Thomas arrived in Houston on Monday for a workout, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle repotrs.
The Texans placed A.J. Moore (hamstring) on the injured list Monday, so it looks like there's legitimate interest in Thomas, who was released by the Ravens in August. One league source said there's a "strong chance" the Texans sign him if the audition and meetings with team officials go well. The Ravens cited personal conduct issues for releasing him, so the Texans will do their due diligence.

Ravens' Earl Thomas III: Back at practice Wednesday
Rotowire
Thomas (knee/hand) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
Thomas sat out Tuesday's practice for non-injury reasons, and he's now resumed participating without any limitations. The veteran safety is on track to play his usual every-down role in Baltimore's secondary during Saturday's divisional-round tilt against the Titans.

Ravens' Earl Thomas: Gearing up for SNF
Rotowire
Thomas (knee) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Patriots.
Thomas carried a questionable tag into this contest, but he said Thursday he expected to play. He will indeed suit up and start at strong safety. Thomas has only missed a few defensive snaps all year, and he's averaging 3.4 stops per game.

Ravens' Earl Thomas: Grabs INT versus Dolphins
Rotowire
Thomas made a tackle and snagged an interception in Sunday's 59-10 win over the Dolphins.
Thomas recorded three interceptions in four games for the Seahawks last season before suffering a broken leg, and he's picking up right where he left off. Although the one tackle is unimpressive for Thomas' stat line, expect more out of the veteran safety when the Ravens face off against a more competent Cardinals team in Week 2.

Ravens' Earl Thomas: Set for offseason program
Rotowire
Thomas (lower leg) appears to be ready to go for the Ravens' voluntary offseason workouts, Sean Grogan of the Cecil Whig reports.
Thomas is bouncing back from a fractured tibia he sustained last September. The six-time Pro Bowler reportedly spent time working out with teammates before voluntary offseason workouts commenced April 15, and by all accounts, he seems to be making a strong first impression in Baltimore. Fresh off signing a four-year, $55 million contract with the team last month, Thomas has plenty of talent around him in the secondary, including the league's highest-paid slot corner in Tavon Young. The Ravens also bring back 2017 first-rounder Marlon Humphrey along with veterans Brandon Carr and Jimmy Smith.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Diagnosed with broken leg
Rotowire
Thomas suffered a lower left leg fracture during Sunday's 20-17 win over the Cardinals, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Coach Pete Carroll said the injury may be related to the broken tibia Thomas suffered in December of 2016. The 29-year-old safety likely will be placed on injured reserve, presumably with no intention of trying to return this season. Thomas has been at odds with the Seahawks over his contract, which is set to expire during the offseason. The team likely will turn to Tedric Thompson at free safety.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Available Sunday
Rotowire
Thomas (personal) is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
After missing practice Friday due to personal reasons, Thomas' status was in some flux. Prior to the 1 PM ET kickoffs, Jay Glazer of FOX reported that Thomas has been staging a 'hold-in' during Seahawks practices, remaining on the sideline rather than take part in drills is a way to force a trade while not technically taking part in a holdout. Thomas is available Sunday and should start, but it'll be interesting to see if coach Pete Carroll limits the safety's snap count.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Misses practice for personal reasons
Rotowire
Thomas missed Friday's practice for personal reasons, leaving his status uncertain for Sunday's game against Dallas, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
It would be interesting if Thomas were to end up missing a game against the team that was widely rumored to have interest in trading for him this offseason. It would also be good news for the Dallas offense, though the return of middle linebacker Bobby Wagner does give Seattle at least one veteran leader in the middle of the field. Thomas has looked like his usual self through the first two weeks of the season, tallying 11 tackles, an interception and two passes defended. Tedric Thompson is next in line for the starting job at free safety.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Expected to start Week 1
Rotowire
Thomas, who reported to the team earlier this week, was activated Saturday and is expected to start Sunday's season opener against the Broncos, Dan Graziano of ESPN.com reports.
For Thomas to be eligible to play Sunday, Seattle had to activate him by Saturday afternoon. Cornerback Simeon Thomas was waived earlier this week to make room for Thomas on the roster. Thomas is expected to suit up Sunday, and the 29-year-old could cause trouble for Case Keenum in his Broncos debut.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Unlikely to be traded
Rotowire
The Seahawks don't plan to trade Thomas (holdout) before Week 1 kicks off, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Schefter added that interested teams simply aren't making enticing offers, so no trade will happen unless they up their compensation offers dramatically. Every game Thomas sit out, he will lose his $500,000 game check, not to mention the fines Seattle can levy on him. Still, the 29-year-old maintains his poker face and says he won't return without a new contract, whether it's with the Seahawks or another team.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Not expected to hold out
Rotowire
Per general manager John Schneider, Thomas will not hold out in 2018 even if he doesn't have a new contract, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Thomas had 88 tackles, seven pass breakups and two picks in 2017, and the Seahawks' secondary is already shaky since they released CB Richard Sherman. However, contract talks between Thomas and the Seahawks halted in early March, and it's still unclear if negotiations will fire back up. Just because Thomas won't hold out doesn't mean he'll be on the team in 2018, since he could still be traded if a deal isn't made.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Could still be moved
Rotowire
General manager John Schneider wouldn't rule out trading Thomas this offseason, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. "Earl's under contract for another season, and if we're not listening to everybody we are not doing a very good job," Schneider said at the annual league meeting Monday. "So we have to listen to everything that's going on all the time."
Schneider wouldn't be doing his due diligence if he wasn't paying attention to entreaties from other organizations. Moreover, it would be consistent with the Seahawks' roster moves this month, which includes stalwarts Richard Sherman, Jimmy Graham, Michael Bennett, Sheldon Richardson and Paul Richardson, among others, moving on in some way, shape or form. Thomas was a tackle fiend when on the field in 2017, racking up at least six in eight of 14 games en route to 88 total. He also tacked on two interceptions, including one pick-six, and one forced fumble. The preceding level of play helped Thomas finish as the sixth-ranked safety, per Pro Football Focus.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Willing to hold out for new contract
Rotowire
Thomas will consider holding out in 2018 if he and the Seahawks don't agree to a contract extension this summer, Michael DiRocco and Brady Henderson of ESPN report. "I definitely don't see myself going out there not signed," Thomas said Thursday.
Thomas is entering the final year of the four-year extension he signed in 2014 that made him the highest-paid safety in the league. We'd expect him to be chasing a deal similar to the six-year, $78 million deal the Chiefs gave Eric Berry last summer. Considering he's perennially been among the best at his position -- Thomas is a three-time All-Pro who's been selected to the Pro Bowl in six of his eight professional seasons -- Seattle presumably has a mutual interest in keeping the Texas product around for years to come. In fact, it would seemingly be a priority for the Seahawks to secure his services for the foreseeable future given the uncertainty that surrounds the team's other defensive stars, that being Richard Sherman (Achilles), Kam Chancellor (neck) and Cliff Avril (neck).

