  • Jacob Bryson D | WPG

Sabres' Jacob Bryson: Moved to IR

Bryson (upper body) was designated for injured reserve Friday, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.

Bryson finds himself facing a second long-term stint on the sidelines after he missed nine games earlier in the year while in the concussion protocol. Considering the blueliner has just two points in his last 22 outings and has periodically served as a healthy scratch, few fantasy managers are likely to be impacted by his absence. With the available roster spot, the Sabres called up Zac Jones from the minors.

  • Zac Jones D | BUF

Sabres' Zac Jones: Rejoins NHL club

Jones was recalled from AHL Rochester on Friday, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.

Jones spent just over a week in the minors, but he'll rejoin Buffalo after Jacob Bryson (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Friday. Jones hasn't yet appeared in a game for the NHL club this year, but he leads Rochester in points, with six goals and 31 assists across 32 games.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Guarding road goal

Dostal is set to start on the road against Seattle on Friday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports.

Dostal has won his past four games while stopping 109 of 116 shots (.940 save percentage). It's a good stretch in what has been an underwhelming campaign for him overall. Dostal has a 17-12-2 record, 3.04 GAA and .894 save percentage in 33 outings this season. Seattle is 2-4-2 over its past eight games to drop to 22-18-9 overall, but the Kraken are coming off a 4-1 victory over the Islanders on Wednesday.

  • Rangers' Spencer Martin: First off ice Friday

Martin was the first goaltender off the ice at morning skate and is slated to patrol the road crease in San Jose on Friday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.

Martin will get the start in net for the third time in the Rangers' last four games. He is 1-1-0 with a 4.11 GAA and an .848 save percentage over four outings this season. The Rangers are struggling without Igor Shesterkin (lower body), who has been out of action since Jan. 5. The Sharks are generating 3.08 goals per game, tied for 17th in the league this season.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Expected to face Anaheim

Grubauer is expected to start at home against Anaheim on Friday, per Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network.

Grubauer stopped 24 of 25 shots in a 4-1 win over the Islanders on Wednesday. He improved to 10-4-3 with a 2.37 GAA and a .919 save percentage in 19 outings this campaign. He'll be facing Anaheim at a time when the squad is hot. The Ducks have won their past five games, though they've averaged a modest 2.60 goals per game over that stretch.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Slated to start Friday

Markstrom is in the starter's crease at morning practice and is expected to defend the road cage in Vancouver on Friday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Markstrom is 3-1-0 over his last four starts, allowing nine goals on 97 shots. He is 13-11-1 with a 3.27 GAA and an .882 save percentage across 26 appearances this season. The Canucks are having trouble finding the back of the net this season, averaging 2.58 goals per game, 28th in the NHL.

  • Blues' Oskar Sundqvist: Moved to IR

Sundqvist (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Even with a retroactive IR designation, Sundqvist will need to miss at least the next two games, though it could certainly be longer. At this point, given the reported severity of the cut above his ankle, Sundqvist may be shut down through the Olympic break, though the Blues haven't offered a specific timeline yet.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Tending twine Friday

Nedeljkovic is slated to guard the home cage versus the Rangers on Friday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Nedeljkovic is sharing the net with Yaroslav Askarov, and it's doing Nedeljkovic a world of good, as he has won his last four starts, giving up nine goals on 115 shots (.922 save percentage) during that stretch. Overall, he is 9-8-2 with a 2.96 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 22 appearances this season. The Rangers are 27th in NHL scoring, generating 2.67 goals per game.

  • Blues' Mathieu Joseph: Returning against Stars

Joseph (elbow) will be in the lineup versus Dallas on Friday, Andy Strickland of FanDuel Sports Network reports.

Joseph is back following a seven-game absence due to his elbow injury, replacing Nathan Walker in a bottom-six role. The 28-year-old Joseph is currently stuck in a 21-game goal drought during which he has generated just 10 shots, though he did chip in four helpers. Unless Joseph starts shooting the puck more, he's going to be hard-pressed to break out of his slump.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Tending twine Friday

Binnington will defend the road crease against Dallas on Friday, Andy Strickland of FanDuel Sports Network reports.

Binnington has struggled over his last three starts, going 0-3-0 with a 5.03 GAA and .828 save percentage during that time. He made a home start against the Stars on Oct. 18 and turned aside 18 of 19 shots (.947 save percentage) in a 3-1 victory.
