Delp (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday.
The tight end has been dealing with the hamstring issue since August and had to miss the Saints' Week 1 loss to the Lions. Delp had to miss practices last week, though, so he is at least trending in the right direction. The third-round pick in April's draft is still trying to make his regular-season NFL debut.

Delp likely sustained his injury during the Saints' second preseason game against the Rams. The tight end has not practiced since sustaining the injury and likely won't suit up for the Week 1 contest against the Lions. If Delp can quickly increase his practice participation before Friday, he could change his fate.

Delp caught three of six targets for 10 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason loss to Jacksonville.
Delp's touchdown came on a pass from Zach Wilson on a play from the 1-yard line. It wasn't all roses for the rookie tight end, however, as he also had multiple drops. Delp is looking to cement a spot as the Saints' No. 3 tight end behind Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant, and his TD should help his case despite the uneven performance.
