Born and raised in London, Traore was a soccer player first before joining the NFL Academy and then enrolling at Clearwater Academy to finish high school. Then he went to Arkansas State, later following that up with three years at Mississippi State. In 2025, the 6-foot-4, 244-pounder matched his career touchdown total with five scores while averaging 10.5 yards per grab on 35 receptions. Traore has really good athleticism and not-bad hands that the Dolphins could eventually shape into a contributor. If you have the patience and roster room to stash Traore, particularly in TE-premium leagues, a final-round flier might pay off down the line.

Traore failed to catch his sole target in Friday's preseason finale against the Dolphins.
Traore played 26 offensive snaps for the Dolphins in the contest as a reserve tight end. The rookie fifth-rounder is in line for a regular-season role that will predominantly require blocking for the offense and special-teams units. It is unlikely that Traore can surpass Greg Dulcich or Will Kacmarek (undisclosed) enough to earn any substantial looks in the passing game.

The Dolphins selected Traore in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 180th overall.
A native of England, Trore is the first draft pick from the NFL Academy. Traore compiled 35 catches for 369 yards and five touchdowns in his senior season at Mississippi State, and he only started playing football in 2020. He's raw as a result and has plenty of developing to do, but Traore is athletic and a receiving threat, boasting enough size (6-foot-4, 244 pounds) for the modern tight end position. While Traore is likely bound to be a special-teams contributor as a rookie, Miami's tight end room is nothing to write home about, headlined by Greg Dulcich and 2026 third-round pick Will Kacmarek, so there's a chance he moves his way up the chart as he gets coached up at the next level.
