Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Practices Sunday
Pettersson (knee) was a full participant in Sunday's practice, and he expects to play against Florida on Tuesday, according to Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.
Pettersson left Saturday's 5-2 loss to Seattle after slamming into the boards. However, he declared himself good to go after Sunday's practice. Pettersson has two goals, eight points, 37 shots on net, 72 blocked shots and 105 hits over 56 appearances this season.

Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Out of lineup Sunday
Wennberg (upper body) did not take the ice for warmups and won't play Sunday against the Senators, the team announced.
Wennberg's absence comes as a bit of a surprise after he finished Saturday's game against the Canadiens and recorded an assist in 16:45 of ice time. The 31-year-old is in the midst of one of his best seasons, registering 43 points (13 goals, 30 assists) in 64 games. The Sharks will next be in action Tuesday in Edmonton, and it remains to be seen whether Wennberg will be available for that game.

Maple Leafs' Henry Thrun: Summoned from AHL
Thrun was recalled from AHL Toronto on Sunday under emergency conditions.
Thrun has four goals and 20 points in 42 AHL appearances this season. He hasn't earned a point in four NHL outings this campaign while posting four shots on net, four blocked shots and three hits. With Oliver Ekman-Larsson (personal) unavailable to play against Minnesota on Sunday, Thrun will provide the Maple Leafs with some defensive depth. However, Thrun could be a healthy scratch against the Wild if Troy Stecher draws into the lineup

Ekman-Larsson (personal) won't play against Minnesota on Sunday.
Ekman-Larsson has returned to Toronto for the birth of his child. He has produced eight goals, 35 points, 94 shots on net, 61 blocked shots and 75 hits across 65 appearances this season. The Maple Leafs recalled Henry Thrun from AHL Toronto on Sunday under emergency conditions to provide the team with some additional depth.

Oilers' Ty Emberson: Not playing Sunday
Emberson (undisclosed) participated in the morning skate, but he won't play against Nashville on Sunday, per Jamie Umbach of the Oilers' official site.
Emberson could return "within the week," according to head coach Kris Knoblauch, but it's unclear if the 25-year-old defenseman will be ready to play against San Jose on Tuesday. Emberson has registered two goals, 12 points, 37 shots on net, 97 blocked shots and 88 hits across 60 appearances this season.

Chernyshov (upper body) won't play Sunday against the Senators, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
Chernyshov left Saturday's game against the Canadiens early after taking a hit on his first shift and didn't return. He'll be held out for at least one game, as he won't play Sunday. The 20-year-old has 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 16 games on the season. In his absence, Pavol Regenda will draw into the lineup.

Maple Leafs' Artur Akhtyamov: Inks three-year extension
Akhtyamov signed a three-year, $2.7 million contract extension with Toronto on Sunday.
Akhtyamov has gone 18-10-4 with a 2.86 GAA and a .904 save percentage across 32 AHL outings this season. The 24-year-old netminder also made his NHL debut against Edmonton on Dec. 13, stopping all five of the shots he faced in a relief appearance.

Sharks' Laurent Brossoit: Returns to NHL net
Brossoit will get the start in goal for Sunday's contest against the Senators, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
It will be the first NHL start for Brossoit since April of 2024. Since then, the 32-year-old has battled injuries and spent some time in the minors since a midseason trade from Chicago. He's finally back in an NHL crease for the Sharks, who are on the second of a back-to-back and still without Yaroslav Askarov (lower body). Brossoit has an 11-2-1 record with a 2.48 GAA and a .915 save percentage with AHL San Jose.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Starting again Sunday
Ullmark will patrol the home crease against San Jose on Sunday, according to Julian McKenzie of The Athletic.
Ullmark is coming off a 23-save performance in Saturday's 2-0 shutout win over Anaheim. He has a 20-9-7 record this campaign with two shutouts, a 2.77 GAA and an .886 save percentage across 37 appearances. San Jose sits 18th in the league with 3.09 goals per game this campaign.

Ducks' John Carlson: Expected to make Ducks debut
Carlson (lower body) is set to make his Ducks debut Sunday against the Canadiens.
Carlson has been out with a lower-body injury since the start of the post-Olympic schedule. Despite that, he was traded from the only team he has ever known in the Capitals to the Ducks. He is finally set to make his Anaheim debut Sunday in Montreal. The 36-year-old has 46 points (10 goals, 36 assists) in 55 games on the season. He will likely see high usage in a top-four role and quarterback Anaheim's top power-play unit.
