Chased from crease Tuesday

Swayman gave up five goals on 23 shots before being replaced by Joonas Korpisalo midway through the second period of Tuesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.

Swayman avoided a loss after the Bruins rallied from a 5-3 deficit, but it was still a rough performance from the 27-year-old netminder. It was the first time Swayman allowed more than three goals in an outing since March 12. In his last 10 appearances, he's gone 5-3-1 with a 2.70 GAA and .910 save percentage.