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Avoids injury designation
Rotowire
Thomas (heel) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Rams, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Thomas returned to practice as a full participant Friday, as the Seahawks appear to have exercised caution with the safety's usage early in the week. The veteran is coming off a Week 14 loss to the Jaguars during which he produced his second-best tackle total of the season, notching nine stops across 66 snaps.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Fails to practice Thursday
Rotowire
Thomas (heel) didn't practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
In Week 13, Thomas suddenly landed on Thursday's injury report with precisely the same ailment and was deemed questionable for the ensuing contest. No matter, he's taken the field for all 141 of the Seahawks' defensive snaps in the meantime, so the current absence should be considered a maintenance day for the eight-year veteran.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Tending to heel injury
Rotowire
Thomas was unable to practice Thursday due to a heel injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Thomas was unhindered at Wednesday's session, so his sudden appearance on the injury report is potentially worrisome for a Seattle secondary already without Richard Sherman (Achilles) and Kam Chancellor (neck) for the rest of the season. To make matters worse, the Eagles' third-ranked offense is coming to town this weekend. Head coach Pete Carroll will likely address Thomas' health Friday, after which the final report of the week will reveal the safety's chances to play Sunday.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Logs full practice
Rotowire
Thomas (hamstring) was a full participant at Friday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of SeattlePI.com reports.
Thomas has been sidelined for the Seahawks' previous two contests while nursing a hamstring injury. The 28-year-old free safety appears on track for a return, though, as he has seen his practice workload increase throughout the week. Assuming he avoids any setbacks, Thomas should resume his usual role anchoring the team's secondary in Week 11.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Set to remain out Week 10
Rotowire
Thomas (hamstring), who is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Cardinals, won't suit up for the contest, Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.
The Seahawks may not formally rule Thomas out until inactives are released 90 minutes before the 8:25 p.m. EST kickoff, but given Anderson's report, it looks safe to conclude the safety will miss his second straight game. Bradley McDougald should pick up another start in Thomas' stead after accruing a season-high five tackles across 69 snaps in the Week 9 loss to the Redskins.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Will be game-time call
Rotowire
Head coach Pete Carroll said Thomas (hamstring) will be a game-time decision Thursday in Arizona, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Initially discussed as dealing with a "low-level" hamstring strain by Carroll, Thomas was unable to practice last week before he was ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Redskins. Making his presence felt by Wednesday's session will aid in the decision-making process, but the Seahawks could also use the schedule to their advantage as they won't play again until Monday, Nov. 20. If Thomas receives an inactive tag Thursday, the Seahawks will turn to Bradley McDougald at free safety yet again.

Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Officially ruled out
Rotowire
Thomas (hamstring) was officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Redskins, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Thomas was thought to have a slight chance of playing this week, but the Seahawks evidently won't be taking any chances with the four-time All-Pro safety. Bradley McDougald will take over at free safety in Thomas' stead, according to Stefanie Loh of The Seattle Times.
