  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Sharp in OT loss

Ullmark made 18 saves in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Red Wings on Thursday.

Ullmark is coming off a restful Olympic break -- he didn't even watch the games. He looked sharp, which bodes well for the stretch run. Despite a below-average save percentage (.884), Ullmark has carried the Sens this season. According to Sportsnet.ca, the team has played at a 101-point pace with Ullmark in the paint. Without him, they've played at a 70-point pace.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Red Wings' John Gibson: Great start to stretch run

Gibson made 26 saves in a 2-1 overtime win over Ottawa on Thursday.

The only goal that beat Gibson came on a power play in the first period. He earned the game's first star for his work. It's a great start to the stretch run for the Wings after they had lost four of five (1-3-1) heading into the Olympic break. Gibson is 23-12-2 with four shutouts, 2.57 GAA and .905 save percentage in 38 starts this season. He also has one assist.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Set to start Thursday

Ingram is expected to start on the road against the Kings on Thursday, per Oilers TV reporter Paige Martin.

Ingram drew into Wednesday's 6-5 loss to Anaheim in relief of Tristan Jarry, stopping three of four shots in 12:41 of ice time. Ingram was also charged with the loss for allowing Anaheim's final goal. The 28-year-old has a 6-5-1 record, 2.70 GAA and .895 save percentage in 14 outings with Edmonton in 2025-26. The Kings will attempt to end their four-game losing streak (0-3-1). They've been outscored 17-9 over that stretch.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

    Flames' Dustin Wolf: Facing Sharks

Wolf will guard the road goal versus the Sharks on Thursday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Wolf is set to get the first game coming out of the Olympic break. The 24-year-old went 2-3-1 with 19 goals allowed on 164 shots over his six outings prior to the break, which saw him mostly alternate starts with Devin Cooley. One of his wins in that stretch was a 23-save performance at home versus the Sharks on Jan. 31.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Receiving start Thursday

Blackwood will guard the home goal versus the Wild on Thursday.

Blackwood will play the second half of a back-to-back after Scott Wedgewood earned a 4-2 win over the Mammoth on Wednesday. Prior to the Olympic break, Blackwood went 3-3-0 with 13 goals allowed on 150 shots over his previous six outings. He's been pretty good this season, but the Wild will be a tough test.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: On non-roster list

Binnington (not injury related) was put on the non-roster list Thursday, per the NHL media site.

Binnington is getting Thursday's home game against Seattle off after serving for Team Canada during the 2026 Winter Olympics. Joel Hofer is expected to get the start Thursday, while Georgi Romanov is up from AHL Springfield to serve as the understudy. Binnington might rejoin the Blues for Saturday's home game versus the Devils.

  • Blues' Georgi Romanov: Up from AHL

Romanov was called up by AHL Springfield on Thursday, per Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Romanov will serve as Joel Hofer's understudy for Thursday's home game against Seattle. Jordan Binnington is getting the game completely off after playing between the pipes in Canada's 2-1 overtime loss to Team USA on Sunday at the 2026 Winter Games. Romanov has a 3.37 GAA and an .893 save percentage in 24 outings with Springfield in 2025-26.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Backing up Thursday

Saros (not injury related) will back up Justus Annunen for Thursday's game versus the Blackhawks, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Saros was considered questionable to suit up, but it doesn't appear that he'll be hampered coming out of his time with Finland at the Olympics. The 30-year-old seems likely to start Saturday in Dallas.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Set to start Thursday

Annunen will protect the home goal versus the Blackhawks on Thursday.

Annunen will be backed up by Juuse Saros, who was deemed a game-time decision after participating in Finland's bronze-medal run at the Olympics. Annunen went 1-2-1 over his last five outings before the break, allowing 14 goals on 127 shots in that span.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Guarding goal Thursday

Grubauer will protect the road net versus the Blues on Thursday, Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Grubauer will handle the second half of a back-to-back set. The 34-year-old went 2-2 over four appearances for Germany during the Olympics. The Kraken had an unpredictable distribution of work between the pipes prior to the break, so it's not clear how Grubauer and Joey Daccord will share the crease moving forward just yet.
