Douglas has the perfect storm of an open competition at receiver against minimal veteran talent. It'll make him decent as far as late-round fliers in deeper redraft leagues go, but he'll especially garner attention late in every keeper league and with a top-20 pick in rookie-only drafts. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 206 pounds, the third-rounder out of Texas Tech is a solid route runner with really good change-of-direction skills and juke moves. He's not as physical as you might like, and he's more of a strider than a speedster, but he's a two-year starter whose experience in a spread offense should translate cleanly into what the Dolphins could do in 2026. Even if he goes undrafted in seasonal formats, don't be surprised if he ends up being a bye-week option this year.

Douglas has had some impressive moments during training camp but has been inconsistent so far, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
Douglas has a prime opportunity to secure a prominent role among a Miami receiving corps that parted ways with both Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill (knee - ACL) during the offseason. Head coach Jeff Hafley said Monday that he's been "impressed" by Douglas but also indicated that the rookie wideout has "a ways to go for what we expect of him." After being drafted in the third round of April's NFL Draft, Douglas has naturally received high expectations, and he landed in a great spot in terms of opportunity, as the Dolphins don't have a clear top WR in a group that also includes Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell near the top of the potential pecking order.

Douglas passed his conditioning test Tuesday and is all set for training camp, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
The third-round rookie out of Texas Tech had "tweaked something" during the Dolphins' mandatory minicamp, but the wide receiver has since recovered from the issue. Douglas' speed and size could provide a solid boundary presence for quarterback Malik Willis. The 6-foot-4 receiver will need to beat out quite a few players, including fellow rookies Chris Bell (knee) and Kevin Coleman, to receive a decent offensive snap share in 2026.

The Dolphins selected Douglas in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 75th overall.
Douglas (6-foot-4, 206 pounds) was a decent enough player at Texas Tech, where he went over 800 yards each of the last two years, but he wasn't productive in his two years at Florida before that, and he never really broke out the way an athlete like him should. Douglas' 4.39 speed on his big frame should have made him a dominant collegiate receiver, but instead he was just a solid one. This pick would have been an easier sell in the fifth round instead of the third.
