Red Wings' Alex Lyon: Earns win Monday

Lyon guarded the Red Wings' crease for the first time since March 6 despite not being announced as the starter, as he replaced Petr Mrazek (undisclosed) in the first period. Lyon could see a heavier workload if Mrazek remains sidelined, though Cam Talbot is also on the roster as another goaltending option. Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Falls short in shootout
Sorokin turned aside 27 shots in regulation and overtime and two of three shootout attempts in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.
The Islanders grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first period but watched it trickle away over the final 40 minutes of regulation, and Sorokin then got beaten by Adam Fantilli for the only successful attempt in the shootout. Sorokin's still put together a strong month of March, allowing three goals or fewer in nine straight starts and going 5-2-2 over that stretch with a 2.42 GAA and .920 save percentage to keep the Isles in the playoff picture.

Over 13 career games versus the Caps, Hellebuyck owns a 6-5-2 record, .920 save percentage and 2.36 GAA.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Posts 32-save shutout
Oettinger stopped all 32 shots he faced during Monday's 3-0 win over Minnesota.
Oettinger got back on track with this dazzling performance after posting a 2-2-1 record, a 3.59 GAA and a .865 save percentage over his previous five starts. This was Oettinger's second shutout of the season, and the Stars need their star netminder to be at his best if they're going to make a deep playoff run.

Elvis Merzlikins G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Hangs on for shootout win Monday
Merzlikins stopped 30 shots in regulation and overtime and all three shootout attempts he faced in Monday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.
New York took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission, but Merzlikins kept his focus and gave Columbus a chance to rally, and he even picked up an assist on the Adam Fantilli tally that got the Blue Jackets on the board. It was the 30-year-old netminder's first win since March 1, snapping an 0-5-1 stretch in which Merzlikins had posted a 3.55 GAA and .891 save percentage.

Anton Forsberg G | LA
Senators' Anton Forsberg: Set to face Buffalo
Forsberg is expected to start on the road against Buffalo on Tuesday, per TSN 1200 Ottawa.

Filip Gustavsson G | MIN
Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Tagged with loss Monday
Gustavsson stopped 26 of 28 shots in Monday's 3-0 loss to the Stars. The third goal was an empty-netter in the final minute of the third period.
Gustavsson looked decent between the pipes against one of the best teams in the Western Conference and limited the damage to just two goals, but the offense didn't provide him any kind of support. As a result, the 26-year-old netminder saw the end of his three-game winning streak, but he continues to play at a high level. He's posted a save percentage above .900 in six of his last seven outings, going 4-2-1 with a 1.70 GAA and a .939 save percentage over that stretch.
