Anthony Duclair LW | NYI
Islanders' Anthony Duclair: Tallies on power play in loss
Duclair scored a power-play goal, added two PIM and went minus-3 in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Kraken.
Duclair's barrage of goals continues -- he has five of them over the last five games, accounting for nearly half of the Islanders' 12 goals in that span. The 30-year-old got the scoring started 2:38 into the game, but it was all Kraken after that. Duclair is up to 12 goals, 23 points, 62 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 47 appearances. He's worth rostering in fantasy as long as his offense is hot.

Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Takes loss in Seattle
Sorokin stopped 21 of 24 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Kraken. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
The Islanders scored first, but they only scored once, giving Sorokin insufficient support. The 30-year-old netminder has won four of his last six outings, but he's given up at least three goals in four of those games. He's now at a 16-12-2 record with a 2.51 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 30 starts. He still has a heavy workload, which fantasy managers could be satisfied with, but the results have been inconsistent lately. The Islanders' next game is at home Saturday versus the Sabres.

Kaapo Kakko RW | SEA
Kraken's Kaapo Kakko: Finds twine in win
Kakko scored a goal and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
Kakko has remained fairly steady throughout January. He has three goals and seven assists over 12 contests, only one of which was a multi-point effort. The winger is up to a total of five goals, 18 points, 48 shots on net, 18 hits and a plus-2 rating across 33 appearances. He's currently on the third line, which may suppress his scoring contributions for a while.

Matty Beniers C | SEA
Kraken's Matty Beniers: Strikes on power play in win
Beniers scored a power-play goal on five shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
Beniers continues to play well in January -- he has earned seven goals and four assists over 12 outings this month. For the season, he's up to 11 goals, 32 points (10 on the power play), 93 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 49 appearances. Beniers remains on pace for a 50-point campaign, a threshold he hasn't reached since his rookie year in the 2022-23 regular season.

Jared McCann C | SEA
Kraken's Jared McCann: Produces pair of points
McCann scored an empty-net goal on three shots and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
McCann had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two games. This was his third multi-point outing in his last nine contests. The 29-year-old has been productive when healthy this season, collecting 11 goals, 21 points (nine on the power play), 61 shots on net and a minus-2 rating over 25 appearances. Injuries will cost him the chance at a fourth straight 60-point campaign, but his current pace is in line with that level of production.

Vince Dunn D | SEA
Kraken's Vince Dunn: Picks up pair of points
Dunn scored a goal on four shots and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
Dunn was involved in the Kraken's first two goals, with his tally standing as the game-winner. He had gone eight games without scoring, though he still had eight helpers in that span. The 29-year-old defenseman is up to seven goals, 31 points (17 on the power play), 106 shots on net, 54 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-18 rating over 48 appearances. His recent offense is a showcase of what he can do at his peak, so Dunn should be in most fantasy lineups.

Philipp Grubauer G | SEA
Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Back in win column Wednesday
Grubauer allowed one goal on 25 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
Grubauer had lost his last two outings, giving up eight goals on 56 shots in those contests. The 34-year-old bounced back well Wednesday, limiting the Islanders to an Anthony Duclair power-play goal just 2:38 into the game. Grubauer is up to 10-4-3 with a 2.37 GAA and a .919 save percentage over 19 appearances. The Kraken's next game is Friday at home versus the Ducks, which will likely be a start for Joey Daccord.

Zach Whitecloud D | CGY
Flames' Zach Whitecloud: Earns first assist with new team
Whitecloud logged an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Penguins.
Whitecloud has essentially replaced the man he was traded for, Rasmus Andersson, in the Flames' lineup. Through two games with the Flames, Whitecloud is averaging 23:04 of ice time, 4:08 higher than he was seeing with the Golden Knights. He's at eight points, 37 shots on net, 66 blocked shots, 74 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 49 appearances this season. Whitecloud has minimal offensive upside, but his production could take a step up if his ice time remains higher with his new team.

Yegor Sharangovich C | CGY
Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Nets lone goal in loss
Sharangovich scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Penguins.
Sharangovich got the Flames on the board late in the second period, but the momentum didn't carry over to the third. He's scored three goals and added three assists over his last five outings for one of his best runs of the season. The 27-year-old forward is now at 11 goals, 20 points, 87 shots on net and a minus-14 rating through 46 appearances. Sharangovich is a viable offense-only option in deeper formats while he's running hot.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Yields four goals in loss
Wolf stopped 21 of 25 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Penguins.
Wolf has slipped into a timeshare over the last week or so amid a rough stretch that has seen him lose six of his past seven starts. He's given up four goals in each loss in that span. For the season, the 24-year-old netminder is down to 15-20-2 with a 3.00 GAA and an .898 save percentage. If the workload pattern continues, Devin Cooley would likely start Friday against the Capitals, while Wolf could be tentatively in line for a home start versus the Ducks on Sunday.
