  • Vikings' Dalvin Tomlinson: Ruled out Sunday

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said Tomlinson won't be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list in time to play Sunday against the 49ers, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Zimmer essentially confirmed that Tomlinson contracted the virus, as Mike Garafolo of NFL Network previously relayed that three of the four NFL players placed on the list Tuesday were the result of positive COVID-19 tests, while multiple reports suggested Joe Flacco was the lone player deactivated as a result of being a close contact of an infected person. Because Tomlinson is an unvaccinated player who tested positive, he'll be subject to an automatic 10-day quarantine, which puts the defensive tackle on track to miss practice time Week 13 as well. Tomlinson could still be activated from the list in time to play in the Vikings' game later that week against the Lions on Dec. 5.
