  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Another shutout Tuesday

Greaves turned aside all 29 shots he faced in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Flyers.

The 24-year-old netminder has become a folk hero in Columbus over the last week, winning four straight starts since being recalled from AHL Cleveland and allowing a total of only three goals on 123 shots, picking up two shutouts along the way. Greaves' hot streak has improbably kept the Blue Jackets alive in the playoff race, and they now need a regulation win in their regular-season finale Thursday against the Islanders -- plus a regulation loss by the Canadiens on Wednesday against the Hurricanes -- to claim the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. Regardless of the availability of Elvis Merzlikins (upper body), Greaves seems certain to get the start Thursday if the game still means something for Columbus.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Dazzles in pivotal win

Binnington stopped 22 of 23 shots in Tuesday's 6-1 win over Utah.

The Blues needed to win Tuesday to clinch a playoff spot, and while the offense did its part by scoring four times in the first period, Binnington delivered a solid showing as well by conceding just once. That was a step in the right direction after he had given up three or more goals in his previous three outings. The star goaltender ends the regular season with a 28-22-5 record across 56 starts, posting a 2.69 GAA (his best mark since the 2020-21 campaign) and a .900 save percentage. He's recorded a save percentage of at least .900 in six of his seven full seasons in the league.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Takes OT loss in season finale

Swayman stopped 21 shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Devils.

He didn't look good on a Simon Nemec tally in the second period, but otherwise Swayman was once again let down by his defense. The 26-year-old wraps up his first season as Boston's unquestioned No. 1 goalie with a 22-29-7 record, 3.11 GAA and .892 save percentage, and it remains to be seen whether the Bruins will embrace a youth movement this offseason, or try to bolster the roster around Swayman with veterans to provide a quicker fix.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Gives up six goals

Vejmelka stopped 23 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 6-1 loss to St. Louis.

Vejmelka was beaten four times in the first period, including thrice over a 6:37 stretch and twice on the power play, and Utah couldn't even sniff a comeback. Vejmelka settled down afterwards and only gave up two goals the rest of the way, but the damage was already done. This was Utah's final game of the regular season, and the team had been eliminated from playoff contention for quite some time. This means the 28-year-old ends the 2024-25 campaign with a 26-22-8 record and career-high marks in both GAA (2.58) and save percentage (.904) across 58 starts -- also a personal best.

  • Jake Allen G | NJ

Devils' Jake Allen: Hangs on for OT win

Allen made 20 saves in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Bruins.

The Devils held a 4-2 lead midway through the second period, but Allen couldn't stop the home squad from tying it up before the end of regulation. Brian Dumoulin scored the winner 90 seconds into OT to bail out his netminder, however. It was Allen's first win since March 17, snapping an 0-3-0 skid, and on the season he's 13-16-1 in 31 outings with a 2.66 GAA and .906 save percentage. The 34-year-old goalie will become a free agent this offseason, and he should draw interest from clubs looking for an experienced backup.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Stumbles in finale

Daccord allowed six goals on 24 shots in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Daccord had a terrible season finale, though it was part of a larger trend of struggles late in the year. He closed out the campaign with a three-game losing streak and allowed four or more goals in nine of his last 19 outings. Overall, he finished at a 27-23-5 record with a 2.75 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 57 appearances. That was a career high in games played, which happened because Philipp Grubauer was too unreliable to carve out steady playing time after December. With a contract extension kicking in for 2025-26, Daccord is likely to enter next season as the Kraken's No. 1 goalie.

  • Kings' David Rittich: Fades late but still wins

Rittich stopped 29 of 34 shots in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Kraken.

Rittich gave up the last three goals of the game, but the Kings had built up enough of a lead to withstand that damage. The 32-year-old has appeared in the last two games, so he should be ready to roll as the backup for the postseason, though it's unclear who the Kings will have in goal Thursday versus the Flames. Rittich improved to 16-13-2 with this win, but his GAA rose to 2.77 while his save percentage dropped to .888 over 33 appearances. Once the first-round series versus the Oilers begins, expect Darcy Kuemper to handle the lion's share of the starts.

  • Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Handed shootout loss

Samsonov allowed four goals on 28 shots in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Flames.

Samsonov returned to the crease after missing eight games, which suggests he's healthy heading into the postseason. That'll be a relief for the Golden Knights, though Adin Hill will likely get the majority of the starts at least to begin the playoffs. Samsonov has likely wrapped up his regular season in the first half of a back-to-back set. If that's the case, he'll close at 16-9-4 with a 2.82 GAA and an .891 save percentage over 29 appearances. One of Hill or Akira Schmid is likely to get the nod in Vancouver on Wednesday for the regular-season finale.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Wins in shootout

Wolf stopped 38 of 42 shots in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights.

While other results didn't go favorably for the Flames, they still found a way to get the win Tuesday. This was Wolf's third victory in a row. The 23-year-old netminder is now at 29-16-8 with a 2.64 GAA and a .910 save percentage through 53 appearances. Now that the Flames are out of playoff contention, it's not clear if Wolf will be given an opportunity to reach the 30-win mark in Thursday's finale in Los Angeles.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Among NHL's best in net

Vasilevskiy made 23 saves in a 5-1 win over the Panthers on Tuesday.

Vasy hasn't lost in regulation since April 3 (2-0-2). He's 38-20-5 in 63 starts this season, and his 2.18 GAA is the best of his career. Vasilevsky is fourth overall in GAA and save percentage (.921), and he sits second in shutouts (six). He will line up against Sergei Bobrovsky when the Bolts take on the Panthers in the first round.
