    Martin and the Panthers agreed to terms on a two-year contract Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Martin appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Panthers in 2025 and averaged 47.2 yards per punt. He landed 27 of his 56 punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line, which was ninth best in the NFL.

  • Panthers' Sam Martin: Back in action Monday

    Martin (hamstring) was activated off the active/non-football injury list Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Martin returned to practice Monday after being sidelined with a hamstring injury for the first week of camp. The 35-year-old signed a one-year contract with Carolina in March after spending the last three seasons in Buffalo. He is expected to be the Panthers' starting punter once the regular season starts.

Martin was released by the Bills on Thursday after spending the last three seasons in Buffalo, and he'll head to Carolina to replace Johnny Hekker.
