Philadelphia released Quarterman on Sunday.
Quarterman had been competing for a depth linebacker role with the Eagles, but he'll now need to look for an opportunity elsewhere. The 26-year-old spent his first four seasons with the Jaguars, and he suited up in all 17 regular-season games each year from 2021 to 2023. However, Quarterman played almost exclusively on special teams last season, logging only eight defensive snaps.

Quarterman (knee) is set to practice in full Wednesday, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Quarterman having progressed to practicing without limitations seems like a sure indication that he'll come off IR in the near future. The rookie fourth-round pick's role has been completely limited to special teams this season.

Jaguars' Shaquille Quarterman: Questionable for Sunday
Rotowire
Quarterman is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans with a knee injury, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
The rookie fourth-round pick wasn't listed on the injury report Wednesday or Thursday, so it appears to be a fresh injury. Quarterman has yet to play a defensive snap this season, so his availability shouldn't impact Jacksonville's gameplan.
