  • Ryan Pulock D | NYI

    Islanders' Ryan Pulock: Unavailable Wednesday

Pulock (upper body) will miss Wednesday's game against Anaheim, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.

Pulock has three goals, 24 points, 12 PIM, 42 hits and 112 blocks in 59 outings in 2025-26. Adam Boqvist is slated to draw into the lineup for the first time since Jan. 26 due to Pulock's absence.

  • Curtis Lazar C | EDM

Oilers' Curtis Lazar: Expected to miss four weeks

Lazar (undisclosed) is slated to miss at least four weeks, according to head coach Kris Knoblach, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports Wednesday.

Based on his timeline, Lazar should not be expected back until early April, though it could certainly be longer. Prior to getting hurt, the 31-year-old center was mired in an 11-game pointless streak during which he recorded 20 hits, seven shots and eight PIM. With Lazar out, the Oilers could shift him to long-term injured reserve to free up some cap space.

  • Evander Kane LW | VAN

Canucks' Evander Kane: Game-time call Wednesday

Kane is dealing with an illness and is expected to be a game-time decision for Wednesday's match against Carolina, per Farhan Lalji of TSN.

Kane has 11 goals, 27 points, 78 PIM and 98 hits in 59 appearances with the Canucks in 2025-26. If he can't play Wednesday, then Max Sasson might draw back into the lineup.

  • Panthers' Tobias Bjornfot: Placed on waivers

Bjornfot was placed on waivers by the Panthers on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

The Panthers activated Bjornfot from injured reserve following the Olympic break, and he made his first appearance in nearly a month during Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Devils. He recorded one shot on goal and a blocked shot in 13:47 of ice time. He should head to AHL Charlotte if he goes unclaimed on waivers, where he'll have more consistent opportunities to contribute.

  • Jason Polin RW | COL

Avalanche's Jason Polin: Returns to minors

Polin was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Wednesday.

Polin had a hit and a block in 8:09 of ice time in the Avalanche's 5-1 victory over Anaheim on Tuesday. It was his third game with the Avalanche this season, though he hasn't recorded a point over that span. The 26-year-old also has nine goals and 20 points in 39 outings with AHL Colorado in 2025-26.

  • Canucks' Pierre-Olivier Joseph: Facing 2-3 week absence

Joseph (upper body) is expected to be sidelined for 2-3 weeks, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports Wednesday.

Joseph was already placed on injured reserve Tuesday, so his recovery timeline doesn't come as a significant shock. With Tyler Myers shipped off to Dallas and Joseph unavailable, Victor Mancini will step into the lineup on the third pairing. Even once cleared to play, Joseph is far from a lock to suit up every night.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Drawing start against Carolina

Lankinen will start Wednesday's home game against the Hurricanes, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.

Lankinen has struggled since the start of the calendar year, going 1-10-1 with a 4.13 GAA and .857 save percentage over his last 14 appearances. He made a road start against Carolina on Nov. 14 and allowed four goals on 38 shots in an overtime loss, and the Hurricanes rank sixth in the NHL with 3.40 goals per game this year.

  • Kings' Jacob Moverare: Back on roster

Moverare (personal) has been activated off the non-roster list Wednesday.

Moverare has spent more time in the press box as a healthy scratch this season than actually on the bench, logging just 15 games. In those outings, the 27-year-old defenseman has failed to get on the scoresheet, chipping in seven shots, three hits and 12 blocks while averaging 8:47 of ice time.

  • Sharks' Kiefer Sherwood: Agrees to five-year extension

Sherwood signed a five-year, $28.75 million contract extension with San Jose on Wednesday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic.

The Sharks acquired Sherwood from Vancouver on Jan. 19 in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 second-round selection and Cole Clayton. The 30-year-old Sherwood has 18 goals, 25 points, 127 shots, 30 PIM and 238 hits in 49 outings between Vancouver and San Jose in 2025-26. Although his overall points production isn't high, he does enough between his physical play and goal-scoring abilities to log significant minutes. He's averaged 17:32 of ice time this season, and that trend has continued with him logging 17:21 per game across four outings since the Olympic break.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Logs pair of assists

Robertson notched two assists and three shots on goal in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Flames.

Robertson's second helper came on the power play. The 26-year-old has three straight multi-point efforts with a power-play contribution in each of those games. He's up to a total of 34 goals, 38 assists, 30 power-play points, 217 shots on net and a plus-21 rating over 61 appearances. While he didn't get to represent Team USA at the Olympics, the 26-year-old appears motivated rather than disappointed, given his sustained excellent production.
