  • James Reimer G | OTT

Senators' James Reimer: Not busy in Monday's win

Reimer made eight saves in Monday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.

Despite losing both Thomas Chabot (arm) and Lassi Thomson (lower body) during the contest, Ottawa's defense throttled New York's offense, and the Senators wound up outshooting the home side 33-9. Reimer lost his shutout bid midway through the third period, but he still came away with his fourth straight win dating back to Feb. 5, a stretch in which he's posted a 1.00 GAA and .933 save percentage.

  • James Hagens C | BOS

Bruins' James Hagens: Taking next step in hockey career

Hagens signed an amateur tryout agreement with AHL Providence on Monday.

Hagens just finished his second season with Boston College -- he generated 23 goals, 47 points and a plus-10 rating over 34 appearances. The 19-year-old is a major part of the Bruins' future, and the organization seemingly doesn't want to waste any time getting Hagens acclimated to a higher level of hockey. Hagens, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, will join AHL Providence on Tuesday for practice. The New York native has yet to sign his entry-level contract, but that could change down the final stretch of 2025-26 if the Bruins want a spark while battling for a playoff spot.

  • Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Joins Blackhawks on road trip

Frondell arrived in New York on Monday ahead of the Blackhawks' game against the Islanders on Tuesday, per Scott Powers of The Athletic.

Frondell just finished his season in the SHL, and considering he has already signed his entry-level contract with Chicago, it's not much of a surprise that the team's brass wanted the 18-year-old to join the Blackhawks after a strong campaign overseas. Powers noted that it's unclear if Frondell will play on Long Island on Tuesday. The Swedish center is a highly-regarded prospect who was selected No. 3 overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, and he'll eventually be a key piece in the top six with the likes of Connor Bedard, Frank Nazar and Sacha Boisvert (not injury related) in the coming years.

  • Senators' Lassi Thomson: Dealt tough hand in return to NHL

Head coach Travis Green stated after Monday's 2-1 win over the Rangers that Thomson (lower body) will be out for a while, according to Julian McKenzie of The Athletic.

Making his first appearance in the NHL since the 2022-23 campaign, Thomson logged two shots in just 4:25 of ice time before being unable to finish Monday's contest. Thomas Chabot (right arm) is also set for an absence, leaving the Senators extremely shorthanded ahead of a crucial divisional matchup in Detroit on Tuesday. Green said that two defensemen will be elevated from Ottawa's minor-league affiliate ahead of the team's second half of a back-to-back.

  • Senators' Thomas Chabot: Set to miss time

Head coach Travis Green said after Monday's 2-1 win over the Rangers that Chabot (right arm) will be out for a while, Julian McKenzie of The Athletic reports.

Chabot joins a growing list of injured Ottawa defensemen, as the team currently has only four healthy players on the blue line. Green relayed that two players from AHL Belleville will be brought up ahead of Tuesday's divisional matchup in Detroit. More information on Chabot's timeline for a return to the lineup may not be available until the team returns to Ottawa.

  • Senators' Lassi Thomson: Exits early Monday

Thomson (lower body) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's road game against the Rangers.

Thomson left Monday's game midway through the second period. He was the second blueliner for Ottawa to depart the contest, as Thomas Chabot left the game late in the first period due to an injury to his right arm. With the Senators playing the second half of a back-to-back Tuesday, Thomson will likely carry the questionable tag until further information is provided. If he can't go Tuesday, the Senators will likely weigh the option of calling up the 20-year-old defenseman Carter Yakemchuk, who is one of the top prospects in their minor-league system.

  • Senators' Thomas Chabot: Injured in Manhattan

Chabot has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's road game against the Rangers due to a right arm injury.

Chabot was cross-checked by J.T. Miller at the end of the first period. Lassi Thomson (lower body) was also injured Monday, leaving the Senators with four defensemen for the rest of this game against the Rangers. The Senators play in the second half of a back-to-back Tuesday in Detroit, so Chabot should be considered questionable, at best, for that matchup at this time.

  • Adam Boqvist D | NYI

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Pockets helper in rare outing

Boqvist logged an assist in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Blue Jackets.

Boqvist got into the lineup for Ryan Pulock (lower body) in this game. It was just the second appearance for Boqvist in the Islanders' last 19 contests, but he was able to make it count with an assist to end his 14-game point drought. The defenseman has just two helpers all season to go with eight shots on net, 11 hits, 19 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 22 appearances. Boqvist will likely return to the press box once Pulock can get back in the lineup.

  • Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Fills empty cage

Jankowski scored an empty-net goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Penguins.

Jankowski has three goals over his last seven outings. The 31-year-old center continues to work on the fourth line and penalty kill, with that latter role likely helping him stay in the lineup regularly over Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Jankowski is up to eight goals, 17 points, 53 shots on net, 37 hits and 39 blocked shots through 57 appearances this season.

  • Hurricanes' Jalen Chatfield: Puts away goal in win

Chatfield scored a goal in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Penguins.

This was just the second goal of the season for Chatfield. He snapped an eight-game point drought with the tally. The 29-year-old defenseman fills a shutdown role in the Hurricanes' top four, which explains his limited offense. For the season, he's at 16 points, 87 shots on net, 55 blocked shots, 34 hits and a plus-15 rating over 63 appearances, production roughly in line with what he's done over the last couple of years.
