  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Questionable to return Sunday night

Raymond (cramps) is questionable to return to Sunday night's game against the Texans, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Detroit's punt returner returned three on the evening for 15 total yards. Raymond has 330 punt return yards and a touchdown this season, as well as 14 catches for 174 yards and two scores. Craig Reynolds is Detroit's backup kick returner to Khalil Dorsey.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: One catch in Week 9

Raymond caught his only target for 12 yards while also recording a loss of 12 yards on his lone carry in Sunday's 24-14 win over the Packers. Raymond was unable to extend his touchdown streak to three games, seeing limited volume while playing 21 offensive snaps. He didn't see a major bump in usage over the last two weeks with Jameson Williams (suspension) unavailable, and with the Lions' No. 2 WR set to return in Week 10, Raymond will get bumped back down the depth chart.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Scores twice in Week 8

Raymond caught both of his targets for 14 yards and a touchdown while also notching a 90-yard punt return touchdown in Sunday's 52-14 win over the Titans. Raymond was expected to take on a larger offensive workload with Jameson Williams (suspension) unavailable, and he made the most of his limited touches in Week 8. The wide receiver opened the scoring in the second half, returning a punt for a score, before later adding a seven-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. Raymond will have one more opportunity to step up in the absence of Williams in Week 9 versus the Packers.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Role could increase sans Williams

Raymond could be the beneficiary of increased snaps due to Jameson Williams serving a two-game suspension and set to miss contests Sunday against the Titans and in Week 9 at Green Bay, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports. Amon-Ra St. Brown remains locked in as the Lions' No. 1 wideout, but Williams' absence will likely free up more snaps and perhaps an extra target or two for the likes of Raymond, Tim Patrick and Allen Robinson, while tight end Sam LaPorta could also see more involvement in the passing game after a slow start to the season. The 5-foot-8, 180-pound Raymond -- who clocked a 4.34-second 40-yard dash time coming out of college in 2016 -- is probably the Lions' best option to replace the downfield routes and gadget plays that were often designed for Williams, though Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson may not dial up those kind of play calls as frequently with Williams out of the lineup. While playing fewer than 40 percent of the snaps in both of the past two weeks, Raymond was able to make an impact during his limited time in the field, recording seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Four catches in Week 6

Raymond caught four of six targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 47-9 win over the Cowboys. Raymond played 24 offensive snaps in the victory over Dallas, his highest total since Week 2, and he turned his added opportunities into a season high in both catches and yardage. Entering play Sunday, the wide receiver had only seen five total targets on the year, and he still remains buried behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Tim Patrick on Detroit's depth chart. Through five games in 2024, Raymond has caught eight of 11 targets for 109 yards.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: One catch in Week 4

Raymond caught his only target for nine yards in Monday's 42-29 win over the Seahawks. Raymond was on the field for just five offensive snaps in the contest. The wide receiver has played 10 snaps with the offense over the last two weeks and it appears as though Tim Patrick has taken control of the No. 3 role behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams in Detroit.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Looks set as No. 3 receiver

Raymond appears to have solidified himself as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports. Raymond is positioned to replace the departed Josh Reynolds as the No. 3 wide receiver, though given the importance of TE Sam LaPorta (hamstring) and RB Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) in the passing game, that isn't a role that will necessarily translate to regular targets. Pouncy notes that Donovan Peoples-Jones and Daurice Fountain have also made some noise at training camp, but barring any additions to the wide receiver room, Raymond looks set to start in three-wide sets. He will have a chance to further entrench himself during Saturday's preseason game against the Chiefs.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Taking part in OTAs

Raymond (knee) participated in the Lions' OTA session Wednesday. He missed the entirety of the Lions' playoff run last season after being injured in the regular-season finale, but Raymond looks to be back to full health well in advance of training camp. Raymond is currently penciled in as the Lions' third receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams after Josh Reynolds left as a free agent and after Detroit didn't draft a single wideout last month. Raymond's primary competition will come from Donovan Peoples-Jones and 2023 seventh-round pick Antoine Green.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Won't return Sunday

Raymond (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. The 29-year-old wideout is now set to miss his third consecutive game after sustaining a knee injury during the Lions' Week 18 win over the Vikings. Donovan Peoples-Jones could be in for a larger role in Detroit's wide receiver corps without Raymond in the NFC Championship Game.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Misses Thursday's practice

