  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Fourth straight loss

Annunen made 26 saves in a 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights on Saturday. The third goal was an empty-netter.

Annunen kept his team in contention, but Nashville's skaters couldn't muster much offensively against a solid Vegas defensive structure. He's 0-3-1 in his past four starts, and his last win came March 8 against Chicago. Annunen could be in line for more starts now that the Preds have been eliminated from playoff contention, but he's a risk, given the team in front of him.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Fifth straight win

Hill made 23 saves Saturday in a 3-1 win over the Predators.

Hill made back-to-back starts after an 18-save effort against Chicago on Friday. Ilya Samsonov (undisclosed) felt something tighten on him in the warmup, so the Golden Knights pivoted to Hill. The 28-year-old Hill has won five consecutive starts and hasn't lost in regulation since March 9. Since then, Hill has gone 6-0-1 in seven starts, posting one shutout. He's one win from recording his first 30-victory season in the NHL and has a 2.46 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Decent in fifth straight loss

Swayman stopped 20 of 22 shots in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Red Wings.

Swayman lost his fifth straight game, but there was a small glimmer of hope -- he was able to allow fewer than four goals for the first time during the skid. Boston's offense hasn't scored more than two goals in any of the last seven games, which gives Swayman almost no safety net to work with. He's now at a 20-26-6 record with a 3.10 GAA and an .893 save percentage over 52 outings. Fantasy managers may want to avoid the 26-year-old for the Bruins' next game against the Capitals on Tuesday.

  • Cam Talbot G | DET

Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Steady in win

Talbot stopped 20 of 21 shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Bruins.

Talbot ended his six-game losing streak, though the Bruins are the worst team he's faced in a while. The 37-year-old had allowed at least four goals in four of those six losses, all of which came in regulation. Talbot is now at an 18-17-3 record with a 2.94 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 40 appearances. He'll likely handle the starting duties while Petr Mrazek (head) is sidelined. The Red Wings visit the surging Blues on Tuesday, so no Detroit goalie is a good play in fantasy for that contest.

  • Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Dealing with injury concern

Samsonov had something tighten up on him during warmups, which is why he did not make his anticipated start Saturday versus the Predators, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Samsonov started the game on the bench where the backup goalie would usually sit, but he left midway through the second period, Webster adds. This leaves Samsonov's status in doubt ahead of Tuesday's game versus the Oilers, though that's likely one Adin Hill would start anyway. If Samsonov can't dress, the Golden Knights will need to make a move to call up a goaltender.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: In goal again Saturday

Daccord will start at home versus the Stars on Saturday, per Emerald City Hockey.

Daccord will start for the fourth game in a row. He's gone 1-1-1 with nine goals allowed over his last three outings. Saturday's matchup is the first of two in a row for the Kraken against the Stars. The visitors come into this matchup on a four-game winning streak with 15 goals scored in that span, so Daccord will likely get challenged significantly in this contest.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Three straight losses

Sorokin made 19 saves in a 5-3 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.

The Bolts put up a 4-0 lead on Sorokin, but he wasn't all to blame. Even Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said postgame that his team probably didn't deserve that lead. Sorokin hasn't won since March 20 (0-2-1) and has allowed 11 goals in that span. Still, he's the reason the Isles are just one point behind the Blue Jackets for the second wild card in the Eastern Conference. Sorokin will likely be in the blue paint almost every night as the team claws away at a playoff spot, but Marcus Hogberg will start Sunday's road game versus Carolina.

  • Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Difference-maker in win

Johansson made 35 saves in a 5-3 win over the Islanders on Saturday.

It was a tight contest, and Johansson shut the door with some big saves in the third period, especially on the 6-on-5 at the end of the game. He has appeared in three games in March, delivering a 2-0-1 record with eight goals allowed. It's tough for him to get into a groove when he plays sporadic minutes, but that could change down the stretch, depending on Tampa Bay's playoff positioning. The Bolts will do what they can to rest Vasilevskiy heading into the postseason, and that means Johansson could be front and center in the blue paint.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Slated starter Saturday

Quick is expected to start on the road against San Jose on Saturday, according to Max Miller of NHL.com.

Quick is making his first start since March 9, when he stopped 21 of 28 shots en route to a 7-3 loss to Columbus. He's 9-6-2 with a 3.14 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 21 outings with New York in 2024-25. The Sharks rank 30th in goals per game with 2.62.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Surprise starter Saturday

Despite Ilya Samsonov leading Vegas out for the pregame warmups, Hill is expected to start on the road against Nashville on Saturday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Typically, the goaltender who leads the team out for warmups gets the start, but that won't be the case in this instance. Vegas' decision to give Hill the nod is surprising because he also started Friday, turning aside 18 of 21 shots en route to a 5-3 win over Chicago, so he'll be playing in back-to-back nights. The 28-year-old has a 28-11-5 record with a 2.49 GAA and a .907 save percentage across 44 appearances this campaign. The Predators rank last in goals per game this season with 2.54.
