  • Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Still out Friday

Teravainen (upper body) won't play Friday versus the Lightning, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio reports.

Teravainen is set to miss his fifth straight game. It's unclear when he will be ready to return, as it hasn't been reported that he's back on the ice yet, and he has no established timeline. The 31-year-old's next chance to play is Sunday versus the Panthers.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Guarding goal in Toronto

Hill is set to start on the road versus the Maple Leafs on Friday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Hill has allowed seven goals on 45 shots while going 1-1-0 in two games since he returned from a lower-body injury. The Maple Leafs have lost four of their last five games (1-2-2), scoring 14 goals in that span. Hill was between the pipes for Vegas' 6-5 overtime win over Toronto on Jan. 15.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Set to start Friday

Soderblom will protect the home goal versus the Lightning on Friday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.

Soderblom has gone 2-4-0 over his last seven games, allowing 29 goals in that span. The 26-year-old's getting the starting nod in the second half of a back-to-back after Spencer Knight won in a shootout, 4-3, over the Hurricanes on Thursday. The Lightning have scored 23 goals over their last six games, winning five of them.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Starting Friday

Vasilevskiy will guard the road goal versus the Blackhawks on Friday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.

Vasilevskiy is 10-0-1 with a 1.97 GAA and a .917 save percentage over his last 11 games. The Blackhawks have won three of their last six games while scoring 12 goals in that span.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Starting against New Jersey

Lankinen will defend the home crease against the Devils on Friday, Olivia McDonald of CanucksInsider.com reports.

Lankinen hasn't been particularly sharp since the start of the calendar year, going 1-4-1 with a 3.32 GAA and .893 save percentage over his last seven outings. He'll have a favorable matchup against the Devils, who are scoring 2.56 goals per game this season, which is the third-worst mark in the NHL.

  • Blackhawks' Jason Dickinson: Set to return Friday

Dickinson (illness) is good to play Friday versus Tampa Bay, per Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio.

Dickinson was a late scratch for Thursday's game against Carolina, but it seems that will be the extent of the time he'll miss due to the illness. His return might lead to Colton Dach being a healthy scratch Friday. Dickinson has six goals and 10 points in 36 outings in 2025-26.

  • Maple Leafs' Dennis Hildeby: Shipped down to minors

Hildeby was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Friday.

Hildeby's demotion comes as Anthony Stolarz (upper body) returns to the crease against Vegas on Friday. With Toronto having a full complement of healthy backstops for the first time this season, the 24-year-old Hildeby was the odd man out, and he figures to spend the rest of the season in the minors -- unless another problem comes up for one of the Leafs' backstops.

  • Matt Benning D | TOR

Maple Leafs' Matt Benning: Sent to minors

Benning was assigned to AHL Toronto on Friday.

Benning was called up by the Maple Leafs on Dec. 30, but he appeared in just one game during his time with the NHL club. He should have more consistent opportunities to see playing time with the Marlies.

  • Lightning's Scott Sabourin: Off IR, sent to AHL

Sabourin (undisclosed) has been activated off injured reserve and reassigned to AHL Syracuse, the team announced Friday.

Sabourin hasn't played since Dec. 28, so the move to the minors will give him a chance to shake off the rust before potentially getting another promotion later in the campaign. He has a goal, three points, 63 PIM and 15 hits in nine outings with Tampa Bay in 2025-26.

  • Ducks' Mason McTavish: Returns home

McTavish (upper body) traveled back to Anaheim but could still rejoin the team on the road after head coach Joel Quenneville told reporters Friday, "He's doing better, so I don't know if he's gonna return on this trip, but we're hopeful that he can make it back," Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.

With a back-to-back set Sunday and Monday, it seems likely that McTavish will miss at least the next three games despite Quenneville leaving the door open. Considering his recovery timeline, the center could be a strong candidate for injured reserve if the Ducks need the roster spot.
