  • Marvin Jones: Released by Lions

The Lions released Jones on Tuesday in order for the wide receiver to attend to a family matter, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. Jones didn't travel with the Lions for their Week 7 matchup with the Ravens for personal reasons. He then announced on Instagram on Tuesday that he's "stepping away from the team to take care of personal family matters," per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. It's unclear if Jones will be available at any point for the remainder of the campaign, but if not, he'll end his second stint in Detroit with five catches (on 10 targets) for 35 yards and no touchdowns.

  • Lions' Marvin Jones: Not playing Sunday

Jones will not travel to Baltimore and has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game due to the Ravens due to personal reasons. The veteran hasn't been involved significantly in games when the top Lions pass catchers have all been healthy. More information as to why Jones will miss Sunday's matchup will likely arrive in the coming days.

  • Lions' Marvin Jones: Small role with St. Brown back

Jones caught his only target for five yards during Sunday's 20-6 win over Tampa Bay. After seeing nearly 60 percent of the snaps last week, Jones fell below 30 percent with Amon-Ra St. Brown back in action. With second-year wideout Jameson Williams' role set to expand as the season unfolds, Jones' playing time could dwindle even further.

  • Lions' Marvin Jones: Two targets in expanded role

Jones caught both targets for 22 yards during Sunday's 42-24 win over Carolina. Jones had seen his playing time decrease with every passing week until Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) was forced to miss his first game of the season. Not only did Jones see a bump in playing time in St. Brown's absence, but he ultimately led all Lions wideouts in snaps as well. However, the 33-year-old yet again did little with his opportunities, and Jones now has a grand total of four catches (on nine targets) for 30 yards this season. There's little reason to trust Jones for fantasy purposes entering a Week 6 matchup with Tampa Bay.

  • Lions' Marvin Jones: Playing time dwindling

Jones was targeted once but did not catch a pass during Thursday's 34-20 win over Green Bay. After logging over half of the offensive snaps in Week 1, Jones has seen his snap share decline with each passing week. With Josh Reynolds and Kalif Raymond effectively complementing top receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and tight end Sam LaPorta, there's no reason to expect Jones' usage to spike anytime soon. The return of Jameson Williams (suspension) in Week 7 will make it even harder for the veteran wideout to make a dent in the box score.

  • Lions' Marvin Jones: No targets again

Jones was not targeted with a pass during Sunday's 20-6 win over Atlanta. While Jones continued to log at least 39 percent of the offensive snaps, he has yet to receive a target since his disappointing performance in Week 1. This time, all 29 of Jared Goff's pass attempts to non-running backs went to Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta and Kalif Raymond. Possibly washed at 33 years old, Jones will look to turn back the clock in Thursday's Week 4 matchup with the Packers.

  • Lions' Marvin Jones: Blanked by Seattle

Jones was not targeted with a pass during Sunday's 37-31 loss to Seattle. Jones again logged about half of the offensive snaps despite a poor showing in the season opener. While a significant downturn in usage rate provided no opportunities for him to put up any stats, the 33-year-old veteran didn't do much with the six targets he saw in Week 1 anyway. Next up for Jones is a Week 3 matchup with a talented Falcons secondary.

  • Lions' Marvin Jones: Forgettable regular-season debut

Jones caught two of six targets for eight yards while losing a fumble during Thursday's 21-20 win over Kansas City. Putting together one of the more forgettable games of his career, Jones saw plenty of opportunity but was clearly outdone by Josh Reynolds as the top complimentary receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown. The 33-year-old dropped at least one pass that could have led to a possible field-goal try before halftime, and then Jones' first career fumble cost the Lions another likely field-goal attempt in the fourth quarter during crunch time. Even with Jameson Williams suspended for another five games, Jones is hardly on the fantasy radar entering a Week 2 matchup against Seattle.

