Nicolas Hague D | NSH
Predators' Nicolas Hague: Remains sidelined
Hague (upper body) is unavailable for Monday's home matchup versus San Jose, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.
Hague's last chance to return to the lineup in the regular season will be Thursday versus the Ducks. The left-shot blueliner's injury is seemingly not a minor one, as Monday's matchup has major playoff implications.

Nils Lundkvist D | DAL
Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Still shelved Monday
Lundkvist (illness) will miss Monday's road matchup against the Maple Leafs, per the NHL Media Site.
Lundkvist will miss his third consecutive game Monday with an illness. Across 51 contests this season, the 25-year-old blueliner has eight assists, 11 points, 46 shots on net, 26 hits and 47 blocked shots. His last chance to return to the Stars' lineup prior to the playoffs is Wednesday's road game in Buffalo.

Cam Talbot G | DET
Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Tending twine Monday
Talbot will start Monday's road game against the Lightning, per the NHL Media Site.
Talbot will look to earn his first win since March 2 after losing or drawing no result in each of his last six appearances. Overall, the 38-year-old netminder has a 12-9-5 record, a 3.07 GAA and an .888 save percentage across 32 outings this season. With the Red Wings eliminated from postseason contention, Monday's start has the potential to be Talbot's last outing of the season. He'll face off against an elite offense in Tampa Bay, which ranks fourth in the NHL with 3.50 goals per game.

Mason Appleton C | DET
Red Wings' Mason Appleton: Still out of lineup
Appleton (upper body) is not playing in Monday's road game against the Lightning, per the NHL media site.
Appleton has already missed five straight games, as he hasn't been in the lineup since April 2 in Philadelphia. Considering Detroit has been eliminated from postseason contention, it would not be surprising to see Appleton remain sidelined for the team's final game of 2025-26 against the Panthers on Wednesday.

Jonas Johansson G | TB
Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Unavailable Monday
Johansson (undisclosed) will not be an option for Monday's home game against Detroit and is day-to-day, according to Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site.
Emergency backup goaltender Kyle Konin will serve as the No. 2 option behind Andrei Vasilevskiy on Monday. Tampa Bay's final regular-season game is at home Wednesday versus the Rangers.

Pyotr Kochetkov G | CAR
Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Returns to NHL
Kochetkov was recalled by the Hurricanes from AHL Chicago on Monday.
After his conditioning stint in the AHL, Kochetkov is set to join the Hurricanes for the first time since sustaining his hip injury in late December. The 26-year-old netminder would have to be activated from injured reserve before returning to action, but his recall from a conditioning loan suggests that could happen in the coming days. When healthy, he has played decently well with a 6-2-0 record, a 2.33 GAA and an .899 save percentage across nine appearances this season. If he's activated Tuesday, he'll have the chance to appear in Carolina's regular-season finale versus the Islanders for a tune-up game before potentially playing a sizable role in the team's goalie rotation for the playoffs.

Felix Unger Sorum RW | CAR
Hurricanes' Felix Unger Sorum: Promoted from AHL
Unger Sorum was recalled from AHL Chicago on Monday.
Unger Sorum has yet to make his NHL debut, and that won't happen Monday since the 20-year-old is not with the team for its game in Philadelphia, per Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site. However, there's a strong chance he'll draw into the lineup Tuesday against the Islanders. Unger Sorum has been excellent in the AHL this season, generating 16 goals, 63 points and a plus-9 rating over 69 appearances.

Nazem Kadri C | COL
Avalanche's Nazem Kadri: Won't play Tuesday
Kadri (finger) won't play against Calgary on Tuesday, according to Eric Francis of Sportsnet.
Kadri will miss his third straight game against Edmonton on Monday, and he won't be available to face his former Calgary teammates in the second half of Colorado's back-to-back Tuesday. Kadri sustained a broken finger in last Tuesday's 3-1 win over St. Louis. Colorado may sit him again for Thursday's regular-season finale against Seattle to get him ready for the start of the playoffs.

Matt Villalta G | UTA
Mammoth's Matt Villalta: Sent back to minors
Villalta was reassigned to AHL Tucson on Monday, per Cole Bagley of KSL Sports.
Villalta will return to Tucson after serving as Vitek Vanecek's backup in the absence of Karel Vejmelka (undisclosed) in Sunday's game versus the Flames. Across 33 outings with the Roadrunners this season, Villalta has a 16-12-3 record, a 3.10 GAA and an .895 save percentage. With Tucson's next game not until Wednesday, Villalta's return to the AHL indicates that Vejmelka might be ready to play in the Mammoth's contest versus the Jets on Tuesday. If not, Villalta could return to the NHL club Tuesday to serve behind Vanecek once more.

David Reinbacher D | MON
Canadiens' David Reinbacher: Picks up assist in NHL debut
Reinbacher notched an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
This was Reinbacher's NHL debut, and he saw 11:17 of ice time. The Canadiens tend to shelter their third-pairing defensemen, so don't expect Reinbacher to get many minutes even if he's able to stay in the lineup during the ongoing absences of Noah Dobson (upper body) and Alexandre Carrier (upper body). The 21-year-old Reinbacher has 24 points in 57 AHL outings this season.
