  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Inks three-year contract extension

Bussi signed a three-year, $5.7 million contract extension with the Hurricanes on Monday.

Bussi has had a strong start to his NHL career during the 2025-26 campaign after being claimed off waivers from the Panthers, going 23-3-1 with a 2.16 GAA and .906 save percentage over 27 appearances to begin the year. His extension will keep him under contract with Carolina through the 2028-29 season.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Beaten once Sunday

Hellebuyck stopped 23 of 24 shots in the United States' 5-1 win over Germany on Sunday in the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Hellebuyck made 17 saves in the 5-1 win over Latvia on Thursday and posted another impressive effort this time against Germany. Expect the Jets' netminder to remain the No. 1 option for Team USA in the knockout stages.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Makes 17 saves in loss to Denmark

Silovs made 17 saves in Latvia's 4-2 loss to Denmark on Sunday at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. He allowed three goals.

Silovs finished the preliminary round with a 1-1-0 record, 3.01 GAA and .873 save percentage. He has allowed seven goals and has played 139:44, the second-most in the Olympics after Juuse Saros. Silovs, who backstopped Latvia to its first Olympic win since 2014 earlier in the competition, will likely be in the blue paint Tuesday in a tough matchup against Sweden in the qualification playoffs.

  • Red Wings' Sebastian Cossa: Notches fifth shutout

Cossa posted a 26-save shutout in AHL Grand Rapids' 5-0 win over Texas on Sunday.

Cossa improved to 21-4-2 with five shutouts, a 1.92 GAA and a .930 save percentage in 27 games this season. He went just 3-3-1 in January, but he's bounced back with three straight wins to start February. Given Cossa's improvements this season in his third AHL campaign, the 23-year-old is likely ready to compete for a full-time NHL gig in 2026-27.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Gets Denmark's first Games win

Andersen made 33 saves for Denmark on Sunday in a 4-2 win over Latvia at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

It was Denmark's first win of the Games and first at an Olympics involving NHL players. Andersen put up a strong performance, and he will likely be in net Tuesday when Denmark faces Czechia in the qualification playoffs.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Cruises to win Sunday

Binnington made 12 saves in Canada's 10-2 rout of France during Olympic round-robin play Sunday.

Canada never trailed in the game after Tom Wilson opened the scoring midway through the first period, and Binnington wasn't terribly busy as his teammates out-shot France 46-14. The St. Louis netminder finished the round robin with a 2-0 record and a .950 save percentage, and he'll get a couple days off before Canada faces the winner of Tuesday's Czechia-Denmark tilt in the quarterfinals Wednesday.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Facing Germany

Hellebuyck will guard the Team USA goal against Germany on Sunday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, according to Nick Cotsonika of NHL.com.

He made 17 saves in Thursday's 5-1 win over Latvia. Hellebuyck was Jeremy Swayman's backup in Saturday's 6-3 victory over Denmark.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Returning to Olympic net

Andersen will start Sunday's Olympic round-robin game in goal against Latvia.

It will be the second start of the Olympics for Andersen. The 36-year-old started Denmark's first group play game against Germany, stopping 23 of the 26 shots that he faced. With the team on the front end of a back-to-back Saturday, Andersen got the game off, but he is returning to the net Sunday.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Tending twine Sunday

Silovs will patrol the crease for Latvia against Denmark on Sunday at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Silovs is coming off a 26-save performance in Saturday's 4-3 win over Germany. He has a 1-1-0 record with a 3.00 GAA and an .886 save percentage through two appearances in the tournament.

  • Mads Sogaard G | OTT

Senators' Mads Sogaard: Not dressed Sunday

Sogaard (lower body) is not dressed for Sunday's Olympic round-robin game against Latvia.

Sogaard left Denmark's last game midway through the third period while facing a heavy workload against Team USA. The 25-year-old likely wouldn't have started Sunday anyway -- Frederik Andersen is expected to start against Latvia -- but it's notable that Sogaard isn't even dressed for the contest. It remains to be seen whether this injury will affect Sogaard's availability for the Senators coming out of the Olympic break.