Raymond (knee) didn't participate in Thursday's practice. Since sustaining a knee injury during the Lions' regular-season finale, Raymond has failed to appear in either of the team's first two playoff games. His chances to play in the NFC Championship Game seem slim after he began Detroit's week of practice with back-to-back DNPs, and he will almost certainly carry an injury designation into the weekend unless he's able to practice in full Friday.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Doesn't participate in walkthrough

Raymond (knee) didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough practice. Raymond has remained out for both of Detroit's first two playoff games after injuring his knee in the team's Week 18 win over the Vikings. When healthy, the 29-year-old serves as a depth receiver and as the Lions' punt returner, but Donovan Peoples-Jones would see an expanded role on both offense and special teams if Raymond ends up sitting out Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Still not practicing

Raymond (knee) was a non-participant at practice Thursday. Raymond has yet to experience any on-field work since injuring his knee Week 18 versus the Vikings, but coach Dan Campbell told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press on Wednesday that the wide receiver is "better," and the Lions won't know for sure if he has a chance to return this weekend until "Friday or Saturday." As a result, Raymond's listing on Friday's practice report may be key in terms of his odds of suiting up for Sunday's divisional-round game against the Buccaneers.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Sidelined to begin divisional-round prep

Raymond (knee) didn't practice Wednesday. Per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, head coach Dan Campbell said Wednesday that Raymond's injured knee is improving, but the depth receiver and punt returner's status for Sunday's divisional-round game against the Buccaneers remains uncertain. Raymond seems unlikely to practice Thursday, but a return to the field Friday could set the stage for him to play Sunday.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Won't play in wild-card round

Raymond (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's wild-card round game against the Rams, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports. Raymond injured his knee in Week 18 and was subsequently unable to practice prior to being ruled out for Sunday's playoff opener. On the bright side, fellow wide receiver Jameson Williams (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation, so the Lions will have top three wideouts Amon-Ra St. Brown, Williams and Josh Reynolds available. With Raymond ruled out, Donovan Peoples-Jones could step up as both a depth receiver and punt returner.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Won't return Week 18

Raymond (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Vikings. Raymond sustained the knee injury in the second half of Sunday's contest and will not return. He finishes the day with two catches for 50 yards and returned four punts for 89 yards.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Three touches against Vikings

Raymond caught two of two targets for 29 yards while rushing once for eight yards during Sunday's win over Minnesota. Still running comfortably as the No. 4 option at wide receiver, Raymond got a few touches on offense but didn't even attempt a punt return. He'll remain off the fantasy radar Week 17 against Dallas.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: One catch against Broncos

Raymond secured his only target for 12 yards during Saturday's win over the Broncos. Raymond again logged less than a third of the offensive snaps while remaining the primary option on punt returns. The rotational deep threat will remain off the fantasy radar in most formats entering a Week 16 showdown with the Vikings.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Targeted four times in Week 14

Raymond caught three of four targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Bears. Raymond operated as the Lions' No. 4 wideout Sunday, playing just 23 of Detroit's 65 offensive snaps. In 13 games this season, the veteran has recorded 29 receptions for 387 yards and one touchdown as a member of the Lions' crowded receiving corps. Raymond limited playing time, however, make him difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production each week. The 29-year-old will look to make the most of his opportunities in Week 15 when the Lions host the Broncos.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Tending to ankle issue

Raymond was a limited participant in practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury. More often than not this season, Raymond's weekly snap share has resided between 20 and 40 percent, having surpassed the latter just two times in a nine games. His two catches (on four targets) for 46 yards during this past Sunday's win at the Chargers was one of his better tallies on the campaign, but now that he's dealing with a health concern, his status will be monitored as the week continues to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's matchup with the Bears.

  • Lions' Kalif Raymond: Snags two passes

Raymond caught two passes on four targets for 24 yards while rushing once for minus-2 yards during Monday's win over Las Vegas. Even though Raymond ran as the fourth receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Reynolds and Jameson Williams, he finished second among the bunch in most receiving categories. However, he logged only about a quarter of the offensive snaps, and he probably won't see much more than that in any game going forward with Detroit prioritizing the development of Williams.