  • Lions' Marvin Jones: Headed back to Detroit

Jones signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Lions on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Jones posted 46 receptions on 81 targets for 529 yards and three touchdowns across 16 appearances with the Jaguars in 2022, his least productive healthy season since his rookie campaign. The 2012 fifth-round pick will head back to Detroit, with whom he played from 2016 through 2020, including a 2017 campaign in which he set a career high with 1,101 receiving yards. With DJ Chark now in Carolina, Jones will likely slot in as the No. 3 wideout behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, who should be store for a heftier workload after a lost rookie season.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Notches two receptions in Week 18

Jones recorded two catches (on six targets) for 29 yards during Saturday's 20-16 win versus the Titans. After posting no more than 22 yards in five consecutive games following a Week 11 bye, Jones paced all Jaguars with 61 yards and seven targets last Sunday in Houston. His Week 18 performance thus is in line with his recent standard, Week 17 aside, but at the very least the Jaguars were able to clinch the AFC South title, meaning he's on pace for action in the wild-card round next weekend.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Just 15 yards in win

Jones caught three of four targets for 15 yards during Thursday's 19-3 win over the Jets. Evan Engram had seven receptions for 113 yards during Thursday's contest and was the only Jacksonville pass catcher with at least 30 yards. Jones is averaging 1.8 receptions and 21.0 yards across the past six games and has minimal fantasy relevance, especially with Engram now enjoying a consistent role in the passing game.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Catches touchdown in OT win

Jones caught two of six targets for 17 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 40-34 overtime win over the Cowboys. The veteran wideout finished fourth on the team in targets, and his only play of note Sunday was a 10-yard touchdown reception during the third quarter. Jones has eight catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns across the past five games. He has a limited role in Jacksonville's aerial attack and doesn't have much fantasy utility while Christian Kirk and Zay Jones remain healthy.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Single target in win

Jones caught his lone target for 22 yards during Sunday's 36-22 win against the Titans. The 32-year-old played a season-low 35 offensive snaps and saw only one target, while No. 4 wideout Jamal Agnew had four touches for 44 yards despite seeing only 11 snaps. Jones has multiple receptions in just one of the past four games, resulting in six catches (on 11 targets) for 94 yards and a touchdown during that span.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: One catch Week 13

Jones caught one of four targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Lions. The veteran wideout played 68 percent of the offensive snaps, but Christian Kirk was the team's only standout on a day where Jacksonville mustered just 266 yards of offense. Jones has only five receptions for 72 yards across the past three games, though he did catch a touchdown during that span.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Catches one pass in loss

Jones caught one of three targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 27-17 loss to Kansas City. The 32-year-old played only 69 percent of Jacksonville's offensive snaps while Christian Kirk and Zay Jones saw every-down roles and combined for 22 targets. It's the second time in the past three games Jones (Marvin, that is) has failed to record more than one reception. He enters Jacksonville's Week 11 bye with 28 catches for 346 yards and one touchdown through nine contests.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Five catches against Raiders

Jones recorded five catches on six targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Raiders. Jones bounced back from a catchless performance in Week 8 to finish second on the Jaguars in targets, yards and receptions, though he now has below 50 receiving yards in seven of his nine games on the campaign. His longest gain of the day went for 15 yards. It's difficult to project that things will get much better for Jones, as the Jaguars primarily run their offense through Christian Kirk and Travis Etienne.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: No catches in London

Jones failed to catch any of three targets during Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Broncos in London. Jones had 11 catches for 161 yards in his previous two games, but he had zero receptions Sunday for the second time this season. The 32-year-old's involvement in the passing game has been inconsistent this year, and QB Trevor Lawrence's continued struggles further limits the wideout's fantasy outlook.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Posts 57 yards on eight targets

Jones caught four of eight targets for 57 yards during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Giants. The veteran wideout returned from a one-game absence Sunday and finished third on the team in targets. Jones totaled only 104 receiving yards through the first four weeks of the season, but he has 11 catches for 161 yards over his past two games.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Cleared for Week 7

Jones (hamstring) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Giants. Jones sat out last week with the hamstring injury but will return to action Sunday after being listed as questionable. The 32-year-old hasn't been consistently featured in Jacksonville's aerial attack this season, though he caught seven of 11 targets for 104 yards during his last game Week 5 versus the Texans.

  • Jaguars' Marvin Jones: Says he will play

Jones (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, said that he will play, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Jones missed last week's loss to the Colts but returned to practice in a limited fashion this week. His status for Sunday won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
