Roope Hintz LW | DAL
Stars' Roope Hintz: Dealing with illness
Hintz is questionable against the Kraken on Wednesday due to an illness, Robert Tiffin of D Magazine reports.
Hintz has generated points in 10 of his last 14 games, racking up three goals and nine assists, including four power-play points, in that span. With Radek Faksa (upper body) also questionable for Wednesday and Mikko Rantanen (lower body) sidelined, the Stars will almost certainly need to add some forward reinforcements prior to Wednesday's contest.

Radek Faksa C | DAL
Stars' Radek Faksa: Questionable for Wednesday's game
Faksa (upper body) is considered questionable for Wednesday's game against Seattle, Brien Rea of Victory+ reports.
Faksa suffered an upper-body injury while playing for Czechia at the 2026 Winter Olympics, forcing him to miss the team's final two games. While it's not yet clear whether he'll be available against the Kraken, his questionable status suggests that he may not be forced to miss extensive time even if he's sidelined Wednesday.

Casey DeSmith G | DAL
Stars' Casey DeSmith: Set to start Wednesday
DeSmith will patrol the home crease against Seattle on Wednesday, Brien Rea of Victory+ reports.
Due to travel logistics, it's unclear if Jake Oettinger will serve as the backup or if the Stars will recall a netminder from AHL Texas. DeSmith has gone 11-4-5 this season with one shutout, a 2.37 GAA and a .911 save percentage through 21 appearances. Seattle sits 23rd in the league with 2.88 goals per game this campaign.

Josh Morrissey D | WPG
Jets' Josh Morrissey: Likely to miss time after Olympics
Morrissey (upper body) will likely be sidelined when the Jets resume play this week, TSN.ca reports Monday.
Morrissey missed five games at the Olympics after sustaining an upper-body injury during Canada's tournament opener, and the issue is expected to force him to miss some time in the NHL. The blueliner still needs to be evaluated by the Jets' medical staff once he returns from Italy, but head coach Scott Arniel said Monday that Morrissey has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Canucks but could join the team at some point during the three-game road trip immediately following the Olympic break.

Ryan Reaves RW | SJ
Sharks' Ryan Reaves: Activated from IR
Reaves (upper body) was removed from injured reserve Monday.
Reaves missed San Jose's 4-2 loss to Colorado on Feb. 4 before the Olympic break, but he will be available for Thursday's matchup against Calgary. He has collected three goals, 23 shots on goal, 15 blocked shots, 142 hits and 32 PIM in 46 appearances this season.

Nikita Tolopilo G | VAN
Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Summoned from AHL
Tolopilo was brought up from AHL Abbotsford on Monday under emergency conditions.
Vancouver returned Aku Koskenvuo to the minors in a corresponding move. Tolopilo has a 3-3-1 record with a 3.04 GAA and a .910 save percentage in nine NHL appearances this season.

Aku Koskenvuo G | VAN
Canucks' Aku Koskenvuo: Sent to AHL
Koskenvuo was assigned to AHL Abbotsford on Monday.
Koskenvuo was recalled by the Canucks last Tuesday to practice with the NHL club late in the Olympic break, but he'll return to the minors before the team resumes play. Over nine appearances with Abbotsford this year, he's gone 2-5-0 with a 3.20 GAA and .895 save percentage.

Kevin Connauton D | UTA
Mammoth's Kevin Connauton: Sent back to minors
Connauton was reassigned to AHL Tucson on Monday.
Connauton hasn't played in an NHL game since 2021-22, when he played in 39 regular-season games for the Panthers and Flyers. The veteran blueliner was on the Mammoth roster during the Olympic break but will now rejoin the Roadrunners. Given his lack of NHL opportunities, Connauton figures to be a non-factor in fantasy contests.

Maksymilian Szuber D | UTA
Mammoth's Maksymilian Szuber: Returned to AHL
Szuber was assigned to AHL Tucson on Monday.
Szuber practiced with Utah on Sunday after being summoned from the minors. He has notched 10 goals and 24 points in 44 AHL outings this season.

Jake Lucchini C | NSH
Predators' Jake Lucchini: Inks one-year extension
Lucchini agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract extension with Nashville on Monday.
Lucchini is having a great season with AHL Milwaukee, racking up 13 goals and 25 helpers in 48 games this year. Given his offensive upside, the Michigan Tech product could see some minutes at the NHL level before the end of the 2025-26 campaign and could be in the mix for an Opening Night roster spot next year.
